I Took Testosterone At 14 And I

Testosterone boosters at 14?

Dude, you're 14. You have a crapload of testosterone and hormones.

You're going to do what you want to do, but at your age, you don't need anything to help you along. That stuff is meant for middle aged guys, and, even then, I doubt they actually work. The only real thing that would help are prescription steroids, and, again, you're 14 and don't need them right now.

You're also not that big. You're tall, but you're a twig. You're a good six inches taller than me and only 10 pounds heavier. You need food, and you need a good workout regimen. Your friend likely works out much harder than you, and has a better routine.

Again, do what you wanna do, but you're a twig, and at 6'4, you have to eat A LOT to get bigger. There are no magic pills to make you stronger.

Also keep in mind that with your height, you likely have much longer arms and legs than your peers. This is simple physics. When you bench, squat, dead lift, your longer limbs require you to move the weight further than a shorter person. This requires more effort. Naturally, you'll be lifting less weight then someone who is under six feet. However, your awesome height gives you huge advantages outside the weight room. Ignore raw numbers man! You're not built to be a weight lifter!

That's not to say you shouldn't lift, but you have an advantage that not many people have. If I had the choice to dead lift 500 or be 6'4, I'd take being tall any day of the week.

What would happen if I took testosterone injections?

Testosterone has nothing to do with maturity. In fact, an excessive amount of testosterone causes immaturity. You would become more pumped and aggressive. You'd gain an ego and become more competetive. Only reason to inject testosterone is to regain lost/missing testosterone

Can a 13 year old ftm take testosterone?

It's against all professional guidelines for a doctor to prescribe it to you until age 16, but mostly because of risk you'll change your mind, or will want to have kids or something. Health wise, of course there are risks. You can go through puberty too fast and end up with fused bones (done growing), acne, and a full beard at 14 years old, which won't exactly help you blend in with the guys
.
If you take testosterone without medical supervision, you run these risks:
too high levels resulting in polycythemia, which can be fatal
without bloodwork before hand, you will not know if you happen to already have high levels of T.
missing a prolactinoma or other testosterone sensitive cancer which you would be accidentally feeding
fast puberty
permanent infertility
acne
muscle problems from rapid growth
if you get it from a bad source, it may be contaminated, which at best could give you infections, and at worse would give you a dose of some other drug, which may have all sorts of effects, up to and including death
because it's illegal, you could go to jail and anybody who helped you could too
you will be outing yourself to everyone
your libido is likely to go through the roof (which may happen at 13 anyways)
you may have roid rage

If you have parental consent, at age 13 doctors can and hopefully will put you on lupron, which is a medication that stops your gonads (in this case ovaries) from doing anything. That means you would not menstruate (no period), you would not have further breast growth (they might or might not shrink), and you would probably grow taller because your puberty would be on hold. Then when you are 16 you could go on testosterone. Or you could decide you wanted to keep waiting (stay on lupron a little longer), or that you wanted a female body (in which case you'd just stop and your gonads would start working again).

14 year old taking testosterone?

to be honest, its not me, its my friend's kid brother. He's a late bloomer, and he says that most of his friends are through puberty, and he just wants to kick start it. (he's in high school, lots of pressure to have that kind of body, i assume.)
he just wants a second opinion, and im interested to see what everyone says.

What would happen if a 14 year old took testosterone pills?

Testosterone carries some cancer risk. Don't take it if you don't need it.

If I take testosterone at the end of puberty, will I get taller?

No. It may well have the opposite effect, in fact. What causes growth to stop is the closing of the ‘growth plates’ on the end of skeletal bones - areas at the end of the bone at which new growth can take place. Once these close, the length of the bone becomes permanently fixed. What triggers this to happen is rising estrogen levels - this is why females are usually smaller than males, since they develop higher estrogen levels earlier. Estrogen is regarded as a ‘female’ hormone BUT men have estrogen too, at lower levels - testosterone breaks down into estrogen (And other hormones) through a process called ‘aromatisation’.SO: more testosterone leads to more estrogen, which will cause bone growth to shut down earlier and more completely.Testosterone, as a anabolic hormone, WILL cause more muscle growth - but it will do nothing to increase height and skeletal size, and will actually contribute to stunting your growth if this hasn't already finished. Please take good medical advice before messing around with hormones, especially as a teenager that hasn't finished developing yet. What your parents think isn't what's important here - you need a competent Doctor with a good grasp of endocrinology.
