I Want Designing 3d Program

What is a good graphic designing program?

There are so many out there, just do a bit of research.
Autocad: More for engineering and architecture. It's not really a "3D" program per se, but it can do it
Inventor: More for engineering
3dsmax: 3D and animation
Cinema 4D: 3D and animation
Maya: 3D and animation
Lightwave: 3D and animation
Rhino: 3D and animation
Solidworks: 3D and animation
XSi: 3D and animation
Poser: 3D people
Daz 3D: 3D people

There's more out there. A LOT more. Just do some research and see what you like.

Want to start graphic design and 3D modelling?

You could start with free 3D programs like Blender or Anim8or. Blender is free but its GUI is not a newbie friendly. Anim8or have simple GUI but it's an old software (the latest version is 2008) that I high doubt it will get any update anymore, but it's quite alright for beginners to learn about 3D.

While for material, internet is your best friends. They are cheap (what is cheaper than free, right?) and you could get them easily (as easy as asking this question of yours). Just type "blender tutorial" or "anim8or tutorial".

There's also bunch of video tutorials in youtube.

What is more valuable to learn: programming, graphic design, or 3d animation?

It's a stereotypical view that Programming and Graphics Design don't go together. Well it's partly true and partly false. Spending more time on one skill implies spending less on the other, making you less competent. The primary reason for this is both are highly competitive. I myself, started coding during school days and it was in college when I devoted more attention to 3-D animation and modeling(courtesy: Digital Tutors). Since then, I've tried to maintain a balance between the two(not completely successful though).   Also, the beauty of programming and design together is a matchless beauty. Sometimes you'll face situations when the distinction between the two is blurred. Today, a programmer needs to understand and apply principles of graphic design in order to develop applications that are usable and attractive to the user. Likewise, a graphic designer developing electronic media must understand and apply programming principles to control the dynamic behavior of the media. For example, Autodesk Maya is a 3-D design software. However, Python Scripting in Maya is used sometimes to achieve impeccable results which would rather be much difficult when you have no idea of programming. Now, Which is more valuable? What I believe is : "Catering to your interests and doing something which brings you eternal pleasure and satisfaction is much more valuable than anything else."So, I would suggest: Experiment!Do both of these:Use your technological brilliance, program algorithms, design data structures etc.Grow and blossom your creativity. Nurture your design skills.  And finally, decide according to your personal preference. Let your talent guide you and help you in making this decision.

What's the best program available freely online for designing 3D environments in virtual reality?

inStudio VR is free and lets you export 3D models from your software of choice (Design 3D, Maya, Blender etc.) to a virtual reality environment where you can perform a variety of functions. As of yet, there is no VR app that will give you the same amount of power or functionality as desktop software. The best way right now is to create your design on the desktop, and then export it to VR.

Is Humber College 3D animation, art and design a good program and accredited?

most accredited schools are held on the companies website keep dreaming you're gonna find it easy to get into game design or the game industry there industries are over-saturated with people looking to get into that industry. Like everyone on here wants to do the same old thing

You don't just walk into a job and sit down you have to show you have the experience or you're better then someone with 10 years + in the animation, game modeling etc! you need a wide-range of skills like also Photoshop behind you. it not like 10 to 15 years ago you need to have demo reels portfolios of you're best work and even if you have that you still mite not made it!

So i would not pin all you're hopes on one career

Do you know any 3D restaurant design software?

Sketch up is the best choice for you, because Google design in a user friendly way.

Click this link to download: http://sketchup.google.com/

To design a functional restaurant, you need to have specific measurement of all required equipments for your needs. For example, if you try to design your kitchen, you need a kitchen layout that is up to code (will be inspected by Health and Building Department). So that you know how does your ventilation system located, as well as Grease Interceptor, and etc. However, if you just want a conceptual 3D drawing of your dream restaurant, you can worry about that later :) It will be fun and I hope you enjoy it.

Some additional Information below:

Auto cad is good for 2D or 3D Design, but you need some time to learn.

3Dmax is more like a rendering program, and I don't recommend it in your case (Professional Stage).

Good Luck!!!

I am planning to learn 3D interior design. What is a good software to generate photorealistic 3D designs? Also, which one is easy to learn? I came across some softwares such as AutoCad, AutoDesk, 3D Max, SketchUp, V-ray, etc. Which one has the smallest learning curve?

I would say it depends on a couple of things. What kind of designer do you want to be? An actual designer that can *build* things, or one of the many designers out there who have never actually drilled a hole, set a screw, or made anything functional? What kind of output are you looking to achieve? Purely artistic, to sell the idea, or more architectural, where the idea is to actually create a functional, livable interior?Depending on the answers from above, that should definitely drive you toward a decision.Sketchup is a great tool for…You guessed it. Sketching. I have had *numerous* people come to me with REALLY pretty renders in Sketchup asking for something created and / or built and 98.9% of the time I will have to rebuild it in *my* choice of 3D modeling software - Solidworks - because Sketchup files are almost worthless when it actually comes to building anything.A student version of Solidworks cost under 200 dollars, it’s non crippled / fully functional and, while yes, it does have a steeper learning curve, what you GET out if it are actual files that can be used in real world situations - .STL files for 3D printing, Finite Element Analysis of structures for load carrying, files for water jet cutting of steel, blueprints / plan views / section views. If you have a capable enough computer, you can get photo-realistic renderings out of it to show to clients.Time to go off and figure out what kind of designer you want to be my friend. :)

I want to get a laptop that can run 3D modeling / design software, programming software, and music production software. What do you recommend?

Thank you for A2A. I woud recommend you in your selection to stick with traditional manufacturers of workstation-class machines, both desktops and laptops. The reasons for doing that include their more experience in building such hardware, better chances of not having problems with drivers and/or additional equipment, much better support in terms of operating systems compatibility and certification. Below I will recommend the relevant product lines from three major manufacturers I would consider for myself, should I have your needs and requirements (for the sake of this answer, I assume that you're OK with 15 inches screen size, for the HP and Lenovo models).Dell Precision Mobile Workstations (in case of a slight preference for multimedia-focused tasks as well as better portability and design, The XPS 15 Laptop is a feasible alternative)ZBook 15 Mobile Workstation laptopsThinkPad W541 | Mobile Workstation

What is the best 3D design software?

One of the best software for 3d images would be the Auto CAD it is a little expensive and very hard to use but with acouple classes and alot interes you will be able to use it w/ not much difficulties, one other thing is that there are other softwares such as 3D Studio Max which personally I nadn't use but I have heard it is good so I would advice you to take a look at some webs just go to yahoo.com and search for videos of Auto CAD and they should have some to show how good it is....
