Im 15 years old and i think i have a brina tumor. I know the symptoms and i have most of them. I feel dizzy, i feel like throwing up sometimes, my vision has gotten worse, i have this spot in my head that always hurts, and my neck has also gotten a little stiffer, sometimes my head twitches and i have never had problems with twitching. Its embarrassing at school when im doing my work and all of a sudden a have little titches. I have tried telling my mom to take me to the doctor because im really really scared. I really really don't want to die, im only 15. My mom told me not to worry that i don't have anything but i don't know. Can you tell me anything else about knowing if you have brian tumors?

I think I have a brain tumor........?

I am really worried. I did some research on the symptoms of brain tumors and I have everyone. My pupils dialate, even in bright lights. I have been getting bad headaches on the left side of my head, followed by tingling and alot of pressure. My arms and legs constantly tingle and go numb. Sometimes, like when i'm playing video games, I can't push a button that I want to. It's like my brain didnt send the message to my hands, eventhough thats what I wanted to do. I am starting to get the worst memory. I can't remember anyone's name, sometimes in conversation I'll forget what I want to say. Alot of times, when I'm laying in bed, I'll think of something really vividly, like a mini story or dream, and I'll snap out of it and not be able to remember anything at all. It happens all the time, and I'm completely awake. Sometimes my vision will go blurry. Sometimes I'll be just walking and get off balence like someone lightly pushed me. 24 yr old Male, I'm in the best shapeofmylife?

What is it like to have a brain tumor?

I was diagnosed in 2012 with cerebellar astrocytoma, a benign tumor. When I was younger, any headaches I had occasionally were overlooked by the adults in my life… One of my grandmothers assured me that only adults experience headaches and it was never an issue for mere children. Now she knows the cause for the headaches I got more frequently over the years. In my last week of school that year, paying attention in school became increasingly hard as severe headaches (speaking relatively to what I had felt prior) now happened every lesson. I then took medical leave (medicine administered for initial diagnosis of a migraine, helped but headaches returned after I stopped medication.)The need for medical help was greater as the tumor began to exert more force on surrounding brain tissue and there was a risk of irreversible damage. I can’t remember much of this in detail as I would often drift in and out of sleep until we met a Neurosurgeon to diagnose my condition. The location of my tumor (cerebellum) made me giddy and so I spent lots of time laying down or walking significantly slower while holding onto a nearby table or something.I had a surgery done after a risk assessment of each of my choices were done. (gamma knife was one of them) Woke up in ICU where I was given painkillers, I had just gone through a brain surgery after all. After being moved to a normal ward, I had to “re-learn” walking since my cerebellum (in control of balance) was the site of the tumor… Really bizarre because of how much harder balance was for me and the physiotherapist gave me some exercises to improve beyond walking. Now I think I am okay.Since the benign pilocytic astrocytoma I had was slow-growing, I will continue to be monitored by going for annual (and then eventually biennially) MRIs. This to ensure that a similar tumor or a more aggressive one does not accumulate over the years. Only time can tell now so I have been cleared to be able to lead a normal life. For more details, I’ve delved a bit more into diagnosis and my surgery in two other answers I’ve written:Has anyone ever had a brain tumor removed with no complications at all?How is a cerebellar astrocytoma brain tumor diagnosed?

Do I have a brain tumor?

Since you can feel it on your skull, it isn't a brain tumor or a cerebral aneurysm, since those are located inside one's skull.A "slight" bulge I wouldn't consider to be one, since people aren't strictly symmetrical.Something pulsating means it is an artery. The usual location (anatomical variations can always occur) of the easily to be felt Superficial temporal artery  located just in front or your ears can be seen on this sketchDoes the location of the large temporal artery you can see above fit the place you feel something pulsating?  Then you have just felt your temporal artery.Still, nothing beats having a doc see you (someday?), but as long as nothing is growing bigger I wouldn't worry.

I KEEP THINKING I HAVE BRAIN TUMOR?

I think that you should get it checked out, however, it's probably unlikely. Sometimes when someone close to us dies we start focusing on physical being more and might experience similar symptoms or feel that we are sick. I am not saying you are imagining it, you can be experiencing those things without an actual physical cause but due to your anxiety and process of grief. I once had an actual lump near my ear that effected my hearing and a host of other symptoms when my aunt passed away at a young age but it went away. There was nothing physically wrong.

I keep thinking i have a brain tumor?

Dear one - I had a problem because of migraines and my hands going numb - and my doctors did a Cat Scan from my head to my mid spine. While they discovered a narrowing in my spine that was pinching the nerves - causing my hand trouble - they also found a brain tumor.

I have ZERO symptoms from it and it is a very common type. It is located over the area of my brain that controls my left leg - but I have no pain or difficulty with my left leg. It is 100% non-lethal - and so slow in growing, I probably would have been 80 before I noticed any difficulties. It is benign and there's no reason to remove it.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with my migraines.

If you actually suspect a brain tumor - you're going to have to have one of those $1,700.00 Cat Scans to find out. No amount of chasing symptoms will give you a definitive answer without one.

Temporary absent breathing is called apnea - and everyone, healthy or not experiences apnea. A brain tumor over an area that controls your breathing will stop you for a minute or more - not a couple of seconds, hon.

Blurry vision and sharp pain can be caused by everything from low blood sugar, to migraine, to sinus infection to congestion pressure due to allergies. There are PILES of reasons that do not correlate with a brain tumor.

Contact your doctor and talk about your symptoms - and if the panic is still consuming you, insist on a CT Scan. That will put all your fears to rest.

Peace.
