I Stopped Drinking Alcohol Now Drinking More Water Fruit Drinks But Now I

How do I stop feeling sick when I drink alcohol?

Well let’s see. Alcohol has the effect of poison on the body, that people chose to endure for the “happy” side effects. It’s perfectly natural for you to feel sick if you overdo it. You’re saturating your body with something that is bad for it. Your body is telling you that was not a good move. There are a lot of people who get nauseous from alcohol, from too much alcohol, from certain types of alcohol, etc. I can only tolerate a small amount of alcohol, and only on a full stomach; if I drink too fast or on an empty stomach I get so sick it’s all I can do to retreat to a quiet corner and try not to throw up. I know someone else who has the same response, but only to red wine. There’s nothing wrong with us, and nothing to fix. Alcohol is damaging to the human body, and some bodies aren’t as willing to sit back and accept that kind of abuse as others.Learn what your limits are, and make your peace with them. And meanwhile, why don’t you try not getting drunk? Just sayin’

Retaining water after I quit drinking?

Are you sure its water?

You can try upping the amount of coffee you drink as this will help dehydration.

I gave up drinking once....... it was the worst hour of my life. Good luck I hope you achieve your objective.

I can't stop drinking water!!!!?

Because water is filling.

If I stop eating fast food, replace drinks with water, stop drinking (lots of) alcohol, and start exercising, will I get results even though I won't be the healthiest eater ever?

Hi David! If you cut out the fast food, drink water instead of sugary or alcoholic beverages and exercise regularly, you will probably see an improvement in your health, although it doesn’t happen overnight. This is something that I have had challenges with as well. The big thing to remember is that if you are burning more calories than you are eating, you will lose weight. There are people who are for and against calorie counting, but honestly, it’s simple math.As for not being the healthiest eater, I would say that if you cut out the junk & fast food, you’d be in better shape diet wise than many other folks. It will not be easy. If you’re used to working at a desk or are a fairly sedate person, getting the motivation to get up and do it will be one of the hardest things you do. But after several weeks, you’ll get used to a routine. Were I in your shoes, I’d clean out the cupboards and the fridge (and maybe the freezer, too). I’d stop buying processed and frozen meals, as well as the chips and dip. Alcohol would definitely have to go.Just a side note—if you’re having trouble kicking the booze out of your diet (as many do) you might want to consider getting a little assistance. I am not saying that you are an alcoholic, however, if you can’t seem to get the booze factor eliminated, check out the link below. The Sinclair MethodBest of luck—your body will thank you!

Drinking alcohol the night before a fasting blood test?

Fasting means no food of any kind including liquid foods such as fruit juice and also alcoholic drinks that contain carbohydrates and some other nutrients.

You can drink water after midnight or even at 7 am or 8 am or even later before the test.

As long as you stop consuming alcohol before midnight you should be OK. After 9 hours there should be no alcohol left in your system unless you had more than say half a dozen standard drinks. If you stop drinking at midnight your body can still continue to absorb alcohol for up to 3 hours until 3 am and after that alcohol is dissipated at the rate of one standard drink per hour so if you have more than 6 standard drinks up to midnight there might still be a bit left in your system at 9 am so you must not have more than 6 standard drinks up to midnight.

I am totally a coke-holic and i HAVE to stop drinking it!!:S HELP?

Watch some nutrition documentaries or do some research and you will soon be disgusted how unhealthy soda and energy drinks are for you. I used to eat and drink unhealthy back in high school then my first semester at college I took a class on nutrition and it changed the foods i eat dramatically. Haven't eaten fast food for 2 years and stopped drinking soda as well and honestly i just feel better now.
Once you realize how much better of you are without all that junk you won't go back, but that hard part is getting to that point. If you are looking for something else to drink just try water nothing wrong with that, or maybe some sort of natural beverages (no artificial ingredients).

Can drinking more water actually make you more thirsty?

u need water to live......

When i drink alcohol i get cramps in my stomach?

If you are drinking a lot of coolers, beer, or mixed drinks (with grenadine and fruit juices and things like that in them) the sugar can make your stomach hurt. Happens to me too. Beer just makes me bloated and feel sick.. I think because of all of the carbonation.

Think about how much sugar is in coolers and juice: you would NEVER eat that much sugar on a regular basis, right? Coolers may actually cause 'gut rot' if you don't have much in your stomach because of all the sugar. So, I really suggest not drinking more then 1 cooler in a night.. they also give me a sugar hangover if I drink more then 2 (SO much sugar in your system you just feel like CRAP the next day.)

Make sure you are eating before you drink. Don't eat fatty foods, because the grease mixes with the alcohol weirdly.

Also, alcohol IS a poison. That's why you throw it up if you drink too much of it, just like if you were to go drink some of your toilet cleaner.... you would throw up.

Make sure you aren't mixing drinks: like having vodka, beer, then some rum. Stick to ONE type... also, watch how you feel and experiment. Some people handle white liquors better (vodka, etc.), and some handle dark liquors better (like rum.) Often if they can't handle a certain type, that's when they get 'the spins' and throw up, or have a hangover.

Hope I helped! :]

Is it ok for an alcoholic to drink non alcoholic beer?

Ok, I’m going to give an alternative answer to the others. Disclaimer - I sell alcohol-free drinks but to clarify, I started my business 11 years ago after I had already stopped drinking because of alcoholism. This is a question we get asked fairly often, even though most of our customers drink alcohol some of the time too and aren’t alcoholics. We always tell them it is purely a personal choice and never actively encourage anyone for - some of - the reasons stated above. We tell them only to do it if they are fully confident in their sobriety (at least, as much as anyone can be).But speaking personally, I drink alcohol-free beer nearly every day. It’s my drink of choice. Why? Because I like the taste and it’s refreshing. I don’t want to drink water, or cola, or orange juice. Especially orange juice. One, maybe. Two, or more? No thanks.I’m aware some people will have the view I am a ‘dry drunk’. Fine. Think what you want. The fact is I don’t get drunk. I don’t do the things I did when i was drinking. Now I just make the same mistakes as ‘normal’ people.I don’t have any craving for alcohol at all.The comments about soft drinks not having alcohol in them isn’t accurate. Many soft drinks have small amounts of alcohol added to them. It helps the flavour and mouthfeel. But because they are soft-drinks (and the alcohol is under 0.5%) legally they do not have to put it on the label. But a drink that is de-alcoholised to 0.5% has to state it.It’s quite possible you are drinking as much alcohol in a soft-drink as you are in a non-alcoholic beer. And I presume the people who avoid it for the alcohol content (not the mental association - that’s a different argument) also avoid bread - that nasty stuff often has up to 0.5% ABV too…
