I Really Want A Job But .

I am 24 and really want to quit my job and travel the world. I could make it work, finding odd jobs here and there. My hesitation: what do I do when I'm 30 and I want to settle down and have kids?

The answer is a restrospective question, what do you have to lose? or what you have not to lose, assuming you quit your work tommorow and travel the world. At 24 unless you have a education loan or you are from a developing country with a parents to raise out of poverty. You have all the independence you ever need and the world is your playground. You are at a stage where you don't own anything or puting it in more practical current world scenario, nothing owns you. If your only inhibiton is your fear of settling down after 6 years, ask yourself do you remotely even think that thats what you would want after 6 years hardcore travelling around the world. Now in the event you still prefer to settle down get married after 6 years. Here is the biggest challenges you will find. You would have saved nothing. Your odd jobs here and there is not gonna showcase a solid skillset to a probable employer. You would most likely have lost all respect for the materialistic pursuits. There are a trillion ways beating this. Some common skills like a degree in nursing, teaching, etc applies to any country non-profits or corporates alike. Travelling with these skillset would enrich them. You would be able to appreciate who policies affect, how people think and react. and these wont be specific to any geographic regions. So to repeat again  if your only inhibiton is your fear of settling down after 6 years leave it behind and BOOK THOSE DAMN FLIGHT TCKETS.Your very definition of settling down would have dramatically changed. The whole concept of"settling down" is a social/ community imbibed need. You would be more aware of far deeper humanitarian and purposeful needs. I am not saying you are gonna end up a lonely hermit meditating in the upper himalayas. May be you would or may be you would just turn out to be a school principal in remote regions of congo. What if by the end of it all you would be teaching your tennage kids never to settle down. What do they have to lose? or what they have not to lose...

I REALLY WANT A JOB... IM 14 !?

Although you may have a good chance at getting a job at Publix--it would likely be just as a bagger. That may not sound bad to you, but read on. I have been working at Publix for many years. The benefits are excellent and the pay is fair. The hours are even good (very flexible). However, there is a down side. If you are hired as a customer service clerk (bagger), you must be aware that most Publix stores have a strict policy about carryout service and service in general. They expect you to greet the customer, unload the cart, turn the cart around and then grab the cart by the handle after you finish bagging the order. Then you have to take two steps towards the door and say "Which way out to your car"? If the customer refuses, then you must tell them that you'll be glad to take it out for them. If they refuse again, then you have to wish them a nice day, and thank them, for shopping there. You have to do it with every single order. If you do not, you will have someone in management take you to the back office and SCREAM LIKE HELL at you. I'm sure Atlanta is just as hot as it is here in South Florida, and to be forced to go outside all day in the hot sun is pure torture. I'm not saying all Publix stores are like this, but most of them are. Some stores have nice managers, and some don't. Every manager is different, and every coworker is different. You will likely run into some people who just don't like you, and those who will try and make trouble for you. I know, because I have been there many times. My advice to you--look for some advice from others about where you might work. I wish you the best--I really do, But stay away from Publix ! Especially if you don't like people stepping all over your feelings. Publix is a top-rated company for a reason. Good luck.

Im 14 and want a job!?! who will hire me?

I live in austintown ohio, and my mom says i have to work close. i wan a job to help support my family and so i can buy my self a car and pay for my cell phone. i really want to do this. does anyone kno where i can work or who i can go to to find that out or any information on this subject at all will you please anwser this ad thing.

I have the chance to apply for a job I really want, but I'm scared of doing it; why?

Because you get some special juice out of being fearful and inactive. This is because some invisible script you have about yourself is running the show instead of your commitment to having a great life. The first thing to get is that nothing has robbed you of anything in life other than what you say to yourself. What does it matter if you don't deserve it, you're not qualified to do the work, or you feel like you are in over your head. You get that the worst thing that can happen is that they say no and laugh in your face.  I think you could survive it.  If you take it on as a game, and look to what you could learn just from applying, you could use every one of these experiences in your life as an opportunity to learn and grow.  It's what winners do.If you don't apply, you've already determined that the answer is no.  If you apply, there's actually a chance that it might be yes.Just give yourself some incentive to apply.  Here's one method I like.  Pick a charity or political candidate you hate.  Now set an amount of money that it would really hurt for you to lose.  Give it to someone you can trust, and tell them that if you don't apply by X date, they should give it to the charity. Also do the Landmark Forum . It's designed to get you to take action despite all the conversations in your head that usually run you.David R. Herz

I just want to make music and never want to work a "real job". How can this be done?

You should find a flexible source of income that can support you while you build your music career. IE...if your city has Uber or Lyft, become a driver. Or you can babysit, mow lawns...etc. Look on Craigslist for short term jobs. Play as much as possible and build your fan base. Use social media and interact with your fans. Don't just re-tweet, but reply back. Engage your fans....it will go a LONG way. Ask yourself, what makes you different than other artists? What do you have to offer your listeners that they wouldn't find elsewhere?  All of this is going to help you build your personal brand. IMO, the brand is more important than the actual music itself.  You still need to play great music, but people will remember you, if you connect with them.

I am 16 and really want a job, but have no prior experience nor am I active in school. I feel pretty hopeless. What should I do?

Hi,I don't predict that you might be facing issue, but what I can suggest you is Educate yourself as much as possible and as far as possible by your present status. Don't lose hopes. If you failed then no problem take it as challenge and work on it. If you are not interested in schools then think as you have no other options than schooling and give a best shot in your studies. If I want to consider as you might be facing some issues then take any part time jobs which may pay you less initially but enhances your basic skills towards work. Work as if you already have knowledge of it. Work as you are humbling to learn the jobs. But my friend, you must work with your schooling. I never want you to leave school now and work. I never want you to skip the learning, where you get infinite things to learn and experience the world on your studies. So work hard in both the terms, studying and working. Take yourself as Usain Bolt and start practicing reaching 100mtr in 9 seconds. Start thinking how to accept the challenge and face it.At the age of 16, if a guy is evaluating himsleft and wanting to make change in him then he can't be hopeless, he only can be the inspiration to others who are in 16 and just thinking to study well and score good.So accept your mistakes and utilize your full time and become the change.ALL THE BEST

How do I tell a company I really want the job they offered me, but that I think they should seriously correct, or fire, one of the seven people who interviewed me?

You could express your gratitude to the either the company representative and/or one or more of the other six interviewers and let them know your concern.Remember to stay polite and indirect. All you have to do is explain to them exactly the unacceptable things from the one interviewer who you find at fault and possible ways it can affect your career or possible ways that it reflects bad on their company and culture alongwith possible ways to correct this. Remember not to accuse that person.
