I Used Old Eyeliner And Now My Eyes Hurt

My eyes hurt when I put an eyeliner on...?

I always had this problem. I'm 16 and I love eyeliners!
When I put an eyeliner on, it feels fine for few minutes but then my eyeballs start to hurt. It's not like the pain is unbearable but I can feel it (I only wear it once or twice a week). The worst happens when I move my eyeballs (up and down, left to right)
It only hurts. There is no swelling, itching or redness.
SO I started using eyeshadow as an eyeliner. It still hurts.
No matter what kind of eyeliner or eyeshadow I use it still hurts
Could I be allergic or something? (I have no other allergies at all)
Should I try this one?

Will it hurt my eye if i get eyeliner in my eyes?

you're able to attempt utilising a different variety of eyeliner, my eyes are too gentle for pencil eyeliners, so in many cases i exploit liquid liner or a liquid pen for the actual lid and a retractable eyeliner (which has a softer factor than a pencil liner) for the backside. you additionally can use a matte black eye shadow particularly of eyeliner, which i in specific situations do. Smudge it slightly, then in case you do no longer prefer the smudgy look, heavily wipe off any extra with a moistened q-tip wish that helped :]

My eyeliner is hurting my eyes?

There are a couple of approaches you might have got this response. a million. You might have got an allergy to it. two. You might have got a small fragment of the wooden from the pencil on your eye. (My sister bought a splinter in her eye as soon as from her eyeliner.) three. You might be constructing an contamination from the eyeliner. I recognise you already know this, however only a reminder - on no account ever percentage eye make-up. You will have to wait till the next day to come to look a health care provider, for the reason that it might be whatever that's now not very severe. But till then, ice will ease the affliction.

Eyeliner made my eyes hurt....HELP?

Last night, I went to a Halloween dance, and wanted to be dead, so i borrowed my friend's eyeliner( i now know not to share makeup) and put it on. I got pretty close like she said( i dont normally use makeup) and made a pretty thick line. When i got home, i washed it out with this stuff that im not allergic to, but now, it hurts to blink or anyting in my left eye.

BTW< I have very sensitive skin and I am allergic to alot of skin products, etc.

What should i do to make it stop hurting? I dont know if i am allergic to it, but i only have it in one eye. I didnt notice getting any on my eye.

HELP

My eyeliner is hurting my eyes!!! helpppp?

Your eyes are only red and sore the morning after? My first recommendation would be to make sure that you are removing your make up properly before bed. Face wipes, don't always remove every bit of eye make up. Sleeping in eyeliner or mascara will cause irritation for most people. Also, make sure that your make up is in date, it's not something that we often think about but bacteria does build up on our mascara wands, eyeliner pencils, lipsticks etc.

But it sound like you have sensitive eyes. It's like someone with sensitive skin getting a rash after their clothing is washed in a new fabric conditioner. It's a reaction to a single or multiple ingredients.

I have the same problem. Even when using hypo-allergenic brands such as Clinique, I always seem to have a reaction. Try brands that have a 'natural' approach, such as The Body Shop or a mineral make up company that stay away from fillers and unnecessary chemicals.

Is eyeliner bad for your eyes?

not t all(: ive been putting on eyeliner for two years and i put alot on too so i should know lol but i recomend going with pencil for a while, then crayon, then liquid but seperate each by a few months. i honestly like liquid the best because it doesnt go under your eyes and last longer. i would recomend get a thicker brush though becails i see ones that are like as wide as a thread and those are crappy onse. try a brush looking like this:

It's just extra skin. When putting color on your crease you put it in your actual crease right beneath your brow bone. Some people apply a crease color lower because their eyes are very hooded and their eyelids don't show as much but your eyes aren't really hooded so apply the crease color where you can feel that slight dip between your brow bone and eyeball. As far the actual lids, you can try using the Asian double eyelid tape or double eyelid glue. This helps lift the skin and make the lid more visible. Some people(who done have monolids like yourself) find using double eyelid tape can sort of train the eyelids in the sense that…won't need to use them anymore.(downside is the tape can be obvious depending on the brand) Personally I used double eyelid tape on one eye cause my lid was smaller but now it's quite the same size so I don't have to use it anymore. This is a pic of someone who used double eyelid glue I believe, you can see how it can help make the lid bigger but with your eyes it can help smooth that skin on the lid but sort of tucking it into your natural crease. It should also help make the eyeliner show up better. If not, you can try applying eyeliner with your eyes open rather than closed. When you apply eyeliner when it's closed, when you open you may find you applied it where the skin covers it.

By using a darker shade.Personally, I’ve found that a navy blue has really worked to make my brown eyes pop.If you wear a bright shade of green or blue, all you accomplish is people going “Wow! That eyeliner is really bright!”I’m guessing that is not the look you’re going for.So if you prefer to use a green, go for a forest or dark green. Anything else is trying too hard.

Why do my eyes hurt when I use eyeshadow?

You might not be allergic to it, so try this and see if it works.

I found out that having eyeliner on helps to keep the eyeshadow out of my eyes. It's also a good idea to put a primer base on before the eyeshadow. Not only does it hold the powder in place and out of your eyes, it makes it last all day/night! Some eyeshadows come with this primer already in the case, like Revlon's Photo Ready eyeshadow.

Give it a try and I bet you it will help.

You could try using eyeshadow instead, as long as you don't have an allergic reaction to that.Just use a thin, stiff brush to apply a darker color along your lash line. I find that it's helpful to dampen the brush before picking up the eyeshadow with it, to get a smoother, more creamy application. But if you're having allergic reactions to your eyeliners, you should definitely stop using them before you side serious damage to your eyes.
