I Think Lizards Have Moved Into My Room

I think I saw a lizard in my room. Could it be harmful to sleep in the same room as the lizard?

Chances are, this lizard is probably thinking:I think I saw a human in the room i’m in. Could it be harmful to sleep in the same room as the human?(assuming he/she is nocturnal.)The only lizards that pose a real threat to humans are the venomous ones. Even if a lizard is venomous, it will almost never use it to attack an individual. Their venom is for defensive purposes. In fact, the lizard could mean there is prey in your room (assuming this lizard is either a carnivore or an omnivore). So actually, being in the same room as the lizard may be beneficial since it will eat small pests (again, i’m assuming it’s carnivorous or omnivorous)

There is a lizard in my room and I'm scared to sleep. Could the lizard go in my ear, or any other part of my body?

Not unless the lizard is like 2 centimeters long, no. Plus, it wouldn’t. Rather than being afraid of a tiny harmless animal, consider that the lizard will be policing your room for insects and other arthropods such as spiders, roaches, mosquitoes, moths, etc — any of which would be much more likely to go in your ear. ;)Lizards are MUCH smarter animals than they’re given credit for. Next time you see it, talk to it. Watch it cock its head to the side and regard you. There’s a mind in there, and it means you no harm at all. You might even be able to tame it, with a bit of work — teaching it that you’re no threat. The lizard has no interest in getting so close to you that you’re likely to accidentally squash it. It’s a fragile little animal, after all, and you’re not a hiding spot — you’re a potential predator. Unless there’s an insect on you. Then it might brave a quick dash to grab it, then off again up the wall.

There's a baby lizard in my room what do I do?

These little house geckos are great little exterminators. Unless you are overrun with them, they are worth having around.
Here are a few facts for you:
It won't die in your room, nor will it hang around long if it isn't finding bugs to eat.
IF by chance you should find it on your bed, it isn't going to stay, nor do they like to snuggle with humans.
You should be a little more appreciative of spiders as well, except that the gecko will eat them, they are predators of pest insects as well, and they certainly don't crawl into a humans mouth.
They will no more share your bed with you than the gecko will, and will never bother you while sleeping.
Neither of these critters are a nuisance unless in their presence you think of them as such.
I would welcome either one, and I do have a couple spiders in my room. Never once bothered me.

Lizard in my bedroom, help?

I was laying here reading when I heard some rummaging thru my room. I assumed it was my cat so I ignored it... Few minutes later though, something pops up from my bed and as soon as I jumped up to run, it ducked. I didn't get a good look at it seeing that I was running away and screaming... My mom convinced me to go back in my room and find out what it was, and when I pushed a box off to the side, I saw it again, this time it startled me... And I startled it... But I went back downstairs and then came back up. When I came back, it was gone... I recently moved, so I still have a ton of unpacked boxes and bags in my room where it can hide... I've heard it rummaging some more through out the day, but I can't find it and the sound always comes from a new place!! I'm not afraid of lizards necessarily, but I'd like to get a good sleep and I know lizards can't stay in the house very long. Especially since my house gets colder at night... AND what if it poops or pees? -.-

HOW can I lure it out when I can't find it?! HOW can I find it? HELP ME.

How to get rid of lizards...OMG plz help ?

To attempt to answer your question I'll start by informing you that there is a powdery substance that's used to get rid of roaches. This product can be found at a hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes. But first ask the assistance from an employee familiar with your description. Like with any poisons, use caution and read the directions carefully. It is a blue powdery substance and the lizard don't appear to like it. I believe it has an acid based. So again, I stress caution in it's use and follow the direction on the label.

Next, check for cracks and any access points around your home. Properly sill these areas. If you don't know the proper way to caulk or sill, then ask the home owner to hire a professional.

Next, get rid of the things that lizards like - for instance, bugs that they eat. If you don't know the proper way to get rid of these bugs, then hire an exterminator for both the bugs and the lizards. Unfortunately, you may hear some of the same comments you've heard from other responders on this site...like "they kill the bugs". But you'll be further ahead even if the exterminator rid you of the other pests, the lizard will likely move on because there's less for them to feed on.

For over 20 years I lived here and have never seen a lizard in my neighborhood until two years ago after new neighbors moved next door. I'm not accusing them, but you do the math. Since then, they have been repopulating and it was a constant battle to keep them away. So far, the powder has been a good deterrent. I hope my comments help you.

Lizards scare me and I can't sleep at night if one is in my room. I think it can fall on me. What can I do to be normal?

The only way any lizard outside a Gilla monster or Komodo dragon is going to kill you is if you swallow the thing and choke on it. Lizards avoid humans and have a pretty good sense of self preservation so you are 100 times more likely to get hit by a bus carrying the Rock band Kiss while dancing with a meteor storm falling from the sky than die by lizard. At least in the US or Western nations.  If you live in Indonesia it might be a little different. What you want to do is start some CBT to help you overcome your fear of lizards. What the therapist will do is help you explore your fear and expose you to lizards in increasing doses until your handling them and considering keeping one as a pet. You can make a full and total recovery and should.  While being afraid of lizards is not a big deal in terms of phobias, it places stress on you. Stress, at least bad stress such as a phobia induces shortens your life and degrades your ability to fight of disease.  It sounds like you live in a region where lizards are common or you have a very strong phobia. In either case, the lizards are not killing you, you are killing yourself with the stress and since it is so easy beat this, it's stress for no reason.

A lizard got in my room. Will my hamster be ok?

It got through this tiny gap in my window. It keeps getting close to my hamsters cage. I moved the cage. If it gets in the cage what do you think will happen? what will my hamster do? My hamsters scared of a lot of things. But will it kill it by instinct or what?
-Dwarf hamsters
-Its just one of those extremely common lizards you find in the back yard.
