I Twisted My Ankle Early This Morning A Few Hours Ago Started To Feel Discomfort

I slipped a few hours ago and twisted my ankle...?

It may be fractured, get it checked out as soon as you can. My mother slipped on uneven blacktop and had 3 fractures, but didnt go to the doctor soon enough, and had to have some surgeries on it. Now, two years later, it has finally been back to normal for her.
Just get it checked out please. :)

Rest:
The first 24-48 hours after the injury is considered a critical treatment period and activities need to be curtailed. Gradually put as much weight on the involved ankle as tolerated and discontinue crutch use when you can walk with a normal gait (with minimal to no pain or limp).
Ice:
For the first 48 hours post-injury, ice pack and elevate the ankle sprain 20 minutes at a time every 3-4 hours. The ice pack can be a bag of frozen vegetables (peas or corn), allowing you to be able to re-use the bag.
Another popular treatment method is to fill paper cups with water then freeze the cup. Use the frozen cube like an ice cream cone, peeling away paper as the ice melts. Do NOT ice a ankle sprain for more than 20 minutes at a time!! You will not be helping heal the ankle sprain any faster, and you can cause damage to the tissues!
Compress:
Use compression when elevating the ankle sprain in early treatment. Using an Ace bandage, wrap the ankle from the toes all the way up to the top of the calf muscle, overlapping the elastic wrap by one-half of the width of the wrap. The wrap should be snug, but not cutting off circulation to the foot and ankle. So, if your foot becomes cold, blue, or falls asleep, re-wrap!
Elevate:
Keep your ankle sprain higher than your heart as often as possible. Elevate at night by placing books under the foot of your mattresses--just stand up slowly in the morning.

Twisted my ankle earlier. Possibility it'll get worse?

Long story short, didn't have a great morning. I was in a bad mood, and I had to run to catch a bus. I ran up on a curb on the side of the street I was on and was about to go back down when my foot twisted pretty harshly to the right. It hurt VERY badly, but I couldn't miss that bus, so I hobbled my way up to the door. It hurt for a while after and soon stopped, but on my way back home it started hurting very badly again. Now it pops whenever I wiggle it or try to move it. My right foot already pops on sometimes when I walk, but today when that happens, it's much louder.
Should I try to ice it or something in case it gets worse? I have a meeting to go to later today.

My ankle hurts to walk on or rotate, but I didn't twist it?

I've heard of ankle sprains that bother a person for years. Just follow all of these directions that you can and if it gets worse, maybe consult a doctor. Feel better. : )

The early treatment of a ankle sprain is the "RICE" method of treatment. If you are unsure of the severity of your ankle sprain, talk to your doctor before beginning any treatment or rehab. The following is an explanation of the RICE method of treatment for ankle sprains:

More severe ankle sprain injuries, including complete tears of the ligaments and fractures of the bone may need different treatment and rehab than a simple ankle sprain. It is important that you see your doctor before beginning treatment or if your symptoms do not steadily improve over time.

Why is my ankle in pain in the morning?

Ankle pain may result from injuries such as fractures, sprains, or strains. It may also result from arthritis or overuse. Some common treatments for different types of ankle problems are splinting for fractures, RICE therapy for swelling or pain, range-of-motion and stretching exercises, and more. Follow the links below to find WebMD's comprehensive coverage about how ankle pain is caused, how to treat it, and much more. Morning ankle pain happens usually through overuse or extra weight. It alleviates as you warm up and subsides as you start walking. An ankle pain is usually recommended to be prevented rather than treated. Maintain a healthy weight, avoid exercising or playing sports when you are tired or in pain, keep muscles strong by eating a well-balanced diet, try to avoid falling and tripping.

HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT :-

Take ARNICA MONTANA and RHUS TOX + BRYONIA all three in 200 potency take them together, once hourly till you start feeling relief after that just once a day will be enough. Trust me nothing and I repeat nothing works faster or is more effective or safer to take.
You will be doing fine within 24 hours.

Why is it every morning when I wake up my right ankle hurts?

Have you ever sprained your ankle before in the past, even once or twice? If so, your ankle might have not healed properly. If you've done it more than twice you may always have that pain there without some type of physical therapy. Depending on what type of pain you feel (ex: soreness, shooting pain, throbbing) it can be serious or nothing to worry about. I myself, have pain in my left ankle because it was severely sprained about 3 times. Now, whenever I walk for a long period of time or sometimes just when I wake up it hurts & then goes away after awhile. If you feel like it's something that you are really concerned about don't hesitate to get some xrays and talk to a doctor. My father went years without checking a pain in his ankle and he found he had lots of hairline fractors that never healed properly. Now there isn't much he can do. So I say, it's better to be safe than sorry.

What does it feel like to have a sprained ankle?

It hurts. For me, it is also embarrassing, frustrating and inconvenient. I fell off my bicycle at midday on Saturday and landed awkwardly on the road. I managed to stagger to the footpath using my bike as a crutch, but then had to sit on the curb for a few minutes because it hurt too much to do anything else. A passer-by stopped to ask if I needed help, but I was too focused on the pain to hear what he was saying and I thought it was merely a minor strain, so I waved him away. After a few minutes, I was able to get back on my bicycle and ride the 2km home, where I say down, put an ice-pack on my ankle, and elevated it. Even so, after half an hour, it was very swollen and I realised that it was in fact sprained. I bound it in a compression bandage, but by evening, I couldn't walk without crutches and a great deal of pain. Luckily, I had both crutches and serious pain killers handy, as I had surgery on my other foot only a couple of months ago. So although I knew that I should probably go to the emergency department and have it assessed, I instead took some pain killers and went to bed.In the morning, it wasn't any better, so I saw a GP. He approved my bandage, but said that it was so swollen and bruised that a fracture was quite likely, so I still needed to go to ED and get an x-ray. I did: happily, it isn't fractured. The ED staff told me it would take about 6 weeks to heal and referred me for physiotherapy, to start after a week or so.By Sunday evening (the evening of the day after the injury), I was able to walk with a limp, but no crutches. This means it is at the mild to moderate end of a grade II sprain, I think. After a few days, the swelling started going down and purple bruises appeared all over my foot and toes. The bruises aren't particularly sore, but the area that is still swollen is still quite sore, especially when I do anything as taxing as tackle a staircase. The photos below show what the foot looks like today, Friday, almost a week after the sprain. It could have been much worse. Severe sprains can cause permanent injury. There's some more practical information about ankle sprains, severity grading, and treatment herehttp://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic....
