I Took A Dump And A Live Bug Was In My Poop I Think I Have Bug Eggs Inside Me What Do I Do

How do you get rid of bed bugs?

A friend just called and asked me and I really don't know. They spent the night on the road in a motel and when they got home they had bites all over them. Then the next a.m. they found more bites , so they think they carried them home with them. Do you know how to get rid of them? She needs help. Thanks in advance for any help.

Would you step on a spider "pregnant" with eggs?

Of course not, I have raised or at least protected hundreds of baby spiders in my life. Come to think of it, it is probably close to a thousand baby spiders that I’ve helped along. I raised 4 Wolf spiders, 3 six spotted fishing spiders, at least 4 Dolomedes tenebrosus females. I’ve also cared for several female house spiders of various species. Here is a picture of an unfamiliar species of comb footed messy web spider I discovered one day in my garage. All those little light colored specks are baby spiders. That’s their mama off to the lower right corner.Spiders don’t get pregnant with eggs; most spiders create an egg sac out of silk and depending on the species, either care for it, or at least tend it until the weather grows cold.A spider typically as about a hundred baby spiders per clutch of eggs. In the wild, only about one percent survive to adulthood.I really can’t understand why people feel the need to kill spiders out of a fear of them. I have a fear of strange dogs, but I don’t go around killing them, even though dogs are 4 million times more dangerous than spiders.

What kind of odor do cockroaches produce? What are things that can cause such smell and how do you get rid of it?

I would liken the odor of cockroaches to a somewhat sharp, synthetic cherry-almond-pistachio flavoring. That's the top note. Heck, some of us almond tea and desserts-hating members of the Chinese race would even go to the extent of describing almond desserts(soybean milk, soycurd, jelly, cakes, cookies and teas) as having “the icky taste of roach”. The same applies to fake maraschino cherry desserts and pistachio desserts (though us Chinese people don't get the luxury to enjoy these as often). The middle note is the smell of mud and soil mixed with water and a bit of rotten hay. That dry, stale smell of rain soaked grains left to spoil. Some varieties of dried uncooked rice from the supermarket does indeed have that hay-turned-bad odour, especially (in order of concentration) ponni rice, basmati rice, red cargo rice and Thai white jasmine rice. I'm not sure if the gunnysack contributes to that. My mother, along with some Chinese old folks, also used to describe the taste of low grade rice noodle products especially bee hoon(rice vermicelli) and kway teow (rice fettuccine) as “tastes as cheap as cockroach's shit”The base note is unmistakable. In fact it is the only note differentiating the household pest from my favourite dessert. Petroleum, heavy grease, WD-40-ish wretchedness. Oily, icky. And maybe a bit of tequila in it.I can smell a roach like from 5metres away. Many times I have walked past some drain cover and thought to myself “blarghg that smells just like the roaches”, only to see one scuttling past my feet 2 seconds later. Or returning my food tray with a pal at the foodcourt and saying “shit this pile of dishes smell like the roaches” with the pal going “nah you think too much it's just dirty dishes”, only to have one such bugger crawling out from under the dish bucket the moment I drop my tray in.So I answered 1.5 of your question. You're welcome. My nose is probably good as Grenouille.

What are these tiny black spiral-shaped things on my cat?

It's flea dirt, (dried digested blood) from your cat. Take a flea comb , available at any pet store and run it through your cat's fur. Chances are high that it will have fleas stuck in the teeth of the comb. Dump the fleas into a dish of soapy water, it will kill them instantly. (Clogs their spiracles)

Take your cat to your Vet and ask what they recommend for treatment (Advantage, Frontline, etc.) and treat ASAP. A large load of fleas are capable of making your cat anemic.

You will also want to treat your home, get an exterminators advice on the safest way to proceed. Wash all bedding in hot soapy water. Fleas are difficult to get rid of once established in a home, but not impossible. :)

Good luck.

Why are flies so attracted to poop?

Because, to a fly, it smells delicious! While not all flies like poop, many will lay their eggs in it and their larvae will grow and feed on it, getting all the nutrients they need to grow from it. Adult flies may feed from it too. Humans cannot survive on a diet of dung, and can actually get very sick from it due to the many disease it carries. Thus, not only are we not attracted to dung, but we actually find the odors repulsive. For the record, flies don't seem attracted to their own poop. Only those of larger vertebrates.Fun fact: It's not uncommon to see butterflies swarming around a fresh poo! Why? The moist dung contains salts and minerals, and the butterflies are "puddling" to get at these nutrients. They will similarly swarm around the edge of puddles as well, hence the name of the behavior.

Fruit flies or something in my closet!?

So the other day I noticed a couple of little gnat-like bugs in my closet and today I opened it up and there are a few dozen of them in there now! After some searching I found an orange that my baby sister had left in my closet a while ago. There are fruit fly/gnat things everywhere! How do I get rid of them quickly?

Taking care of a bed bug problem before pest control arrives.?

My roommates discovered what appears to be a small bed bug infestation in their room; we have a professional coming to confirm the severity our troubles and spray around the suite tomorrow, but my friends and I have been at a disagreement for a few days about care for the suite before (s)he arrives.

We found a scab on my kitten's ear, and she's been scratching more than usual(though we can't locate any others), and fear she may have been bitten because she loves curling up on their couch to take naps. She isn't allowed in their bedroom, and they spend equal time between the two pieces of furniture, so we feel that if she really has been bitten, there may be some bugs in the couch(probably more than just the one couch by now, but I have been checking myself for bites and so far nothing, nor any signs of activity/feces on my couch or in my bedroom just yet).

I want to vacuum and steam clean the hell out of everything at the moment. However, my roommates have been doing little to nothing in terms of care(aside from decluttering), claiming that anything we try doing now will only scare the bed bugs and push them into new hiding places and make it harder for the professional to do his job. Is this true, or should the clean up begin immediately?

Is flour with bugs in it safe to eat?

Those are probably weevils. Though kind of gross, I think they are pretty harmless if you eat them. Freezing your flour will kill them and the eggs. I've also heard putting bay leaves in your flour will help keep them away. However, once you have a bunch of weevils, they easily and quickly spread to other stuff in your pantry like dried beans and other flours. You may want to ditch your batch and clean out your cabinets and look in the other containers to make sure you don't have more weevils.
