I Think A Really Old Guy Just Thinks He Got A Date With Me. Not The Case. Help How Do I Politely

How to politely let someone know you're not interested?

It's difficult to address an issue that someone hasn't even brought forth yet--meaning I can't come out and say, "Hey, I just want to be friends," when the person hasn't been so blatant about their intentions. However, it's clear they want something more because they're: constantly trying to engage me in conversation, asking for my number, sitting with me, etc. I attempt to show my lack of interest in as polite a manner as possible but I don't think it's quite as clear as I've been hoping. I don't have a problem being blunt but I'd rather not do that and hurt their feelings.

Conversely, how do you make your interest in someone clear without coming out and saying so? Thanks in advance.

How to tell your mother you're NOT having sex?

Unfortunately there really isn't a way to convince her otherwise. Just don't bring your sex life up to her (unless you have a question of course). If she brings it up to you, you can always just politely say "Mom, I promise that I have not had sex. I don't know what else to tell you." When you get older you could try again. I've had to do that for a different situation. Just say, "Mom, remember back when I was dating *insert name here* I really wasn't having sex with him. It kind of upset me that you didn't believe me so I just wanted to get it out there now."
Nice job on not falling to pressure after a year!

He won't date me because I'm not a virgin.?

*I apologize for the long story."

Okay so there's this guy I like named Abate (I'm 18 and he's 17 if that helps). He's smart, polite, very handsome, a gentleman and has an awesome body. We've been friends for a while and I was pretty sure that he liked me but he didn't ask me out yet. I thought that he was just taking things slow, but apparently that wasn't the case.

Yesterday after school I asked him if he would give me a ride home, I didn't really need one but I needed an excuse to get us alone. While we were in the car I was being extra flirty and dropping hints but he didn't pick up on any of them. After a while I asked him why he hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet, and after a long pause he told me: "It's not that I don't like you, I really do but, I can't date a girl who's not a virgin." I paused for a second and asked him if he was serious, and he was. I told him that stuff like that really didn't matter and then he said: "Look, sooner or later you're gonna want to have sex, and since I don't want to, it's only a matter of time before you cheat on me to satisfy your needs. And I just don't want to go through that. I'm not trying to sound mean or insult you, but I just don't want to take that chance." I felt insulted and he tried to apologize but I was just too mad. We stayed pretty quiet until we got to my house, then I got out of the car and the he went home. After that I went in my room and just started to cry.

I just don't get it, he said that he likes me, but I have a hard time accepting this. I knew that he decided to stay abstinent until marriage and he knows I'm not a virgin, but I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I thought we were hitting it off well but now I don't know what to think. But I'm really surprised that he thinks women would cheat on him because he decided to not have sex. I'm just so confused right now and I could really use some advice. I really like this guy, but I'm not sure if I can change his mind. If anybody has any advice for me I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.
