I Think Tostudy Make A Study Plan And Start But Only The 1st Day I Dont Feel To Study On The 2nd

I Think I Am Studying Wrong?

LOL

I'm in Calculus, Computer programming in C, Chemistry plus the 3 hour lab, and a sociology class that requires me to read 100+ pages a week. Not to boast but ask me how I do it?

Ok, I'll tell you... I basically have no life. I used to but now it's at the point where I don't care and I just want to put all my energy in pursing a degree in ME, a real good one. You know what you should do?

The following:
-Note cards for each subject
-have a planner
-have scratch paper ready for computing (writing and fixing sentences/doing math)
-Keep your stack of notecards separate from each subject and review each night before bed.

this is something that really helps me if you really get tired; I had to use this when I had only 2 hours of sleep in my car freezing then my day starting at 7am all the way down to 8:30pm when my 3 hour lab ends. 5 hour energy drink. That is like the thing that got me through the day and I really felt as if I had 8 hours of sleep. Man it is good.

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!

ok I read the whole thing. Stop re-writing notes all over again, are you stupid or something? Only write the important thing...and if you copy everything word for word, ugh don't do that...pointless.

What you need to do is understand the concept...okay? Work on one thing at a time. do the practice problems. PRIORITIZE! If you have more important things to do and your homework isn't required, don't freakin do it. It seems from what you are saying is that you are just copying things down and trying to remember it that way.

I'm starting a new paragraph so it's easier to read.

The best way to remember anything is to understand it, not just memorize it. 3 hours of homework is hardly anything, if you want all A's go for an hour and a half for each subject! French...isn't that supposed to be easy. The question now stands: which class is more important to you? Which ones do you value more? If you feel like you won't need to apply the class in the real world or in college, just get an A by means of memorization, completing assignments, and studying for the tests in a way that is less time consuming but allows you to pass with an A.

How do I study 1 month before my final exams?

1.Prepare the best time table how much you can and strictly FOLLOW IT.2. NEVER GIVE UP.3. Make the 50/30/20 rule by dividing the time equally in sequence.50 means, you have to give your 50 % in understanding the concepts30 means, Do practice of that problem minimum 5 times to make sit in your mind.20 means, Revision of all those which you have learned in this 50+30 %time rule.{THIS PROCESS IS LIKE DIVIDE AND RULE.}I am sure you will score your best and specially this time is the best time for, if you want to study all night.Make sure that you are giving your best time to understand all the related topics and theories given in books. Mom wants me to study 24/7!!!!??!?

Don't ever recall studying over 2 hrs per day for any exam. I was on the honor roll all through high school but it really comes down to a few factors.

1. Is the teacher any good ?
2. Have you tried changing your studying techniques ?
3. Do you make an honest effort ?

1. If the teacher is dull and is unable to make the class interesting through various techniques like, trips, hands on exercises, visual or creative learning file a complaint. Most schools allow you to fill out a feedback form and file a complaint anonymously. They even do this in college.

One time I was put in a math class with an instructor who spoke poor English. Very frustrating! It was difficult to understand her broken English so I was struggling to grasp the concepts. I wasn't sure if I signed up for a language class or a math course - lol

Dropped the class and replaced the instructor asap! Had I stayed there my grades would have dropped. In college the only thing I don't like is that before you can drop a class at least where I attended you have to take the paper work to the teacher and have them sign it. You basically having them sign their own death sentence which is unfortunate but it is what it is.

2. Maybe you are a better visual learner. Have you looked into DVD training tools. You may learn better by examples then by reading books. Look into video tutorials and such.

I have used the ones from http://www.mathtutordvd.com in the past. They are great and each covers various subjects from math to physics.

3. Have you ever truly sat down in a quiet comfortable place with good lighting and studied ? Once you do it a few times it becomes second nature.

If you lose focus quickly maybe you need to eat better, exercise and get at least 8 hrs of sleep. Try juicing veggis and drink it - it will strenghen your mind. Fruits will beautify the skin.

By the way Asian peeps are very strict when it comes to schooling. It's always been like that ever since I can remember. They rank as one of the highest in both educational and work ethics. Don't think your mom is a beast - just want's you to be very competitive.

How can I make studying a priority and how do I study properly.?

It sounds like what you need is a good study system. When used consistently, a good study method will not only help you study more effectively, but it will also enable you to develop a good feel for how much time you should be spending studying. This will help you to plan and organize your study time much better. You'll be able to spend more time studying and less time trying to figure out how to study.

There are lots of good study systems out there. Just do a Google search for terms such as "how to study", "study system", "study method", "college study skills", etc. Or, try this one: http://studylikeanexpert.com/beststudymethod.aspx It's the best one I've found and is the one I used to make the Dean's Honor List my junior and senior years in college. It's the only study method I've been able to find that focuses primarily on how to study your textbooks in order to be successful on exams. Since textbook studying is the majority of your studying, this is a good skill to learn and is certainly the skill that helped me the most.

This is a good one, but there are lots of others, so look around.

Good luck!

How do you study effectively?

If I know I'm going to study later, I make sure that I have glucose and iron-strong foods because they actually feed the brain and make it work better. I skim through the reading first and look at the section headings so that I know the types of information that I'm going to be looking at. The brain can only learn between 5 and 9 new concepts in a session (this can be helped by chunking related items into one chunk), so give yourself several days to repeatedly rehearse and go over the material if this is stuff you're going to have to know and reuse all semester long. If you have a test the next day or the next period, cramming will definitely put some of that info in the front of your mind to help you pass the test, but cramming is only temporary memory so if you need it beyond that test, just keep going over it.

Note: it takes about 24 hours for your brain to process information to make it permanent, the more rehearsal, the more permanent it'll be.

P.S. Don't just read the words--as you're going, when you learn something new, think to yourself about 2 different things:
1. Does this make sense?
2. Does this have meaning?

In other words, do you get what they're saying, and can you think of a way it can be applied, like an example.

P.S.S. If you're still having trouble remembering things, get a study buddy and explain concepts to each other. Research shows that when you have to teach someone else, you get to understand and remember the information more thoroughly and clearly.

Happy studying!
