I Took An Adderall And I Don

I took 80 mg of adderall xr and don t feel much?

Please no judgement I m genuinely concerned and confused. I m a small female who has only taken adderall a few times when I was in desperate situations in school. The most I ve ever taken is forty mg and that made me throw up. The last time I took adderal was like a month ago and it was only 20 and it still made me throw up. So this time I took forty because it was the only capsule I could get and I took it with food which I know delays your reaction but even after awhile I barely felt much. Then I split another one and took half then took the other half later. I still don t feel much which makes no sense. I can t have a tolerance and my stomach is empty now. But this has never happened. Why would this happen? I mean I m more focused yes but that s really it. I don t even feel my heartbeat beating fast or anything. It s just weird because I took so much.

I took adderall now I can't sleep!?

hmm i dont take them pills i use to because i have adhd but i dont take pills or anything for it but maybe try running back and fourth or up and down the stairs or something or take a warm shower and just lay down and maybe you will fall asleep im always wide awake at night i always feel tired everynight but my body dont want me to sleep at all its weird hope i could help

Yesterday I took an Adderall (I don't have ADD) and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was wired up like you'd expect but I took another and it didn't have near the same effect. Why would that happen?

Adderall is the one ADHD medication that is similar to illicit amphetamines as the uptake can lead to a euphoric state of being and a physical rush. You did not state the dosage. As this was your first use of Adderall, you experienced the full potential results. If you did a second pill within 6 hours of the first, you probably extended the buzz, but did not enhance it as you would have experienced the maximum rush. If you meant that you took a pill the next day, and felt nothing it could imply a quickly developing tolerance--this is normal, although too quick in your case. You may have high expectations and became disappointed with the results, diminishing the experience. You may have been tired, or lethargic, this limits the effect of any amphetamine. Was there alcohol involved the first time? Booze can enhance any amphetamine. I have a prescription for Adderall and have noticed diminishing returns after about a week of use. I rotate my ADHD because of this. Generally, if you do amphetamines for pleasure you need a day or two between dosages, and may need to increase the dosage regularly to maintain the state you enjoy.

Is adderall bad for you if you don't have adhd?

One of my friends offered me an adderall because we had like 4 test in one day at school. i took it early in the morning and felt it around first period. All day i was talking CRAZY fast and kept playing with my lip with my hands and kept just moving my hands all the time and being nervous with my body. i got maybe a little tiny bit dizzy but not much i had dry mouth and was super hyper and restless. but during my classes i was so focused on my work and almost like HAPPY to be doing my school work and i was finishing **** soo quick. and my personality changed like i was super nice to everyone and genuienly concerned how they were.
I just wanna kno if me taking it without having add or adhd will have any permanent effects like continued twiching or nervouseness of my hands or personality change even when im not taking it for a while. because im me i wanna be me but i wanna be able to do good in school to. PLEASE any information would be greatly apreciated

If you don't have ADD or ADHD then what are the effects of Adderall on someone in terms of academics?

It may or may not help--one medication or the other. There are various forms, but ritalin/methylphenidate is your standard option, while the older, longer lasting, stronger amphetamine (adderall) is the other. Everyone reacts differently to every drug, though, so this question can't be answered in advance. Be aware, though, that any stimulant causes additional wear on the heart--this used to be considered a marginal concern, but is no longer so, so be aware there is a negative health risk there (you can reduce the heart side-effects through taking methamphetamine (legal but extremely rarely prescribed), but it's unlikely you'll obtain it, and it is, for some reason, often dangerously addictive in a way the other drugs mentioned here usually are not (but it IS still easier on your heart). It's not true that stimulants only help concentration in those with ADD (though the chances are much better, there), but the only way to know is trial and error. If you take this path, start with a low dose (no 'normal' party doses of 60-100mg of adderall. Uh. Uh. Heart. Plus, then you're not medicating. You're just on drugs), and remember beforehand that it might work, and the medications are relatively free of dangerous effects if not overdosed--but you just might be burning out your heart 20 or 50 percent faster (or more), every time you take a pill. A healthy EKG beforehand would be a sensible precaution.

Am I going to die??? I took 30 mg of adderall HELP?

the highest recommended dosage of adderall is 35 mg's. I don't think 30 is enough to kill you or cause serious brain damage, but don't make a habit out of doing that.

Also, quit worrying so much, that has a better chance of lowering your life expectancy than taking a few too many mg's of a prescription medication.

Dizziness is a common side affect of the drug too.

Should I tell my recruiter I take/took Adderall?

Odd how many here are promoting someone to knowingly withhold, misrepresent or provide false information.
What happened to integrity?
For the "access to medical records" - The SF86 every military applicant completes includes a page where you authorize release of your records in compliance with the HIPAA act.
Whether or not the military gets them is another issue, but you authorize them access to your mental health records with that form...basically, if they need it they can get it. But, they will usually rely on you to provide medical records yourself since you're the one trying to prove you are qualified.
Now, if you're lying from beginning to end, you can probably get away with it. If so, you can go work with the ones who told you to lie...birds of a feather flock together, so they say.
Do the right thing.

Why should you always take Adderall with food?

Not a medical professional*I have been prescribed to Adderall for nearly 5 years. Both 10mg instant release and 15mg extended release. From my experience, although not eating does cause faster absorption and in my experience does give more of a euphoric feeling than when taken with food, I would still not recommend it.Not eating can cause a headache and because one of the most common side effects is a decreased appetite, you are less likely to eat in the afternoon. To eliminate (nearly) all the negative side effects, drink plenty of water and have a little food in your stomach. Even if you don't want to. Drink at least two bottles of water. Not only have I noticed that this eliminates the headache but it also enhances Adderall's desired effects.Regards,Ian Brown
