However, if you talk about phobia the term that I can associate with is Herpetophobia- which is the common term used for being scared of reptiles- Lizards, snakes, and creepy crawlies. However, I am just scared of lizards more than anything else in the world. On second thought, I also had the Erythrophobia- Fear of Blushing. Though I came to know about it long after I got over it. I always used to get really uneasy meeting someone who had a crush on me or liked me. However, I overcame after getting into a stable relationship.Having said that, most of the ladies aren’t even aware that they suffer from any phobia. there might be times that you come to know that you suffered from any such thing after you have already overcome it.Here is an article that will help you understand such common phobias that ladies have and they aren’t even aware of it. Do you think I have these phobias?

I would like to say to people that this is really happening in my life I'm not joking or making up a problem just for attention. I think I have these phobias and I just want to make sure is all.

Alourophobia - Fear of reading aloud

Atychiphobia - Fear of failure

Gelotophobia - Fear of being laughed at

I think I started having these phobias ever since I was in elementary school. When I was in kindergarten I was loud care free and I had a lot of friends, but because of that I would always get scolded by the the teacher. Like one time when the teacher scolded me (and that one time I'll never forget) the class started laughing at me and I got embarrassed. After that I grew kinda quiet and shy, my circle of friends decreased. I have no dad so I only live with my mom, she would never give me attention or anything and because of that I don't trust her like I should. I don't tell her my problems I have at school or anything. I'm not gonna tell you what grade I'm in right now but in school I hate all my classmates. I'm don't turn in my homework cause I'm afraid I'll get the answers wrong and fail. I don't like to read aloud cause it makes me nervous, and I don't like sharing in front of the class cause I think they might laugh at me. I didn't have a nice childhood like you and now I'm afraid of talking to my own family cause they always yell at me or hit me with a belt (my uncle does that).

Today I was suppose to go to school but I didn't cause my group had a project due today and we were gonna share in font of the whole class. Of course I hated that. Now it feels like I'm afraid of people, I'm afraid of what they think of me all because of some stupid bad childhood and school. So do you think I have these phobias? I just want to make sure. Can't add anymore details i think it's to long now. Now people out there are gonna say I'm stupid for asking this or anything like that I just want help okay? If you have nothing nice to say don't say it. I hate all you stereotypes

What is the phobia of having own general desires/wishes called?

Eleutherophobia- Fear of freedom'People living in fear with the notion of freedom is called having Eleutherophobia. This fear could have had its roots even in the bible when during the time of Moses, the people grumbled when they experienced difficulty in the dessert and wished for slavery back in the hands of Egyptians rather than being free. This could be due to the fact that these people might have only known the life of being a slave and did not know how to act when they had to do things on their own. These people are more likely to be followers than leaders, and could not do anything without anybody telling them what to do. These are individuals who think that having freedom means having more responsibilities and they are scared of it.Symptoms of Eleutherophobia include suspicion of others, a sense of servitude, nausea at the thought of freedom, social anxiety, tremors, difficulty of breathing and weeping. To overcome this fear usually requires information. A person should understand what freedom means and how it can provide personal and corporate liberty. A therapist can help manage the fear by explaining the prospects of freedom, and usually, your response has a lot to do on how you view these prospects. Changing the logic response and the fear response may follow.'Eleutherophobia- Fear of freedom

Is there such thing as a phobia for a certain song (music)?

Out of curiosity, is there a phobia for a certain song? I know fear of music is called Melophobia (but that's for music in general) but I'm talking specifically about one song. Is there a phobia for that?

Does everyone have a phobia?

I was just wondering if everyone has one, or just some people. I don't mean fears, everyone has fears. I'm talking about phobias - irrational fears of certain objects, situations, activities or people.

Like for example I don't believe being afraid of a spider or heights are really phobias in most cases. People generally fear things they think can hurt them. Be when you have a phobia of something, you're scared to death of it even if you know it can't hurt you.

So does everyone naturally have one, or do some people just form them in early developmental stages?
