I Recently Received A Family Member

A family member recently got sick and I REALLY don't want to catch it but I still want to help them, what steps can I take to make sure they're okay and that I also don't get sick?

Phone your ill family member and talk to him or her; ask how they’re feeling and if they need anything. Let them know that you will be happy to bring over the item(s). Before you go into your ill family member’s home, put on latex gloves and a disposable mask over your nose and mouth to help protect you from the virus. Then when you leave, peel off the gloves, dispose of them and wash your hands with soap and water or clean them with gel. Reducing the chance that you have touched or breathed in the virus will help keep you from catching the cold.

Would you loan your car to a family member who recently wrecked their car. Please read the details?

Never, ever, ever, ever, let someone who is not covered by your insurance policy drive your car - ever.

I did once and now I am being sued after some insurance scammer deliberately rammed the car and is claiming all kinds of bodily injuries.

Also, get a dash cam. Get one with front AND rear cameras. There are too many lying, dishonest and careless drivers on the roads these days. CAMERAS DO NOT LIE!

Recently a family member got into a bad motorcycle accident. He is really active (almost 70) but is now stuck in bed recovering for a long time. What is the most kind thing I could do to cheer him up? He gets exhausted if anyone visits him.

Dear Amy Zapa,I have a couple of ideas for you, from two years ago when a good friend, out-of-state, was bedridden.Recently a family member got into a bad motorcycle accident. He is really active (almost 70) but is now stuck in bed recovering for a long time. What is the most kind thing I could do to cheer him up? He gets exhausted if anyone visits him.I mailed her a greeting card every day! Also she loved fantasy and mythology, so I would find online artwork by the fantasy illustrators she loved most, or maybe a short story in the genre she loved, and I would dress them up with red hearts, rainbows, or other stickers I got at the dollar store.Sounds like your family member is male, so perhaps you could print off things from online in his areas of interest, maybe even jokes? A fun little gift in the mail each day gave my friend something to look forward to, and she told her family all this mail made her feel very special.* * *If your family member is close by, consider coming by occasionally with a similar tiny gift, or perhaps something special to eat, along with a great big smile. Don’t stay, just say you wanted to see him for a second. Kiss him or touch him if that is appropriate in your family, and then leave.

If Someone in Your Family Died Recently Do you Celebrate Christmas?

It depends on close to Christmas Day the relative died as to whether or not Christmas is celebrated. Last year, my mother died two weeks before Christmas and my brother and I did not have our normal Christmas celebration even though we're Baptists.

This year, my cousin's husband died just a few days ago on the 11th of December and she's a total wreck.

I doubt that she will celebrate Christmas this year.

Even though the Catholics named this time of year Christmas and decided that the birth of Christ should be celebrated at this time - the Bible says that his birth was earlier -probably September or first week of October- after all shepherds were in their fields, Jesus is the reason given for this time of year and we should remember that.

As a Baptist, I have always celebrated Christmas and my cousin has always celebrated the birth of Christ as well - so I know it's going to be a sad occasion instead of the joyous one we have always known but God knows our reasons and gives us more support because it's harder to lose someone at this time of year than at any other time.

What are the benefits the TCS employee's family receives after his/her death?

Post death benefits to your family are 6 times of your package or 1crore which ever is lower. This is because each TCS employee is enrolled with a life insurance policy and the premium is mentioned in your CTC.

I recently lost a family member. What's an appropriate response when someone says, "I'm sorry for your loss"? Do I tell them, "Thank you" for their kind words, or do I say, "It was unfortunate," or something along those lines?

Thank you for your concern.

What does it mean when family members have the same dream?

Like a month or two ago my mom had a dream that something was lifting her in the air but as she tried to yell or make noise nothing came out. About two weeks after this my younger brother had the same dream as he was in the situation as where he seemed to be in trouble but as he tried to yell nothing came out. i would tease them as i was thinking it was all bullshit because i didnt think they could have the same dream. But just last night i encountered the same problem. The dream was that i was with a girl and we were laying on a couch and we heard a noise. I didnt think anything of it but she went to check and i stayed on the couch. As i stayed laying there suddenly something started lifitng me in the air and as i tried to yell for help no noise was comin out of my mouth.....Any ideas on why this may be occuring? (These dreams did not occur in the same home)
