I Saw These Shoes Online And They Only Have It In A 71/2 But I Wear An 8 Could The Shoes Still Fit

When buying shoes online, should I go a half size up or down if they don't have a size 10.5 available?

Question answered: When buying shoes online, should I go a half size up or down if they don't have a size 10.5 available? You should never — ever — go down a size in shoes if the shoe style you like doesn’t fit or isn’t available. You’d be signing up for potentially years of walking in uncomfortable shoes. And you can’t stretch shoes to make them longer. It’s hard enough to stretch shoes to make them a tiny bit wider.NO. Don’t do what you’re proposing. Size 10.5 shoes are widely available. Why mess up your back, your thighs, your knees, and live with constant shoe pain when you can simply find the size you need at another store? And if the particular shoe you have in mind isn’t made in a size 10.5, then find another style of shoe that is.Why invest your hard earned money into a pair of shoes that literally has to take you everywhere you go, but doesn’t actually fit. That doesn’t make any sense to me. If size 10.5 wasn’t an actual shoe size, that would be one thing. But this size not only exists, but it’s a normal size in many brands.

Could I fit into a size 6 shoe if I'm size 5.5?

I can tell you as someone who has sold shoes at retail for over 20 years that more than 4 out of 5 women wear their shoes too small & don’t even know it or refuse to acknowledge it. The average woman that came in to our store to buy a 5.5 shoe would leave with a 6.5 or 7 after being fit properly. Bad fit: Most of us wear shoes that are too smallAdd to this the fact that women’s shoes are on average almost two sizes narrower than the average woman’s foot and you can see where I am going with this. Reference: Why Shoes Make "Normal" Gait ImpossibleAthletic shoes are built to fit with about 2/3″ to 3/4″ between your longest toe and the end of the shoes. Casual shoes should be fit almost that big.The reality is that by the numbers, not only can you likely fit in to a 6, your feet will likely be much better off in the 6 and you may actually need a 6.5. Of course, you will have to take a few days for your feet to get used to feeling like they are loose and not being squeezed by the shoe. Once you get it though, it’s hard to go back.

Is it better to wear shoes of a bigger size or your actual size?

Neither. Buy the pair that immediately feels good when you put them on and walk around in the store in them for a bit. There should be enough room to wiggle your toes but should not pinch the sides of your feet or slide up and down on your heels. You should never buy shoes you haven’t tried on. Sizes can differ considerably between brands and type. If you’re a woman, you might wear a size 7 in a sneaker but need an 8 in a pair of pumps. The same is true for men. There can be a big difference between sportswear and dress shoes.Don’t settle for a medium width if you know you have a wide foot. Some stores will try to sell you a bigger size instead. That is flat-out wrong! Either the clerk doesn’t know any better or they don’t carry wider sizes. Always get the proper width. There ARE stores that sell them. If you don’t, your shoes won’t fit right and your feet might end up hurting. It’s a myth that shoes need to be broken in. If they don’t fit right in the store, they probably never will. The only shoes that are “broken in” are those that are getting ready to fall apart. It means the structural support is shot.Wear the kind of socks or stockings that you plan to wear with the shoes you’re going to buy. In other words, don’t wear pantyhose if you’re shopping for tennis shoes unless you plan to wear them without socks or with pantyhose.

I am on the Coach website and it says size 7.5B. What does that mean?

7.5B means the shoes is a size 7 1/2, B stands for the width. B or M next to the size stands for the medium width which majority of shoes are made including tennis shoes, dress shoes, sandals, etc. If you normally wear 7 1/2 shoes and they are not too tight, the Coach shoes should fit the same way. Try it on at the stores first if you are not sure.

What shoe size should I buy when they don't have my size 6.5, size 6 or 7?

Some shoes run big and some run small. A small 7 could possibly fit someone who’s normal shoe size is a 6.5. European shoes and shoes for the Asian market fit completely different. If you want to get technical, shoes are made from lasts. A last is a mold. Some companies create lasts (or molds) that are wide or narrow. For example, most Stuart Weitzman shoes are made a tad on the narrow side. I can’t wear them. If I’m in a shoe store, see a pair of shoes that I start swooning over, walk over to them and find that they’re a Weitzman, I don’t even bother trying them on. Some company’s lasts fit my feet perfectly. Sadly, my feet seem to adore Prada shoes. The last they use makes my feet sing. Well, if my feet started singing on their own, I would make a lot of money…but you know what I mean.Your best bet is to try the shoe on. If it fits comfortably, you can walk in them, and do walk around for a bit in the store to see how they really feel, then buy them.If a shoe is a little big, that can often be remedied by buying an gel or foam inner sole. I have found they can make a big difference. Caveat: Every foot is different. What may work for me, may not work for you.Try the shoes you like on. Walk around in them for a bit. Not like 30 seconds, more like as long as the salesperson will let you. If after walking around the store they still feel awesome, buy them.If you’re unsure if they’re comfortable or not, if you have any doubts at all. Let them stay in the store.Nothing is more heartbreaking than buying a pair of shoes that don’t fit and you can’t return them.

Toms Shoe Outlet store?

Okay, so a little less than a week ago I ordered two pairs of toms off of an outlet website that sells them for half off. It seemed very much official and nothing at all like a scam. It asked for all the information (address, credit card info, etc) like any other website that you'd buy things off of. But about 10 minutes ago I read on the Internet that someone said ALL of the "outlet" websites are scams. They either take your money and never send you the toms, or they send you god awful knock offs. Someone please help I need to know whether I'm going to get these shoes or not! Thanks in advance to any useful information :)
