I think my brother may be mentally retarded. Is there any way to test him so he can get a disability check?
He had a job but couldn't count money. He is always late. He has trouble comprehending anything you say to him, and he can barely speak clearly. I just really feel like he has a mental problem. He used to get disability checks for mental illness when he was younger, but something happened to where he stopped receiving them. I am positive that he will never be able to work at any other job besides a Wal-Mart greeter(which still may be a challenge). Is there any way to get him any help so that he can move out and try to feel like he is an adult. He is 24. I feel very bad for him because he just doesn't understand anything and he just can't seem to get anything right.

If you're serious, a "mentally challenged" person probably is not going to know or wonder if they're retarded, or for that matter be getting stoned and then wondering if they are or not like you said, mentally retarded. Depending on the severity of your "retardation," you might not be on a computer asking that kind of question either. I don't know enough about the disability, but can probably assure you that your paranoia comes from getting stoned, and not much else. Ask yourself these questions, do I always feel mentally retarded? Do I feel better or worse about it if I'm stoned or not stoned? Did I feel this way before I started getting stoned? Do I think all of my friends that get stoned with me are the same way? If you answer yes to any of these questions, and still insist on self-diagnosing yourself, I'm thinking that it should give you a pretty good idea of whether or not you are retarded. Finally, I'm not sure of your age, but if you feel like you're mentally challenged, even when you're not getting high, you might want to follow up with a doctor and maybe even let your parents know how you're feeling. I'm not saying there are any issues, but you never know. Maybe you're exacerbating a true medical problem by getting stoned, and should have your doctor check you out physically and mentally, and maybe even refer you to a psychologist or a neurologist to make sure you're not "mentally retarded." No he is not actually mentally challenged. His real name is Nick Dinsmore. During the time he was away from WWE he went by Nick Dinsmore "NOT EUGENE". I'm friends with some people who know and who have booked Eugene. he is not mentally challenged but he sure does a good job of acting. Plus if he was, WWE would most likely take advantage of him, paying him little. He's a decent wrestler and got released due to drugs previously. Another reason to believe Nick Dinsmore a.k.a. Well the PC veterinarian told my daughter that her pit bull was “Special” and so he was. He was rejected by his mother at birth and she would NOT feed him. A friend literally breathed life into him with subQ fluids and she managed I do not know how to get him to suckle from a bitch that had given birth around that time.My daughter told me that his ‘file’ at the vets- specialists, etc was so thick. Throughout his life he had weird things- one nostril always dry- couldn’t be diagnosed- he had stomach issues requiring a special diet- for a year or more his weight dropped so low his health was in jeopardy. he jumped in stranger’s cars and was beaten up by a cat. It didn’t take long once you knew him to grasp that he most definitely had ‘issues’ and I always pictured him as getting on some little special ed van somewhere. He’d leap for joy over nothing-and until he was 2 he wouldn’t go to sleep unless he was staring into her face. When she had to go away he wouldn’t eat til she returned unless Grandmom sneaked him some scrambled eggs which my daughter would scream over- his stomach!She got a huge bonus one year over 25 K and that went directly to his knee operations- he had a gall bladder removed. He LOVED the vet jumped upon the table in glee.He lived until he was almost 12. Not a day goes by that we don’t think of him. And he truly was special in every way. Oliver. When people would meet him they’d always ask if he was a lab- he had 2 pit parents- we could vouch for that- and when we’d say he was a pit- sometimes they’d jump back- but mostly they were in awe.
Mentally retarded people?
There are quite a few mentally challenged people living in our town. I know of 3 couples that have been married, 2 of them are on the needle birth control the other one he has had a vasectomy. How I know this is I am close friends with someone that works with them and I wondered that myself. The one couple have a job where they go around and wash windows of stores. It supplement's their disability pension. And just like any other marriage they fight. I can tell when he's had a bad day with his wife, cause he will be alone and he'll tell me, I don't feel like washing windows today. So I will ask him if everything is ok, and he'll say that wife of mine, but then he'll laugh.lol Just like any other man. I say god bless them that they have found happiness.

These "goals" may take a much longer amount of time for them to accomplish, but the ultimate goal is independence. This may be anything from independence in tooth brushing to an independent residence. There's no indication that he is. He's particularly childlike and immature (even for an eight-year-old), but that's pretty clearly the result of his mother smothering, coddling and spoiling him, to an insane degree, implicitly from the time he was born.Now, his mother clearly has some emotional/psychological issues, which may or may not be genetic. His father was particularly old when he was conceived, which raises the odds of genetic problems. So there is the possibility that some of his obvious instability is biological. But being raised in isolation by an overbearing and unstable mother with both the determination and the resources to keep him from any kind of adversity, and a suffocating paranoia about losing him would mess up any kid.There's no indication that he has less than normal intelligence or developmental disability. It's his personal and emotional responses to the world around him, and his complete ignorance of/indifference to the basic rules of social conduct that are worrying. Most or all of that can be explained by how he was raised.

She doesnt look mentally retarded aka down syndrome, shese actually really cute. but I cant get over her things. For instance, we were cooking dinner. I asked her to cut some things with a knife and she tried to cut with the dull side toward the cutting board, TWICE. Another time is when we are walking toward our car. She always cuts in front of traffic several times and i have to hold her hand to keep her out of traffic. I think she is retarded but dont know for sure.
