I Seem To Have A Guitar Addiction

I need help with my shopping addiction!?

My sister seems to have this same problem, and let me tell you kids, bills and a husband have not straightened her out. I think your boyfriend was right about the card. It's too easy to spend money. If I were you, I would cash your paycheck and split it into four envelopes for the month. You can even deduct what you would like to save, and deposit it in the bank. Now you just have to try to force yourself to only spend one envelope's worth of money a week, and scrounge up enough pride not to borrow money from your mom. If you blow your week's money on clothes at the beginning, then you'll just have to live poor for the rest of the week. Eventually you'll learn to moderate your spending because you'll still need fast food :) and gas :).

Never buy anything with the card. You will feel the hurt a lot more if you are forking over cold hard cash. I would totally ditch the card if you can, since you obviously have a habit of spending with it. Even people who are good with money can lose track of the nickles and dimes with a card and spend more than they meant to.

My parents think I have a problem with guitar?.. (Addiction)?

Ok so I'm 16 and just today I spent 14 hours playing guitar,, with little breaks just to eat etc .. I have been of all week with a chest infection and on average I've spent a minimum of 6 hours a day playing guitar .. I usually spend as much time as possible practicing riffs and scales etc..
My mother things I have a problem .. She said that's 'unnatural' .. My dad who plays guitar himself said 'take a break from that guitar it glued to you'.. I want to be the best .. I want to make a living of f playing guitar and singing ,. It's the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of before I go to sleep ..
Is there a problem with this?..

Car addiction??? It is driving me crazy! What can I do? I NEED HELP!?

So, I am 19 years old, and I have always liked cars. Cars are the only material thing I cannot stop liking - for real!!! (And I don't fu***ng know why!!!) - even though I do enjoy other things like playing guitar, learning other languages, working in aviation (I work at my city airport), etc. I will always come back to the cars. But where I live cars are expensive - sports cars are pretty impossible to afford - and my family is a working class one. I have been working since I am 16 years old, and all the money I have saved (And I save a lot of it) is not enough to afford a set of good tires for my mom's car. My heart beats really fast and I won't fall asleep every time I think I will never have a good car or a good motorcycle to ride on a weekend - what makes me say and do things I shouldn't to my family. I have good ideas like starting my own business to afford my passion, but my money wouldn't be enough for the very first taxes. I have thought about stock exchange business, patenting some stuff I have been thinking about or even moving to another country, but again, money to start everything seems to be my biggest problem (loaning a bank would be suicide because of the taxes). How can I get rid of this CRAZY car passion??? it is driving me INSANE AND SICK!!! Even If I play my cards right, things won't get better to afford a car even after I get my academic degree! Sometimes I think this car ADDICTION is some kind of ALIENATION or even a KARMA. What can I do??? I am making my life and my family sad because of that.

No trols, please.

How bad is cocaine addiction? How bad can it get?

at first the drug is very affective, then your system gets used to it, and you have to use more and more to get the same effect.
I was a user for about 6months, and decided to just stop, been clean for 1year now.

I did use with moderation, but it was still leaving a hole in my wallet.
The biggest reason I stopped, was that I saw what it did to a friend of mine, he's a brilliant artist, and had great plans to open his own gallery, him and his girl.
between the two of them they snorted away everything, and thus, no money for gallery.

I have to say I have seen ppl use it with moderation and it not affecting them as badly as this one mate of mine, so it is possible, but why play with fire?

and honestly, think of the high you get, yeah its good, but isnt it actually the act that gives you the rush, that actual second or two of taking the line, expecially with mates, thats where the fun is, not the actual high.

you cant sleep, you get agitated, and the next day you feel like ****.

and the other thing, you dont know what you're getting, does anyone really know what quality the coke they get is? well, unless if you're a mainline dealer, sure, but if ur a regular user, that collects it from some dealer or runner, you wont know what **** your putting up your nose, it gets cut with all kinds of crap, teething powder, headache tablets, the list is really really long.

one last interesting thing, how many of the dealers or runners you get your stuff from actually does it as well?

I'd bet not even 10% of them, cos to them its money making, and if u get into this thing, you'll spend ur last penny on it.

So depending on your strong will, it is possible to try it, if you're one of those ppl that has to try something just once, catch is with coke, 99% of the time it doesn't stop at once.

What is the point of owning multiple guitars?

Well, different guitars can produce different sounds. My Epiphone Les Paul sounds quite different from this awesome Fender Strat my music teacher has.

Maybe they use a cheaper guitar to practice, and a really nice one to perform with. Also some guitars are just better for certain types of music. You probably wouldnt want to play a country song on a Flying V guitar, it would just seem out of place. Sometimes people just get new guitars, and wish to keep their old ones to hold on to the memories.

Personally, I only own one electric and one acoustic guitar, but it can be understandable to have multiple guitars.
