I Regret Trying Out For Basketball Plz Help

High School basketball tryouts?

Okay so I'm an incoming freshman and I really want to make the basketball team. My high school offers a summer clinic, it's 4 days a week for 2 hours. I' ve gone for a week and so far i hate it, because there's hardly any freshman who come ( they're all juniors and seniors). They're all really good compared to me and I always screw up the drills. I would quit and go to another clinic with people my age, but if you go to the high school clinic your pretty much guaranteed a spot on the team. what should I do???
plz help
thnx

Should i play basketball for my senior year?

that height....yes you should (assuming you make the team). I mean why shouldn't you. Regardless of you're skill, you still have that sense of superiority amongst your teammates just because you're a senior and thus older than most of them, and that edge makes ANYBODY'S time/commitment on a team hella fun, no matter the sport. Be spectacular and be the role model, or be the team clown, or be the ******** of the team; be whatever dude, just tell yourself in the end I'm here to have fun.

Im scared to join the basketball team?

you should join and be the funny guy on the team
you wont be humiliated, just make funny remarks every here and there and you will earn respect, and if your not really good, just poke a little fun at yourself like , "2400 till i tie ray allen n stuff"
you will gain confidence with yourself and you will be the popular guy on the team
when you play other teams, your teammates will look for you and with all that newfound confidence you can show off your real potential
give it a shot, thats what i did, i thought it was gonna be a run and gun and no fun, and i decided to join and be the funny guy
it helped, and i was alright, not stellar, but alright

I didn't make the Freshman basketball team?

There were about 30 kids who tried out. They only took 12. I was the only one who hustled up and down the court. The only kid who actually passed the ball and didn't rush it to the rim. I made most of my shots from decent range. I was not the tallest but made a good guard. Im 5'8 and was the only white kid there. I gave it my best, I was one my middle school team. Im passing all my classes so thats not why. All the kids there didn;t even give it there best. I just dont no why. All my friends know Im good at basketball and now what do I tell them. High school so far sucks.

Is It too late to tryout for high school basketball?

Its not too late, just try... you have nothing to lose

How can i dominate jv basketball?? (i need good answers please)?

Don't listen to Basketball star muthafaufaskfggkas

So, first you got to look at how many more months till tryouts are started. Secondly, as good as ANYbody is, ALL COACHES LOOK FOR DEFENSE!!!!! I don't know how much I stretch this to players like you who want to dominate games. You can't make the team if you can't play defense.

Also you are pretty tall, you should be able to back down your man in the post, and you should know how to create your own shot and create shots for other guys. Try to play like a LeBron James, an unselfish player. Try to get 15 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. Good luck.

one day people would look up to me & idolized PLEASE HELP is there any event or program for players who still want to achieve their basketball dreams
despite not having a chance to play in college?

How close have you come to doing something you would regret for the rest of your life?

I was around pre-teens, maybe 10–12 years old.I had gotten into an argument or some stupid thing with my parents.I was in my room crying and mad.I tied a rope to something sturdy, placed it around my neck and resisted against it. The rope was not tied well on either end and nothing happened nor was it large enough to do what I intended it to do.I have no idea what I thought I was trying to do, but it seemed (at the time) like what I should do.There have been times in my life where things have been much worse than that and the thought again crosses my mind, but I let it pass.Suicide may be an answer, but it is never the correct one.I have had friends take their own life and it just leaves questions and speculation. Please, if you feel these things taking hold, find someone to talk to. They are out there. Please do not take action until you have tried to find someone to help.Life is so incredibly beautiful, please do not give it away so easily.

Do you regret not studying hard in school/college?

I am at the age of 30, well 31 in less than a month. I went to public schools in a Third World country. Education was basic and in high schools, persons from 1st World countries would just Grinch at the sight of the classrooms and the curriculum. And the teachers who are underpaid and are in a room with students 42–1 are placed under a lot of stress. So they would often say to misbehaved students, “I already have gained an education and have a career, so you can idle your days away because you will be sorry ” Somehow this phrase resonates with me and I will often look on the teacher while they are saying this infamous quote and I see sorrows, regrets and longing in their eyes. When I say sorrows, it is a deep under the surface sorrow. And I kept wondering but if they are employed as a Government worker and still longing, still regretting there must be more to life than just what my little “village” know. So I took their warning and I studied hard. I went to University and I took my 1st job at CVM Television as a Human Resources Associate, I stayed there for a year and then I moved on to Cash Plus as a Satellite Officer for twice the salary. I started 2 companies, one failed and 2 barely pay the bills but I have a career on the side as well. I work as hard as much as my peers and I try to learn more than I know yesterday. Because I never want to be in my 40s and 50s with that startling sorrow in my eyes. So to answer your question, everyone believe that they should have study harder but not because you left school doesn't mean you have to stop learning and improving your life.
