I Want Red Hair But I Have Black Right Now

Can I dye black over dyed red hair?

Right now I have my hair dyed a darkish red.
I want to dye my bangs black, is this a good idea?
Is it possible for me to dye black over the red, or would I have to bleach it?
Dont tell me dying black is a bad idea, I've done it before and I know it's horrible to get out.
Thanks!

Blond in black hair.?

If its dyed black it will be almost impossible to get it to blond again. You should just ask for some blond extensions. The hair dresser will understand what you mean.

How do i turn my red hair black ?

If you are going darker than any color you have in your hair. You can go ahead and apply a a permanent hair coloring. when you bleach hair most of the time is because you want to take out color to apply a lighter color than what you had. for a very black color apply http://www.sallybeauty.com/Creme-Haircolor/SBS-320380,default,pd.html with a 10 or. 20 volume peroxide and for a more natural black apply http://www.sallybeauty.com/Creme-Haircolor/SBS-320374,default,pd.html with 10 or 20 volume peroxide. yor hair will not go green because you have ared color in your hair. and you are not bleaching. there is plenty of brands you can buy this is just an example. I hoe this works.

My hair is blue. And I want to dye it red. What happens if I dye my blue hair with red dye?

greetings and salutations, fellow hair dye chameleon!while i’m 33 and starting to go grey now, i spent nearly 2 decades (12–32) trying nearly everything without bothering to learn anything, especially in the beginning.please take advantage of my former hubris and subsequent knowledgeto begin with, here are the 3 big variables with your current issue.did you do it by yourself or did you go to a professional?was your hair bleached before coloring it blue?what strength is the blue? meaning, is it manic panic (where it’s applied right out of the container/rinses out with each wash) or not?bonne chance regardless, but it might be wise to message me over posting on a public board, at least in the very beginning—it’d be selfish to use too much space.

Blonde, brunette, black haired, or red head.?

Ok people, not just guys i want girls answers too..what hair color do you like most in the opposite sex.

Me I am a dark brown haired male and I like Blondes the most.

I personally think red hair is ugly on men....but sometimes is perfect for women. Blonde seems to mean for feminine...thats why i like it more than Brunette or Black.

How can I dye my hair from red to half black and blonde?

Best not to screw around with these dramatic changes without consulting a professional stylist. The 'blonde part' will require bleaching. The 'black' part will also require some fine tuning. Red is the most difficult colour to rid your hair of. Yes, you can put a flat black dye on top of your red hair, but it likely won't look as good without a stylists touch. I cannot say this too much - don't mess too much with hair colour unless it's non-permanent or until you know you 'really' want to go down that road. Once your chemical colouring is done, it requires maintenance, and upkeep. It won't take long before those roots begin to show - and it's very difficult to keep dyeing your hair and getting a similar match. In fact, you will likely not want to get that same affect over and over again for the rest of your life. Not to mention the fact that your hair will not reflect light as non-chemically treated hair does. It will have a 'flat' look about it.

If I mix black and red permanent hair dye together, will it turn out good?

From my personal experience with this sort of situation, I can say that it depends on how much of each colour you add to the mixture. Black is one of those more dominant colours so if you put too much in with the red, your hair is going to be pure black. If you put a little bit of black in with the red, it might turn into a brown colour and if you were to put the same amount of each colour together, your hair might be black but it could have a little bit of a red(or possibly even burgundy)tint to it.

Dyed my hair Burgundy/Brown and now want it back to dark brown, no red? Suggestions?

I dyed my hair myself a color called black cherry which is a dark burgundy brown. I did that color twice and now I'm bored with it and just want it to be dark brown. If dye over this with a Dark Ash Brown will that minimize the red? I would go to a salon and have it stripped but right now there is no way money wise and I can't wait because my roots are not so attractive! Any help would be great :)
