I think my house is haunted.?

It sounds like you do have a haunted house. Have your parents ever thought of contacting a paranormal group before? Try asking around about your home. Ask some neighbors that have been living in the neighborhood longer than you have, and ask about past owners and if they heard or saw anything strange in or near your home. If nothing comes up, see if you can contact past owners if possible. Talk to your parents about this and try to get them to understand the situation that you're in.

What's got me curious, is the middle-aged woman that you see somewhat often. If her name and image just pops up in your head, try searching up her name and where you live. You may find some interesting things. I have suspicions that she may have died in that home and is either trying to communicate with you or trying to scare you. She hasn't done anything really harmful has she? Like, life-threatening things? If so, you must contact someone like a paranormal group, a priest, or maybe a medium.

If you live nearby a local church or temple, try talking to them about this. Talk to a priest and see what they would think of the situation.

I think my house is haunted, what do you think?

Well, Chloe-it does sound like there is something going on in your house that is definitely not right. Is there a neighbor close by that has been there for awhile that can tell you the honest to God true history of the house and the former occupants?
Im not sure how old you are but children and animals are the most sensitive to these things.
See if your parents will allow you to invite a priest or other clergy person over to bless the house. There are some things on line that you should be able to find in regards to blessing the house, different prayers you can pray through it that will bind up any negative or evil spirits in the name of Jesus Christ or encourage someone that has unfinished business or doesnt know they are dead to leave or at least leave you alone.
In response to your specific experiences:
1-I have been there where it feels someone is watching you and it IS freaky
2-The footsteps and knocking-not cool-never had that happen to me but look up energy imprints and that might explain it
3-If theres no other explanation for the smells, I would support this as being evidence
4-Ghosts,Ive been told, get energy from electricity so they can affect electronics
5-Yes, that would freak me out too-but thats your brother and are you sure hes not saying that to freak you out even more?
6-Animals are very sensitive to this stuff!
7-what did your friend see? scary she was crying...
8-again the electricity!
One thing you can do if you have a camcorder or camera, is to wait until its dark and start taking pictures and see if something shows up on film?
I would call a priest and start doing some research about how to get this out or to at least leave you all alone! See if theres a paranormal investigations agency in your city, too.

I think my house is haunted?

A couple months ago, a strange thing happened. I had returned home from shopping and found my attic door opened. There's no way to open the attic door without a ladder being used (comes without one) and unless you are extremely tall, a chair won't do.

Lately my 2 year old has been nervous and scared day and night. She will point at the walls and ceilings telling me "Look, its here". She'll tell whatever it is she's looking (or imagining) to go away. Whatever it is or whatever she's thinking ,it is scary looking and scaring her too.

I asked her if it was something nice or mean. She said mean.

I asked her if it looked like a dog, a flower, a rabbit or some sort of cartoon character from her favorite tv shows (both good and bad) and each time she tells me it's a ghost.

With her limited vocabulary, she can't seem to tell me exactly what it looks like except its scary.

Is there anything I can do? I am a somewhat believer of the supernatural.

I think my house is haunted...?

First, IF your house is haunted, the # thing you DON'T do is attempt to communicate with whatever is there! This is very dangerous. I'm a Supernatural Investigator and have been in this field for over 20 years.
Unless I was there, I can only project what may or may not be. A lot of what you mentioned could be naturally explained, but at the same time, this doesn't rule out supernaturally. Common haunting characteristics are: sudden low temp drops, shadows, electrical issues, animals acting strange/reacting to unseen things, nightmares/terrors, odd sounds and voices, missing items, items moving, falling... The best way to go about this is to totally ignore it. Any attention or energy you give to the spirit realm, it absorbs, often taking a toll on your health (headaches, body aches, mood swings, insomnia, flu-like symptoms... to name a few). I have seen too many times people assuming who or what is in their house, and they attempt to speak to it (get answers). This begins what I call the spiritual snowball effect. Interacting with spirits when we don't know truly what they are, is dangerous. So, ignore what you think may be a ghost or haunting. If activity increases into things like 3am wake ups, marks/bruises appearing on you, foul smells, things that happen in 3's (like knocks, scratches...), sudden fear or paranoia, bouts of anger or sickness for no reason, night terrors... This is when you need to worry. I have found 9/10 when people are experiencing a haunting, it's more of them than their home. When people are sensitive to spirits, they encounter them everywhere. Is this the first place you've experienced this at? You can always contact me if you wish. Good luck!

I think my house is haunted. Any help?

We've lived here for about 13 years. Our house was built around the 70's or 80's I believe. The previous owner had a heart attack in our house and died in the hospital. Since we moved in, my father had frequently seen a tall and slim black shadow man with a top hat on (his description) walk across the foyer. He did not tell anyone to avoid us being scared. One night my brother said that he sees a man in the foyer while watching TV. My dad had a very confused but clearly fearful look on his face. He asked my brother to describe the man's appearance and sure enough it was the exact same as my fathers. Mind you, my brother was around 4-5 at the time so I highly doubt my brother would have enough sense to make up a story like that. My father explained to us that he see's the exact same man as my brother. My father also claimed that he once called the man into his room at night.

One day, we had company over. We told them the story of the black shadow man. Our guest was sitting in a chair and behind the chair was a fake tree that hasn't been moved or touched in years. Our guest did not believe my father's story. At that exact moment, the tree fell RIGHT on our guest.

Years later, we got a dog. One day, our dog was viciously barking at a wall. She ran to the foyer, barked for a few minutes, and stopped. My brother and father have not seen the man since then.

Could my house really be haunted? Is there anything I should do? Will this spirit try hurting us? Thanks :)

I think my house is haunted.. (not a joke)?

Okay so 4 years ago my family and I moved into a new house that we bought from the bank because the owners actually took there own lives somewhere in the house...there were a few things that happened like lights being turned on and doors opening by themselves but nothing that big. 3 years later my brother had an incident with an old lady standing over his bed in the middle of the night... he didn't say anything until a couple months later when I said I had the same thing happen to me.. I havnt had any other situations like that in a while but now I have STRONG feelings of me being watched as well has pictures falling over by themselves. It's getting really scary. Please don't joke with the responds this is serious...

How to know if your house is haunted?

Do some research on your house/apartment. Has anyone died there? has anyone in the neighbourhood died in a particularly traumatic or violent way? If no, try to find out if there have been any... er.. i dont want to say "demonic" but demonic rituals (for lack of a better term) in or around your property. Find out if there are high mineral deposits, especially things like quartz are suspected to promote "paranormal" activity. check on all the gas lines that come into your house. *about 1/3 of paranormal reports my fiance investigated were linked to carbon monoxide or other natural gases entering the site (which can cause a multitude of halucinations from feeling a presence, to actually seeing, hearing "ghosts", to feelings of nausia and headaches, pains and illnesses). Also check where the electric lines are and if there are any places in your house where there are high tendancies for electromagnetic activity. Basically try and disprove it. If you can't then you may have an unseen roomate. In the cases my fiance worked, only about 5% were actual unexplained activity. and unexplained means just that, it does not necessarily mean a haunting. that means there is about a 95% chance that it's just new house jitters and that you're paranoid about the houses settlings. but whatever you do, do not, unless you are an extremely devout catholic, and have read all your scripture and know it like the back of your hand, have a preist come bless your house. it will only piss it off if there is something there. If you are dealing with an "entity" and happen to find out it's name, and this is important, do not ever, under any circumstances, challenge it or say it's name or write it down. doing so acknowleges it and gives it power, just like putting a battery in a recharger, or talking to or looking at a dog when it's doing something you don't like. if it cannot get your attention, it has no power over you.

How do we come to know if our house is haunted?

Someone please explain what I saw.Well, I’m an Athiest and don’t believe in ghosts either. Never in my whole life have I encountered anything weird enough to amaze me except this one time. Background:I’m from India and my childhood was partially spent in a rural area where my grandparents lived. So on this particular day my grandfather had died and after completing all the funeral activities, we were ready to go to sleep. At that time we used to sleep on roofs. My cousins were busy discussing something on the bed left to mine, my aunt was lying on another bed left to my cousins’. There were two rooms on either side of this roof, somewhat like this |___|. I (12 years old) was talking to my elder sister (20s) while looking at the sky. The sky in villages is so clear that one can tell why this galaxy is called ‘Milky’. One can always find a meteor traveling through the Milky Way Galaxy when the sky is clear.Phenomenon:My elder sister and I both were quite, listening to what our cousins were discussing and admiring the sky. All of a sudden I felt numb, I could sense a kind of pressure coming from above and this started happening before 1 second the flash of white light had appeared which then passed from right to left in a split second. After it passed the same former sensation persisted for about 1 second. May be I was dumbstruck but it was as if my body had stopped responding. After the event me and my sister exlaimed together, “dekha dekha?” (Did you see?). We asked the same question to our cousins who were busy in discussions and they said they didn’t see anything. For a moment we thought it was our imagination and then my aunt said,”maine dekha” (I saw).Until this day I can only relate this event to an alien spaceship because:It felt very close. There was no sound, only light and kind of pressure.Sorry for any bad English.

I think my house is haunted, what's the first thing to do?

Let's take it step-by-step:Why do you feel your house is haunted? In my entire life, I've never seen a haunted house that didn't have a logical explanation...in many cases, I've resolved a haunting by doing something like properly mounting a pipe to a ceiling joistInvite somebody to come stay with you for a bit. DO NOT TELL THE PERSON THAT YOU FEEL YOUR HOUSE IS HAUNTED. DON'T PROMPT THIS PERSON IN ANY WAY. You want this person to be a completely neutral observer. Make an excuse like, "I'm thinking of selling my house and I want an outside perspective on how comfortable my house is." This gives you a way of having the person sleep in a different bedroom each night. If the person mysteriously sleeps through the night with no issues, guess what?Eliminate all possibilities. Do you have pets? Get them out of the house for a few days. Kids? Have them stay with relatives for a few days after you get the pets back. You're looking to remove any other possible sources, and kids are well known perpetrators of many "hauntings". Still think the house is haunted? Okay, next up: eliminate those items that are known scientifically. Do the hauntings only happen when you're asleep? You're most like experiencing some mix of night terrors and waking dreams, both of which are well known and established.  Is it isolated to a single room of the house, or a specific time of day? This may allow you to narrow things down and find the real cause.Still think the house is haunted? Figure out where you think hauntings are taking place in the house and set up a camera to record things. If you hear sounds, a camera will pick it up. If you see things, a camera will pick it up. Still think the house is haunted? Call in an investigator. No no, not a "ghost hunter", they'll charge you thousands of dollars to pretend to do something, hoping for a placebo effect. No, you want to get yourself somebody like me, a skeptic, who works for free because we're desperately looking for an actual haunting so we can finally say "well look at that!" I can guarantee you if you have done all these things and you have, on camera, proof of a haunting, a skeptic will come running to investigate. Just look up your local skeptics' society (www.meetup.com) and ask for help! After all that, if you STILL feel your house is haunted, feel free to try the other suggestions by other people...but please, don't just jump to the "ghost" conclusion when it's most likely something simple and benign.
