I Want A Really Good Birthday Party

I really dont wanna go to my friends birthday party tonight?

My friend is having a birthday party tonight,
But I really do not want to go at all. Mainly because all her friends are much younger than me, and I don't really know any of them, but they all know each other, and they're all friends with each other.
I went last year, and I was a complete third wheel, and it sucked.
She barely talked to me while I was there, and she's not the best friend to begin with.
She always leaves me out when we do this kind of thing, and I hate it.
I feel like I wouldn't be missed if I didnt go, and I really hate being In a social setting like that to begin with.
We haven't hunt out in forever because I've had a lot of family problems that I explained to her and she didn't even care.

Also, tomorrow morning at 8am, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out. So that's something I've been stressing an awful lot about. I just have a lot on my mind.
I feel like I always blow her off, but it's for
good reason. Today I just don't feel like having to deal with her or her friends.
I wanna just be home and relax with my family before this stupid surgery.
I bought her a present already. And I don't know when I can give it to her, but yeah.
Do you think I should go?
I don't know what I'm gonna tell her. But
Ive really just been dreading this party since she invited me.
Please help guys.
Thanks.

There are three types of friendships.Casual friendships,Good friends, andNot meant to be friends. If you relationship with the birthday friend is casual. No big deal. Go if you can. If you have a conflict, explain the issue and move on.If your relationship falls into category 3, this is a bit more complicated. No reason to openly show your dislike of this person. You can decline and make a non-specified excuse. “I have a prior commitment.” You don’t need to explain that commitment is eating pizza on your sofa while bing watching WestWorld. You don’t get along with this person, so feigning that you like being around them is not necessary. After a number of “no thanks” they will get the clue. Even if they find that your excuses are not convincing, what’s the worst that can happen?Them: “It’s like you make up these excuses because you don’t want to hang out with me?”You: “Um, you might be on to something there.”The important one is #2.Making friends is easy. Making and keeping good friends is rare. The journey from friend to good friend is tempered with trials and conflict. Whenever you care about another and spend enough time together, fights are inevitable. Jealousy, hurt feelings, inconsiderate behavior, miscommunication, unreturned favors, “MISSED BIRTHDAYS” are among the various intentional and unintentional interactions that test a relationship. There is not one lifelong friendship I maintain that hasn’t experienced a massive fight at one point. Sometimes the reconciliation is quick. Other times it takes time and effort to rebuilt the relationship. It’s work, but valuable and rewarding work. You use the word “my” in front of friend which is telling. There seems to be a current falling out with this friend. If you are not ready to get into the emotional and time-consuming process of airing your grievances now, you can excuse yourself from this birthday party. The important question is are you ready for this relationship to slip from #2 to #3?If you wish to hold on and give the relationship another chance, you will eventually need to confront your friend and talk it out. Quora must have a good question for that situation. Good luck.

1. Consider having separate spots for the grown-ups and the kidsA simple plan like that can double the rate of fun especially from the kids’ point of view. Give them their own space so that they can have fun to their heart’s content without having any sort of adult intervention.3. The secrets of the cakeThis is definitely a great game indeed if you can play it the right way.Make a host of tiny cupcakes or muffins and accompany the same with bowls of liquid chocolate, colored sugar, choco chips and so on. Then ask the kids to create their very own version of a small cake with the help of the aforementioned ingredients. The one that tastes the best wins.3. Go for a bouncy castle hireBouncy castles can be the heartbeat of your party if you can actually manage to get one for your kids. They can definitely increase the fun factor of your party by a notch or two.Kids want activities. And bouncy castles give them exactly what they want: “activity.” So as far as boredom is concerned, you are covered for sure.4. 5. Photo booths can also be a great ideaPhoto booths are fun and both the grown-ups and the kids can enjoy together as far as these beauties are concerned. These are more than capable of making a party memorable for a long time indeed.

Sleepovers are usually a safe bet for birthday parties. Do not invite too many people. I once had a birthday sleepover with over 10 friends. Nobody could keep up with the action and 3 people had mental breakdowns (including myself).During the day you couldGo roller skatingHave a spa dayPlay games (either have a console with enough controllers or tell everyone to bring their laptops)Hang out and watch movies or YouTubeGo to an escape roomPlay card games (CAH is always one of my favorites)Play mafia/truth or dare/never have I ever/2 truths and a lieGo to an arcadeTalk to each other/gossipDepending on the season you could go to the beach or play in the snow too.In the morning, make pancakes or buy donuts. In my previous experiences we just ate breakfast and watched whatever was on TV at the time. Oddly enough, we always ended up watching My Little Pony for the nostalgia.I personally didn't have a 15th birthday party because most of my friends didn't get along with each other and did not have the same interests. Be open with your friends and see what they would like to do. It's no use getting everyone together when nobody wants to really be there.

What are some great ideas for a 30th birthday party?

Turning 30 is a huge milestone and you definitely should celebrate big! How about thinking outside the box? Everyone can go to a fancy restaurant for a nice dinner, but how about you invite a chef to come and cook your meal? Or hit up a local culinary institute that also has an open kitchen? Paint Nite is a huge thing right now and you can set up a private event or sign up guests at a preplanned one. You bring your own alcohol and can get food, and end up having a wonderful experience painting. Or, perhaps you can plan a weekend away with some close friends. How about a balloon ride? Or even tickets to see a great theater production, including dinner and a nightcap. Concerts? Lots going on. But if you want to throw a party at home, take a look at the Oriental Trading Company online to check out themes, decorations etc. Maybe a belly dancer? Whatever you do, enjoy yourself!!!

What is a good and polite excuse for leaving a birthday party early?

Making an appearance, as a matter of respect, should last at least one hour. Then, anything you say that is polite, to excuse yourself, is supposed to be ok with everyone else.

"I have a doctor's appointment."
"I have company coming over soon."
"I am not feeling too well."
"I have another engagement."

Don't let anyone pry you for "more information" ... just apologize once again, and make a smooth exit while saying goodbye to the guest of honor and the host.

If you have alreayd accepted the invitation, you are really obligated to go unless there is a true emergency, even if you "don't feel like it". Remember, do unto others as you want done to you!

Best regards,
OC

Cool Teen Girl Birthday Party Ideas?

I am having my 14th birthday party soon and I want to do something original. Something that everyone will remeber forever! So far my ideas are a mall or town scavenger hunt, laser tag, paint-balling, scary movie in a tent, and skate park. I like all of these but they still don't seem bold enough. Im an emo/gothic girl but I can be girly and prissy to sometimes. People have also said spa day, 50's-80's night, pool party, ice skating, roller skating, bowling, and movies. I didnt like these as much as the others and I am not considering them so please don't repeat them!! People do that alot! Help me find a BOLD CRAZY party idea!! And also the rents have a money budget so keep it realistic please! I wanted to have a limo pick me and my friends up from school and take us to the mall and movies but way to much! I also wanted to go to a concert with my buds but the rents said that wouldn't only be my party but my gift also, so I marked that off the list. Eventhough that would be totally awesome! Please help out!!
