Can a school forbid my son from wearing a dress?

I adopted my youngest son four years ago and I don't like enforcing gender roles or stereotypes on people, esecially children, because I want them to make choices in life based on their goals and wants and not what they believe they're "expected to do" just because of their gender. Anyway, my son is now seven and we recently moved to a new school district and the school year has just started. My son wore a dress to school today (I let him pick out his own clothes for the most part except when he wants to break out the fireman hat and bunny ears). It was a simple yellow dress from Wal-Mart. Nothing revealing, offensive, or anything like that. Anyway, today, I got a call at work to come pick him up because he was dressed inappropriately but last Monday, there was a girl in his grade wearing the same dress. I'm not going to tell my son he can't wear a dress so I'm wondering if a school can legally forbid my son to wear a dress that follows the uniform rules.

Should I wear a wig to school?

Okay so these past years I have ruined my hair from cutting and dying. So now I buy wigs. I'm starting a new school and this wig I wear is REALLY natural looking. It's a deep blonde A-line cut with side bangs. I usually wear a hat with it and no one looks at me weird when I wear it and no one even asks me if it's a wig. They just assume it's my hair. But I have to start school and I'm worried. I don't want to not wear it because my real hair is a MESS. It's BRIGHT blonde with weird chunks of brown. I HATE it. I just don't want anyone to like rip it off or it fall off. It doesn't ever when I wear it.. But I don't know. What do you think?

Too young to shop at Victoria's Secret?

So, I was browsing my local Victoria's Secret store when my eyes landed on a young trio of girls. The oldest two looked about 13-14 and the youngest one looked about 12-13 with a height of about 5 ft. They were over in the PINK section, which I had just walked over to. Now, I thought, "Errm, well maybe they're just there to buy lotion or something." But, nope, they were looking right at a pile of PINK thong undies with sexual prints on them. One girl picked up a pair of boy shorts that plastered "I 'Heart' French Kissing" on the rear and clutched them to her chest repeating the print in a love struck tone.

Well, I couldn't believe it. I was dumbfounded. I had to move away quickly because it was too much of an "ick" factor listening to these young girls talk about which booty shorts or thongs looked the cutest. Needless to say, their clothing was awfully mature and flashy for a group of middle school post pre-teens (not tankini flashy, but enough where they're wearing makeup and dressed like they were in their late teens) and they didn't even look like they were even in high school yet. I know Victoria's Secret's PINK label is geared towards high school age to college, but when I think,"high schools girls looking at thongs" it's more along the age line of 16 and older.

By the end of my mini shopping spree, the same girls were in line buying those thongs they were drooling over. Honestly, it put a tiny damper on my mood, but I do realize that we live in a very sexualized culture where the age is getting younger and younger.

So, I guess my question is how young is too young to be in Victoria's Secret? I say 16 and older.
Do you think Victoria's Secret should have an age limit? Why or why not? If you were a parent or if you are a parent, would you allow your daughters to shop there and what age?

Wigs?? is it a good choice?

I'm 16 and every now and then I wear a wig. Because, I don't want to damage my hair from dying it all these colours and its fun to have a quick change and you can take it off whenever.

Usually you can't notice people wearing wigs, if they're that good. So really i can't say what I'd think if I saw you (15 year old) wearing a wig.

Don't be embarrassed by wearing them. If people make rude comments, keep walking, ignore them. They're not worth your time.

So if you feel comfortable wearing one, go for it. If not maybe you could opt for clip in hair extensions?

Is it ok for a 15 year old to wear a wig?

Of course, wigs are amazing and beautiful. Wigs are a great way for you to change your complete appearance and It gives you options and they are like fashion accessories. Wigs are wearable, regardless of age or race. It is a symbol of fashion, and the choice of wigs and the way to buy them are quite important. I recommend you to use a natural hair wig. I'll show you the pros and cons of it.The advantage of human hair wig is:Modeling diversity. Many wigs can be colored, permed and shaped like your own hair.Remember, if you want to change your style, it's important to bring your wig to an experienced designer. The texture.Human hair wigs have a variety of textures, so you can closely match your own hair texture.A long life. With proper care, a person's hair wig can last a year or more each day.4.Natural appearance. The wig feels great and looks natural.Disadvantages:High maintenance.Just like real hair, a human hair wig needs to be washed regularly, adjusted for depth and reshaped. The cost.Because they are harvested from human hair, they are usually more expensive. The weight.A human hair wig will feel heavier than a synthetic wig of the same length and style. The modelling.Wigs are more labor-intensive and require more effort and skill to shape the style.Synthetic hair is easy to care but can't be made, it is easy to see it is fake hair, it can't change the color. The service life is also very short, usually about five months. So I still suggest you choose pure natural person hair wig, appear more youthful and beautiful more realistic. 20 years is certainly can wear. I can recommended you a good supplier of real human hair wig:modern show hair. They provide Brazilian virgin hair, Indian virgin hair, Malaysian virgin hair, Peruvian hair. All of the human hair is Remy hair which are very soft and can be used for a long time. If you need to have a look, please continue to follow my blog, I will update more wig knowledge at any time.

How can I tell if someone is an undercover cop?

Most undercover cops wear fake beards, wigs, mustaches, and sometimes fake hair pieces. The area in which I live in the U.S. is swarming with undercover cops. Many of them look like the dudes on Duck Dynasty. I however can tell when someone is wearing a fake beard. I took theater classes for ten years. Make-up and costuming were two areas that I studied. Some of them are older men, they seem to enjoy being lookouts in places like Wal-Mart and some malls. You would think they are just old and sitting on a bench, until you see they are wearing their police boots. Some watch their target's closely and begin going to places the target normally goes. They sometimes ask the store owners or restarant managers if they can masquerade as a server, or store clerk. You can always tell it's a cop by looking at their closely cropped hair. Sometimes they go overboard with beards or they wear things that doesn't seem to fit for the general population of that area. That's because they are recruited cops from other agencies in different States. They try to blend in but because they don't know the traditions, culture, and customs of the new area, they just look ridiculous. Most cops have military style haircuts, they walk upright with their chests out like a military soldier, they walk as if they are marching. Some wear shades in stores, Others wear hats. Again some try to blend in but if you take an Officer say from New York City and move him to Texas, no matter how much he tried to blend in, he may go overboard with a ridiculous looking cowboy hat or a pair of jeans that are out of style. Most are in a hurry and don't don't do their homework when they arrive at their new agency when they get transferred, so they stick out like a sore thumb.Pay attention to the side of highways and streets. If you are under surveillance you will see them dressed in baggy jeans, jeans with holes in them, or a dirty shirt. They look like bums at first glance except they have a cell phone with them, and are wearing black officer issued boots.Hope this helps!
