I Think My Uncle Has His Wifi Set Up So He Can See Activity.

When using someone's wifi can they see history from past?

If the question is “can they”, then the answer is yes.Anytime you visit a website or download a file, your device requests the information. This request is seen by all of the equipment that is in the path between your device and the information. The home wireless router is not generally configured for detailed logging, however they can be easily modified to provide this functionality. The ISP also keeps a log, Internet providers in the US are required by federal law to retain this information for a period of time. That being said,Most home users are not savvy enough to keep detailed logs, or even know where to find them if they were available, However there are exceptions. If you connect to my WiFi, I will know what sites you visited.Never assume anonymity when using the Internet. Browser tricks such as Google Chrome’s Incognito mode won’t hide you from routing equipment. In case you want to click the “Learn More” from the screenshot. Browse in private with Incognito modeGood Luck…

What kind of gift fits a 15 year old boy who is very active?

As an active 15 year old boy, I can tell you that I just got a pretty f**kin’ cool knife as a gift for thankschristmas (family tradition).I also love socks. Socks are the greatest.Besides that, I like getting miscellaneous camping gear and swim stuff like goggles, fins, a cap, or a suit if anything wore out. If the person you are buying for likes running, you could try running shoes and a water bottle and socks. You can’t go wrong with socks.Honestly, it all depends on what he likes to do. There is specific gear for lots of different sports and physical activities.Another idea that could work is a watch. I have a dive watch that I got the Christmas before I first went diving a few years ago, and I wear it everywhere. I honestly don’t remember the last time I took the thing off.You might also want to think about sunglasses, a belt, earbuds, a doorway pull-up bar, or even a amazon gift card.If you’re willing to spend some more serious cash, a new phone and name-brand clothing are generally good. Some of my favorite gifts that I’ve ever received were pieces of custom furniture from my grandpa. I designed it and he made it a reality in his workshop. Another was a bow from my uncle. Most of these items are things that I got as gifts and loved. Some are things I want. But if you want a great gift, take a look at him and see what he would find useful or interesting. Think back… has he ever said something in particular that he wants? Don’t take my word for it, you’re not buying for me.Edit: I’m confused looking at your profile. You’re a 15 year old boy…

My elderly uncle owns an iPhone while I own an Android and his texts to me have been coming to my email spam folder, how would I help him fix this?

Your uncle may have looked up “text to email,” and changed his info to something like:2125551212@tmomail.net, or @vzwmail.net, etcThinking that this would be an easy way to text you from a computer, vs the tiny print on his phone, but then forgot to use your @ISPdotnet as your recipient formatting, and used your email address instead. This is how it's possible to send/receive “texts” from an email account, and he could be confused about how the protocols, and processes work. Personally, I have a few important email addresses that instantly forward their messages to texts, since I see those before checking my email.I'd suggest, nicely, of course, that he let you look at his phone, and the contact info that he has for you, because it's also possible that whatever texting app he's using handles email as well, which explains the spam.Even though they're entirely different protocols, handled very differently at all layers of communication, there are apps/clients that do it all, and will import settings, address books, etc., automagically if you're just clicking through, and not actually reading the app installation screens.

How does the police track VPN users?

Many people here say that “Police will just contact VPN company”. For the sake of example, do you really think an Indonesian VPN company will care if a UK police asks them to reveal anything? And what if you use multiple VPNs - Indonesian VPN - Afghan - Moroccan. Do you really think UK police will go through all of the companies and they will all agree to give the info? Even if they do, it would take police months if not years to get all the info because of all the bureaucracy. UK police can of course contact Indonesian police, but in many countries the local police does not even have departments which investigate cyber crimes yet (perfect countries for hackers), so it is possible that Indonesian police would not even be able to help the UK police. I think everything is not as simple as many people here say.

Why didn't I get into Colgate University?

I have pretty good SAT Scores, a 1200 on 2 sections and 1850 total. I am a straight A, honor roll student, in multiple clubs, the secretary of student council, the captain of 2 cheerleading teams, a national honor society member, and i also volunteer tutor kids every week, and i have also been a volunteer coach of an elementary age cheerleading team. i wrote an awesome essay, included my (i thought) impressive resume. I visited the tours, slept over at the college and tried to show an interest in ANY activity they offered. My dad and uncle are also alumni at colgate.

but i got denied :( what did i do wrong? i feel so crappy, i wish i could ask them if there is anything more i could have done?

How does Facebook's "People You May Know" work?

Facebook makes use of the graph algorithm ,which means that any friend of yours having a friend will be linked to you .Kind of like If A is connected to B and B is connected to C ,the A will be connected to C.Now ,we all know that we add many random people in our friend list.So i guess you and your neighbour might have a chain of friends in between you that is why Facebook links you with him.Consider this caseSuppose you are A and you have an added friend B.Your neighbour is D and he has a friend C.Let B and C be friends .Now basically you and your neighbour may not have mutual friends but you will be in each others suggested friends. :)

Why is my Grandpa so mean to me? Any solutions?

Me and my cousin's house is really close to each other, and I usually go there for WIFI. I only have a mom. I normally go there on a basis, but lately my Grandpa has been really mean and I cry. I'm 13. He had an incident where he fell and he claims that I said he had a seizure but I really didn't say that. My little cousin can prove that. He claims I lie and time to time I do it, yet he acts so mean. My little cousin and my older cousin tell there mom but I don't know what she does. When I normally go to there house, it's usually him watching over. He's from my Uncle's side. Please tell me why he's so mean! I don't do anything bad to him! I just sit down play my Ipad and i'm quiet! He normally kicks me out... Please help. Thanks!
