Apartment vs. Dorm room?
An apartment will suite your best. You'll regret it though if you get a dorm. Take a break and suite yourself a little bit. In a dorm room its like your living in a cave with another person!A bathroom would be nice because you wouldn't have to share and wait for the other one. A closet would help, you wouldn't get your clothes messed up in a pile. More space equalls more happiness:) Thats my opinion. Good luck and farewell.

Roommate wants her boyfriend to stay for two weeks. We live in a small dorm with only one room with both of our beds. I'm fine with 3-4 days but 2 weeks is a little much. How do I tell this to her without causing trouble?
This kind of conflict between two roommates' needs is *likely* to cause “trouble” if only because it sounds like you want something different than Roommate does. Listen: your needs and your boundaries are valid. It's a good idea to tell roommate, what you just said above.For instance, “Hey Roommate, I'm comfortable with Boyfriend staying for a few days, but it's a tiny space we live in! And I don't wanna be in “date space” with the two of you for two whole weeks. Let's brainstorm other options, or discuss boundaries and accommodations so we can try to get everyone as comfortable as possible.”I recommend thinking about what you're willing to allow and what you're not. For just one example, it's totally reasonable to say, “I need y'all not to have sex while I'm trying to sleep.” (this was a mistake I made in college, sorry, Jason's roommate!) In exchange for that, maybe you could offer to vacate the room for a two-three hour block during not-sleeping times.If I knew y'all I would ask a lot of questions about the kinds of resources each of you has, but I guess the main thing is that you have equal claim to the room and to ask roommate to work with you on accommodations for you to be as comfortable as possible. My roommate is nice and all...but she never leaves the room as long as she doesn't have class. I usually wouldn't care but its really frustrating because I never can get any alone time. I juggle friends, my boyfriend, and class so when I get back to my dorm I really wanna just unwind by myself but she's always there. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm barely at my dorm because I'm always doing something so when I come back tired and spent...she's there. All day and night. Everyday. I'm going crazy. Is this normal?

I have a history of bad room mates and im sick of just shutting my mouth and dealing with the messes and crap. I just want to get a single. So that way i don't have to worry about someone else invading my space. I went away for the weekend and when i got back the room was a disaester her stuff was all over my stuff (and she takes up 75% of the room, so that isn't an easy thing to do)...she also likes to stay up late watching movies when i need to go to sleep early because i have 8 ams everyday. Good question for me to answer! In fact this is a nice question! I once had the same problem because I was smoking secretly! I didn’t want my parents and sisters to know that am a weed smoker! Sometimes I could go far away in the forest to smoke but once I got high, I found myself sleeping in the bush! Or on my way coming from smoking, if I met anybody I could run and hide because I feared!One day as I was telling stories with my friends along the road we were just talking about weed and it’s effects and all the crazy things people do after smoking, then there passed a man who heard what we were talking about and by the time I was asking of something that can finish up the smell of weed while smoking, it was like the man was a godsend! He approached us and told me to go to supermarket and ask for what’s called WOODY! Written in another language ARAVINDA! This thing is not even expensive and it has a nice fuckiñ smell that finishes all any other bad smell in a closed room!When I bought this thing my friend, I tell you I am smoking even in my parents sitting room but they are just saying wow! Where did you get that aroma smell? I think you should always light it up everyday because that smell is nice, replied my mom. Not knowing at the same time am getting high!Go and search for this thing, and by the time you smoke, you must light it up and the smoke it’s producing is eating all the bad smell from weed!
