I Think Im Allergic To Meat Eaters

Is it possible im allergic to meat?

As a kid i've grew up eating meat. I stopped eating meat and tried only eating fish at 14/15 but that only lasted 3 months most. When i used to eat meat i would get like someone with lactose intolerance would if they drink milk. Sick stomach for a week from one sitting, even something like a small bacon sandwich. I also react to fish though as i got the same when i only ate fish. Its when i eat meat but as soon as i went vegetarian its stopped completely. Ive been vegetarian since 1st september 2009. Is it possible im allergic? Im perfectly fine with cheese and milk just to add im not lactose intolerant.

Just to add im blood type A + as i know that some diets better suit certain blood types and blood type can effect certain things.

Is there such a thing as someone being allergic to meat?

Yes, yes there is. Its not 'meat' so much as a chemical found in the meat that people tend to be allergic to.

A very common one is shellfish. Many fish, particularly shrimp, crab, oysters, and assorted shellfish, have iodine in them, a common food allergy.

If you are curious about your own allergies talk to you health professional. They can do something called a 'scratch' test, which will help them find out what it is you are allergic to. This can help you to determine what to watch out for in the future.

Some people are not allergic so much as they are lacking certain digestive enzymes required to digest meat. More than likely its an allergy, but there are other possibilities. If you are having problems you can talk to your doctor about it and they can help you clear things up.

Good luck!

Am i allergic to meat ?

I hope this is a serious question because I will answer it seriously. I lived in Asia for a good chunk of my life, and am aware that this is a cultural thing, therefore I will not judge you. I have eaten dog and horse. Dog is really quite disgusting and actually tastes the way wet dog smells, and horse is just like eating a hunk of muscle. Anyway, when you are allergic to dogs, you are allergic to their dander, and not the dog itself. It's like flakes of skin on the dog. Pet dander. The dog you eat will have no fur, and will not have dander so you won't be allergic.

Allergic to meat?

My son (4) has flulike symptoms for almost a day after eating meat and vomits over the course of that time. We only made the meat connection the last time he had some steak and realized the last time we couldn't figure out what was wrong, he had also eaten steak. Also seems to have trouble digesting sausage and maybe chicken. But is it normal to vomit so much after just eating meat?

Allergic to beef can i eat...?

the terrific element to do is save a nutrition diary. it would desire to be a seasoning which you're allergic to fairly of the beef. that's conceivable that in case you devour over a undeniable quantity of meat in an afternoon which you react and you do no longer react in case you do no longer overindulge. I even have an intolerance to eggs, yet i'm able to get purchase with it if I devour decrease than a million/2 an egg in keeping with day. I even have an intolerance to cherries; a chew of cherry pie makes me ill, yet i'm able to devour 2 or 3 cherries with no concern. My nutrition plan is the different of yours, i'm very allergic to hen. i won't be in a position to have a hint of it in any nutrition. Even ingesting fish that grew to become into fried interior an identical oil as hen will complication me incredibly.

Are some people really allergic to meat???

Well, it's not so strange when you look into how most of the beef, poultry & fish (farm raised) are raised. In warehouses with no room for movement, they have to stand in their own feces, contract infections for which they are pumped with antibiotics and they never see the sun. This is so that corporate farmers can make more profit and bring more meat to the public, but at a cost to their health.

Do you know what is in meat, poultry these days? Growth hormones so that they can grow faster and antibiotics because of the unsanitary conditions in which they are raised.

Am I allergic to beef?

Okay, so I'm 19 and I'm trying to figure out if this constitutes as an allergy. MY WHOLE LIFE, whenever I eat beef, I end up vomiting. Now, this isn't all of the time because sometimes I'll have a small hamburger, I won't puke, but maybe just feel a bit gassy, which people say is common when you eat red meat. I have this theory that I don't puke on cheap, fast food burgers because they're not all 100% beef, unlike McDonalds wants us to believe. Nevertheless, I would say 80-90% of the time that I DO eat beef, I'll spend the whole night throwing up (and I NEVER eat that much). I'm lactose intolerant, but I highly doubt that's related because my body just doesn't produce lactase to digest it, it's not an immune response to a food protein. I'm just wondering how that's possible and what kind of protein it could be that I'm allergic to. I've never eaten any other meat that's not beef or poultry, so I'm just curious as to what other types of foods contain similar proteins to that in beef so that I know to avoid them because I have a VERY sensitive stomach.

Why do meat eaters consider it normal to kill and eat the flesh and blood of living creatures?

I was a meat eater, until the age of 60.In my youth my family had a cow for milk and every year we killed a pig for meat. It had to be rationed evenly over 12 months until the next pig was ready for slaughter. Also a few chickens for special occasions. Eggs when the chickens felt like giving them to us.The feces and urine of the animals were mixed in their bedding and then used for fertilizer for the vegetables we cultivated. Then industrial agriculture came along. It is not the same as the agriculture I saw then. Not for the animals where thousands of them are in enclosed pens, being fed huge amounts of antibiotics to avoid herd infections, and hormones to make them grow really fast. And neither for the plants, that now have to be fed on artificial (oil and gas consuming) fertilizers, and sprayed with industrial doses of pesticides in order to reach the consumer in the big city.About 3 years ago I saw the documentary Cowspiracy. (Here with Spanish subtitles)And I decided that for the benefit of our little blue dot circling around in endless space, I had to make a sacrifice. And for the benefit of keeping intact the ability of antibiotics to cure human illnesses, I had to make a sacrifice. So I made the effort to stop eating meat. As a political statement. I am not totally vegeterian, because every once in a while I cheat. With a Salami or Prosciuto sandwich, which were my favourites. But I have become what the British call a reducetarian.I eat some fish. But there again reduced the amount to a tenth of what I used to eat. Because I realized that the oceans are also being emptied of animal protein because of our exagerated consumption. So I upvoted Sebastien’s answer. It is indeed worthy of a TED talk. But for the sake of the planet and our future generations, we all need to become very frugal in our consumption of animal protein. And very careful with all the plants that require huge amounts of water, fertilizer and pesticides.Yes, we evolved through the consumption of meat. But it was certainly not grown in barns of 10 thousand pigs, or chickens or cows, with the sewage being emptied in rivers and oceans. And now that we have a brain that can figure out these problems, we have to act on them. Or else there will be a planet circling around the sun, but with no humans in it very soon.
