I Try To Send Out Email Through My Iphone Mail Shows Yahoo Server Does Not Work Now Email Can Not

My Iphone cannot connect to yahoo server?

You must create an app sensitive password for your IPhone mail app to make your yahoo mail work on your IPhone after password change. Log into your yahoo account. In the right corner click on your profile and then click the gear where you can access your profile page. Go ahead now and delete your yahoo account on the iPhone, and re-enter your email address but not the password. Enter everything but the password. Now, in your yahoo account profile on your computer, scroll down to Manage your app passwords, and click app password. When that page comes up, in the blank provided, name it my iphone and hit enter and up will come a bunch of letters. That is your app sensitive password and that is the password you enter into the iphone as a password to get the yahoo mail to work in the iphone app. You can also download the yahoo iphone mail app, and it works even better than the iphone app.

Iphone - I cannot send yahoo email from my (UK o2) iphone?

Iphone - I cannot send yahoo email from my (UK o2) iphone?

I am able to receive email to my yahoo account but I cannot send email. I get the following message (please see below)

Cannot Send Mail
The connection to the outgoing server "(null)" failed.

I have tried with a test GMail account and it works fine.

The only thing I can think of now is that my yahoo account is quite old, it is XXXXX@yahoo.com and I have had it for about 10 years. I think this might have something to do with it as I have tested it with a newer yahoo test account (as created by Apple for test purposes) and it also worked fine.

Please help

Thanks.

Email send problem on Yahoo and iPhone?

I can't get my email to send on my iPhone. I have a yahoo account with an @sbcglobal.net. This comes with my AT&T dsl service. When I set up the email account on the iPhone using the Add Account/YMail option everything works well and I can get validated. I can also receive mail. However I CANNOT send mail. The iPhone goes through the normal motions of sending and I hear the sound of mail being sent. However the mail is not actually sent. I've checked this with numerous email addresses and it just doesn't work.
I've seen answers here where the suggestion is to make sure your name is entered exactly as it is listed on my Yahoo account. I've done that too and it still doesn't work.
I can get it to work if I activate the account via the Add Account/Other option and enter in the pop and smtp mail servers. However, doing it this way does not allow push email.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I cannot send Yahoo! email through my iPhone, anyone have the solution yet? Apple and Yahoo are clueless!?

I am neither as smart, nor rich, as those folks at Apple, but I did want to take a second to clarify and maybe even fine tune your statement of the problem.
Background: There are two ways that most computer users get email. First, they can use an internet based email service, like Yahoo or Gmail, to directly access their mail over the internet. So you start your browser, go to Yahoo.com, click Mail, and bada-bing. The second way is to have an integrated email package on the device that is configured with id, password, POP server, blahblahblah, and it contacts the back end service, retrieves the data and then stores it on your device for later viewing by the integrated email package.
If your problem is the first, you're probably having a problem with the new Safari browser that comes with the iPhone. The Safari browser has been optimized for extending battery life, and in order to accomplish this, they left off some applet and plugin support. This may be where your problem lies.
If so, an alternative question (which I do not have an answer for) may be, Does anybody know how I can install a different browser on my iPhone?
If you have the second problem, using the integrated email function, the alternate answer is to use those Yahoo Plus features with that function. It sounds like you may have the POP setting correct, but your SMTP server needs adjusting. Contact your cellular provider and get this from them, but it’s probably something like 'mail.your-cellular-provider-name.net'.
Let me add one last warning: if it is case two, and you plan on reading your email on another device as well, make sure the iPhone email software is configured to leave a copy of the message on the server.

Yahoo mail not sending mail?

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send recieve delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.

How do you fix Yahoo Mail that is not receiving email?

Hi there! Not getting the emails you expect is frustrating. Can't send yahoo email?

Often you might notice that you are not receiving any emails or your emails are not going through. If you have configured your account on a mobile device or in an ipad always make sure the POP and IMAP server in your account are enabled. If these two are turned off in your account then this problem could be because of this. To check this server settings you just have to log into your account and go to forwarding option under the settings. Sometimes even if these are enabled you might still encounter the send or receive error, well in that case it’s the yahoo server problem. No service provider would want their users to encounter this problem, do not worry the technicians are working to resolve it as soon as possible. You just have to wait for some and keep checking up your account it might start working anytime soon. Even after a couple of hours of wait you still have the same problem, calling the customer service would be a great help.

These are some of the common problems encountered with a yahoo email account. Adding a phone number with the account is always a wise decision.

How can I send email from yahoo through outlook for my business account?

If you want to use yahoo as POP a/c, you need either download from ypopsemail.com, or Mail Plus paid service from Yahoo.
Install YPOPs! and make sure it is running.
Open Outlook Express.
Select Tools | Accounts... from the menu in Outlook Express.
Click Add and select Mail....
Type your name.
Click Next >.
Enter your Yahoo! Mail address ("hmmzl34@yahoo.com", for example).
Click Next > again.
Make sure POP3 is selected under My incoming mail server is a ___ server..
Enter "localhost" under Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:.
If "localhost" does not work, try "127.0.0.1" instead.
Type "localhost" under Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: as well.
If "localhost" does not work, again try "127.0.0.1" instead.
Click Next >.
Type your Yahoo! Mail user name under Account name:.
The user name is your Yahoo! Mail address sans "@yahoo.com".
In this example, the user name is "hmmzl34".
Enter your Yahoo! Mail password under Password:.
Click Next >.
Click Finish.
Highlight localhost in the Internet Accounts window.
Click Properties.
Type "Yahoo! Mail" under Mail Account.
Click OK.
Click Close.
Useful YPOPs! Options
I recommend you also double-click the YPOPs! system tray icon to change a number of useful settings. You can make YPOPs! ignore messages in the Bulk Mail folder of your Yahoo! Mail account, for example, tell it not to mark downloaded messages as read or have YPOPs! put a copy of outgoing mail in your Yahoo! Mail Sent Items folder.

Sent emails not showing in Sent folder?

You did not supply enough information to properly answer your question, but I am going to try anyway. If you send the mail from your iPhone, it will show up on the iPhone as sent. The reason why is that your iPhone is keeping a copy. It is very unlikely it will show up from your internet browser because your iPhone is using an SMTP server to send your mail. Your browser uses an HTML interface with the mail to send mail. These different types of protocals will be reflected differently on your browser. If you send mail from your browser you will see the file in the sent folder, but you should not see it on your iPhone.
