I Used Color Oops And It Made My Hair An Even Lighter Orange

Hair color remover turned my hair orange?

Yes. Pay attention to the base letter of the colors you are dying your hair. For example, red or R (opposite of green on color wheel) will neutralize ashy tones. B or V (blue or violet) bases will get rid of brassy and orange tones. Etc.

If you want your hair brown, and it's orange, use a protein filler. You can find it at a beauty supply store. Either mix it with color, or apply it prior to coloring in order to ensure that your hair absorbs the color.

If you're still confused, let me know what color your hair is now, and what color you want it to be, and i can help you from there. ;P

Does color Oops works on bleached hair?

Shading Oops evacuates color utilizing hydrosphere. Hydrosphere influences the color in your hair to water dis solvable, with the goal that it will wash out. Since fade evacuates regular shade, and isn't a color, it will have no impact. It won't supplant the melanin you crushed.

How to use color oops and will it damage your hair?

A year ago I dyed my hair black (which is my natural color ) and I haven't dyed it sence then. I want to dye it light brown but I do not want to bleach it! A girl told me to use color oops. What does color oops do? Will it work on black hair ? Will it damage my hair ? And how do you use it?

Does 'Color Oops Hair color remover' really work?

okay so i dye my hair yesterday, a dark gold blond but didn't really turn out good, the top of my hair is bright and in the bottom is dark sort of looks like the same color i had before (in the bottom) so i really want to get it off asap. i want to know if color oops really works or not? some people say it does and some say it turns your hair orange, please help, Thanks.

I dyed my hair black from blonde, and I hate it. How can I lighten it up without bleaching my hair again?

I had this same problem.  I've been colouring my hair black for the past year or so but wanted to go back to blonde (my natural hair colour).  But I did not want to a) fry my hair and b) walk around with an orange head!So what I did is this:First step: I went to the hairdresser to add some highlights to my black hair.  The highlights came out a somewhat "goldie" colour and simply lifted the black a bit, yet it did not look too intense, especially after a few washes (as it would have if I bleached my whole head).  So I could still go out in society without looking like a clown.  LOL!  Second step: I waited 3-4 weeks (to give my hair time to recover)Third step: After 3 weeks I put hair colour remover to my hair (NOT the type which has peroxide in it - the type which only removes hair colour).  I don't think the product matters that much - as long as it does not contain peroxide.  Also, go for one that says maximum strength.  The colour remover made a big difference and lightened the black areas to a golden brown colour, while the highlights remained in tact.  So at the moment I'm not yet fully blonde but I now have golden brown hair colour with highlights.  My next step is to wait another 2-3  weeks and then add some more colour remover (or, alternatively, go back to the hairdresser and add some more highlights) to lighten it up even more. The reason I did the highlights first was because the colour remover does have the effect of giving your hair a slightly orangey tone.  But that is counteracted by the highlights (which stays in tact even after using the colour remover).  I also added some toner to my hair to counteract the orange.I think no matter what you do, if you want to lighten your hair from black, you will end up with orange/golden tones so the key is to change it mildly, step by step so that it won't look too intense.

Will an ash blonde cancel out the red /orange in my hair after using oops color remover? Will it turn green?

You will need to get a blue based ash, a green base WILL leave you with greenish/gray hair, since it’s reasonable to assume it’s damaged if you had to strip your hair. I made that mistake once. *shudders* It would make it greenish/gray. Good Luck.

Fixing my Hair -- Bleach & Color Oops. Advice?!?

The explanation is a little lengthy, but the question is pretty simple.

My hair is naturally a level 9 Ashy Blonde (It had not been this color for years since I color my hair regularly)
Usually I keep it bleached out to an 11 with funky color highlights (blue, pink, etc.)

In December, I decided it was time for a change and I made it all a level 1 BLACK.
I kept it that way up until last month, at that point I had about 2" of root, and was hoping to get back to something along the lines of my natural color, or a bleach blonde look.

I went to a salon, and got my hair bleached, they told me it was against their policy to leave bleach on for more than 30 minutes (which is total crap, and wasted $75)
I was at about 5 or 6, with MANY old colors resurfacing, so the salon filled me with a temp brown.
They told me to wait 3 weeks or so before I bleached again.

My hair's always been pretty tolerant so I waited two weeks, and bleached it again myself. I guess it's at about a 7 or an 8 now.

PROBLEM: My hair is orange/yellow. BRIGHT.

(my roots are white, but that's my fault, and really fixable)
I don't want to bleach it again, because I think that'll just kill my hair, as it's still pretty soft now.

QUESTION: I want to try the product "Color Oops" ( or Colorfix) since I've heard it strips all the color (in theory back down to your natural color)
I know I can't get back to my natural color since that's all bleached out, but **I want to know if this product will take the awful yellow/orange out and leave me with bleach blonde hair**

Has anyone used this product in a similar manner? Thoughts anyone? Let me know what you think!

PS: I plan to fill the "result" of the post-color oops process with a light blonde..

Color remover didn't work on my hair!?! Please help.?

I've died my hair pitch black for about four years now. My natural hair color is a dark brown. A month and a half ago I tried putting a blonde box dye on my hair to lighten up the black but it only died my roots a light brown. When I went to the salon to get it fixed they only made the roots even lighter, promising to lightening the rest the next time. I don't trust them. So I purchased Color Fix, a hair lightened that is suppose to strip off any dyes. The product says to do it twice. Now I'm stuck with dark brown roots, an inch of super golden brown roots, and then the rest of my hair is dark brown to black. MY QUESTION IS... Should I purchase bleach to get all the color out, especially out of the one inch of super light hair. Or purchase the Color fix again and only apply to bottom half of hair. I'm going for a light golden brown. Or even blonde. I need help! Thanks!

Can Color Oops remove toner?

Toner is regular haircolor in a light shade. Color doesn’t remove color. Here’s a formula for a clarifying treatment that will safely remove haircolor, swimmer’s green and hard water minerals (calcium and magnesium) from the hair. All these things oxidize and attach to the hair. Reduction is the opposite of oxidation. Reduction will cause the oxidized coating to literally fall off, without damage. Please don’t use baking soda or bleach. That’s the same as using sandpaper.Fruit Fresh contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Vitamin C is an antioxidant that stops the oxidation reaction that causes fresh fruit and vegetables to turn brown. Vitamin C will also reduce an oxidized coating on the hair. This treatment is completely safe and will not damage the hair.Fruit FreshClarifying Shampoo with EDTA1. Mix 1 ounce of Fruit Fresh with 1 ounce of water to make a liquid.2) Add 1 ounce of Clarifying Shampoo and mix well.3) Shampoo and towel dry hair3) Apply Clarifying Treatment.4) Cover hair with plastic bag with more than one hole5) Place under hooded dryer, use hand dryer or heat cap.6) Process under heat for 15 minutes.7) Rinse and shampoo with Clarifying Shampoo8) Condition and style. This treatment will reduce haircolor to colorless compounds, but the color may return within 24 hours unless it’s also removed from the hair by the Clarifying Shampoo with EDTA.
