Cheap gaming computer?

well friend even though you mentioned that you wanted a "CHEAP' gaming PC it is quite necessary that you mention your intended budget. The "cheapest" custom build that I could recommend to you would probably be around $700 that could let you play all games on mid-high settings (complete gaming PC, I3-2100,H61 mobo,500gb hitachi HDD,8gb RAM,HD6770,500w corsair builder PSU, HAF912,dvd writer, logitech wireless K & M, windows 7 home premium OEM, acer 19.5"monitor -1600x900 resolution)

EDIT : @anonymous thanks for clearing that up =P

well if you don't know how to build one maybe you might have a friend who can do it for you and besides learning how to assemble a computer is pretty fun believe me, so try to watch tutorials at youtube (I did =P).

BUT if you're really not cut out to building your own or you don't have afriend to assist you with this then a pre-built one is indeed your only choice, since I don't know your intended budget then I'll just give you this link of cyberpower PC's at newegg and just choose the one that meets your budget:

Best cheap gaming computer?

I agree with one of the other respondents in that you should ideally look for refurbished but with a caveat. Ideally you want to deal directly with the main outlets like Dell and Apple. If you go through one of the main outlets for refurbished you end up with a much more trustworthy machine that is backed up with a full one year warranty. This if you weren't aware is the exact same warranty as all the new computers for sale at this time.

It totally takes the risk out of buying a refurbished gaming computer but gives the benefit of some decent savings. Even if you are hesitant to look into refurbished I would highly suggest reading some of the major reviews. As of late there are a number of highly regarded review sources that are now giving a big thumbs up to manufacturer refurbished.

What is the best place to buy a cheap gaming PC from?

If you want a cheap gaming PC, you might consider building one yourself. You can build a PC more powerful than an Xbox One or a PS4 (a console killer) for a little more than two hundred dollars. The first step in building your own computer: design it. There are multiple PC designing websites out there, but I prefer pcpartpicker.com. You can add all of the parts you need, which are:A CPUA graphics card (GPU)A motherboardA hard drive or a Solid State Drive (SSD)RAMA CPU coolerA Power supplyA caseThe great thing about Pc Part Picker is that it automatically finds the lowest prices for your components.I put together a model: Core i3-4160T 3.1GHz Dual-Core OEM/Tray, GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB, S340 (Black) ATX Mid TowerIf you don't like it you can tweak a few things. There are plenty of YouTube videos that can walk you through the building process, as it is hard to describe the building process by typing it on a keyboard. One thing to remember: When you insert your CPU into the motherboard, drop it gently. Don't push with too much force or it will break the motherboard and/or the CPU.Enjoy and good luck!

Best place to get a cheap gaming computer?

You are correct, you get much higher bang/buck with a desktop rather than a laptop. Plus desktops are upgradeable at any time.

Your BEST value comes from building a custom computer from scratch. But next to that, I recommend getting a custom computer from Cyber Power PC (their quality is a little higher than Ibuypower) and letting them do the assembly, testing etc. You can get an adequate gaming PC for about $800. With a $1000 budget you're in great shape.

The most important thing to remember is that for most games, it's your graphics card which primarily drives gaming performance, not your processor. People spending huge $$$ on the latest CPU then only having enough left for a $50 graphics card like a Radeon 5450 or GeForce 9400GT are shooting themselves in the foot. The highest-end CPUs are needed for people doing CAD/design work or heavy video editing, not for gaming.

Here are some good systems in your price range:

Or you can build a custom rig online (just don't forget to add your operating system):

What gaming PC should I get?

I am looking to get into PC gaming and because this is my first time I have no idea what I am looking for. I am wanting to spend no more than $750, but will exceed if necessary. The games I would play would vary so I am looking for something to support many different games of all sizes. Also what are some cheap gaming mouse and keyboards that are recommended.
