I Slept Funny And Now My Back Hurts

Slept on my arm and now it hurts to move?

I think I slept on my arm and it's killing to move now, the joint is very painful and I can't stretch out my arm fully without searing pain. Any ideas what's happened or how i can fix it?

I slept funny last night and it hurts to move my left arm?

It sounds like a pinched nerve. This happens to me all of the time when i am sleeping. I haven't really found a way to get rid of it, except for time. One thing that helps is to move your hurt arm slowly in huge circles, to circulate the nerve. It will hurt quite a bit, but if you do it for a few days it will help a lot.

Here is a professional analysis on the condition:

Hope this helps and hope you feel better =)

Why does my back hurt when I sleep on my back?

I couldn't really sleep last night, and went to sleep around 1AM. When I woke up at 6:30AM my back started to hurt, and also my stomach.

I couldn't find how my back and stomach, maybe it was because I was sleeping on my back? Usually I sleep on my side, and I haven't done any heavy lifting either.

>:( my lower back hurts >:( ! !?

I bet its a kidney problem. I had that about a week ago, hurt sooo bad. do you have these syntoms.

1. Frequently having to go to the bathroom
2. When you go to the bathroom and you're all done, does it feel like you have to go more, but you dont?
3. Lower back problems
4. hurting when you go pee.

if you had these syntoms, dont wait, go to the doctor right away! I waited because i thought that it was just like i twisted somthing in my back or slept funny and i suffered.

I slipped and fell down and now my lower back hurts. What do I do now?

It depends on where exactly you are feeling the pain as to how to treat it.Firstly you should go to a professional physiotherapist or doctor to get a scan to properly diagnose what it is.I am not a physiotherapist and can’t give advice but can tell you how I have fixed my own lower back issues through physiotherapy and a lot self treatment. Also, is the pain radiating down one of your legs? Or up into your lower back area?If it is down one of the legs, it is possible you have some compression in one of the the lower lumbar discs. To help alleviate this, you can decompress it by putting your lower back in traction - easiest way I could do this was to let my legs hang while in a dip station (see pic):It’s the best pic I could find. You don’t need to raise the legs or work your abs, just breathe, relax and let them hang for 20–30 seconds at a time. This will take a lot of pressure off the spine. You can also lay on the ground and have a friend lift and pull your legs or think of your own variation. If the pain is radiating upwards, it is likely an issue with your gluteus minimus or gluteus medius. To help this, you need to stretch and massage it to release it. See pics:If you google or type ‘glute stretch and massage’ into youtube you will find a wealth of info on how to do it and will explain better than I could :)That is just a start. You still should go to have it professionally diagnosed but these exercises will help alleviate the pain.I hope this helps.

just don't strain yourself trying to look to the left or anything.
Maybe putting heat on it will loosen your muscles.

What causes an ear to hurt after sleeping on it?

What causes an ear to hurt after sleeping on it?I have had the same issue of my ear hurting after I wake up from my sleep. Today I will discuss:Why it happensHow it can be solvedTo be honest, you may/may not be surprised with many of the things I will say today. Why does ear pain happen after waking up from sleep? If you have a look at the below image (Fig. 1), you can see an anatomical diagram of an ear.Fig. 1; Anatomy of the ear. [Image credits: WiseGeek]The above image might look quite complicated to some people, but the main thing I want to focus on today is solely one part of the ear. This part is located in the “outer ear” section and is called the Cartilage. The cartilage is the muscle that is responsible for the shape of your ear. For the more scientific people out there below is a small excerpt from Health Line regarding the Cartilage:“The cartilage is flexible, connective tissue, sometimes referred to as gristle. This type of cartilage is known as elastic cartilage. It contains no nerve cells or blood vessels, and is semi-opaque (somewhat see-through).” [1]If the ear did not have cartilage, it would be all floppy and jiggly…not a pretty sight.Generally, when you sleep on your sides, you are compressing your ear against the pillow or bed in which you sleep. When you sleep like this, your cartilage in your ear gets compressed. This will cause a lot of pain. However, theoretically, this will not affect your hearing. [2]How do I stop my ears from hurting after I wake up?There can be two solutions:Using Sean Dean’s idea of trying a softer pillow could help greatly. Subsequently, build on this idea, you could also try a softer bed.Trying to consciously change your sleep position, so that you do not end up sleeping on your ears.Thats all the knowledge I could conjure about this topic.Best of luck,Shreyas ParidaFootnotes[1] Auricular Cartilage Anatomy, Function & Diagram | Body Maps[2] "Why does my ear hurt when I wake up in the morning?"

I slept funny and how have a extremely sore neck that has pain from my shoulder up to behind my ear, it has been 4 days, what advice to get rid of this pain?

I did that same thing about two years ago. I woke up at 3 am and my back hurt so bad that couldn’t catch my breath. I slowly got out of bed and pressed my back against the corner of a door frame trying to get some relief.I thought it would be better by noon, but it wasn’t. I could barely sit down and I still had trouble breathing, but I knew it was just because I slept wrong somehow and had pulled a muscle or a nerve in my upper back.I had an appointment for a massage the following day. I explained what had happened to the masseuse. She viewed her muscle chart and had me point out exactly where it hurt. By the end of the massage, the pain was greatly relieved. It was reduced to a level that I could live with… and I did for another month. The following month when I went in she asked about the pain, I pointed out the one little spot that still was slightly uncomfortable and she went to work in that area.I’ve been pain-free ever since. I still get massages once a month with her, but now it’s just to relax. She almost puts me to sleep every time. When I am done it’s like I’m in a blissful fog for about five minutes or so.One more week until my next visit. Find a really good masseuse and give it a try.

Why does my head hurts after sleeping with the heater on?

It's due to lack of OXYGEN. When you sleep while heater is ON in your room, it utilises oxygen present in your room gradually. Due to this there's not much oxygen available if you use it for longer period of time for your body to function properly. That's the reason your head hurts. It's not advisable to sleep while room heater is ON whole night. If it's necessary to use heater then open a window (if there's any) for air circulation otherwise avoide using heater whole night. You can use it for 1–2hrs then switch it off.NOTE:- Using room heater can be dangerous. There are many cases in the past where people lost there life using room heater. They died in there sleep.I hope this little info may help you and please don't use heater while sleeping.Be safe.
