I Want To Be Like Pbuh

Was Adam (pbuh) a prophet or not?

Chart of the 25 prophets named in the Holy Qur'an commencing with Adam A.S. (English language names):

EDIT:

Good point about Dhul Kifli, but it cannot alter the fact that Adam A.S. was a prophet. Adam was in direct communication with Allah SWT and therefore was a prophet.

===

EDIT:

ACTUALLY I WANT TO ASK THIS:
ARE THERE 25 OR 26 PROPHETS MENTIONED BY NAME IN THE HOLY QUR'AN? PLZ NAME THEM??

-

Oh, if that's all, this is a minor point and it's open to discussion as to how many there are depending on who and how you count. Is al-Khidr A.S. to be considered a prophet? What about Uzair A.S.? The number 25 doesn't come from the Holy Qur'an and there is nothing inviolable about the number of prophets named in the Holy Qur'an as being 25 in particular. The most important thing to know is that the prophets all brought the same belief in Allah S.W.T. starting with Prophet Adam A.S. and that the last prophet and messenger was the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. and that there will be no other prophet or messenger after him.

I'm a descendent of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)....?

Really I will basically answer the hateful comments...
I don't want a pin or a medal I just want to be able to trace back my ancestors, especially if he is the prophet of my faith. And NO I'm no freak just a guy trying to trace back his family Tree which he was always told descended from the prophet of his faith.... And I respect all the other religions because Islam tells us that Christians and Jews ARE people of the book therefore they are the same as Islam and Islam is the last message of God; it is why it is respectable to say your are descendants of Jesus spiritually. So I hope it clears all the bad comments.

Well, first, just to get it out of the way, I’ll state clearly that I’m reading “believe in” as in “believe in the unique holy status of” not as in “believe in the existence of”.Because I’m a Christian, and I certainly believe Muhammad existed (and did at least all the non-supernatural stuff he’s claimed to have done). So, why do Christians deny that Muhammad was anyone special, but Muslims accept that Jesus was someone special?Well, for the same reason that Jews deny that Jesus was anyone special, but Christians accept that Moses was someone special.Islam claims to be a sort of “next step” after Christianity - so it makes sense that Muslims would believe in Jesus (at least as a prophet). But Christians don’t think Islam is a “next step” (otherwise we’d be Muslims), and so we see Muhammad as a false prophet (I’m not trying to be insulting or provocative - that’s just a factual way of stating the issue). He has to be, for us, otherwise, like I said, we’d just be Muslims. If someone came along and made a similar claim about Islam that Islam makes about Christianity - that Muhammad was a holy Prophet, but not the last, and that the Qur’an has been subtly corrupted to make you think that he was the last and greatest Prophet of Allah, how would you react? If a member of this new faith said, “How come Muslims don’t believe in the Great Prophet Bob, but Bobbists believe in Muhammad?” would that be a thought-provoking question to you?Or would it make you think more like, “Well, I don’t believe in Bob because I’m not a Bobbist, and I think Bobbism is false. The fact that Bobbists concede the Prophet-hood of Muhammad doesn’t change that.”?Basically, belief isn’t subject to reciprocity. The fact that you believe some specific part of what I believe doesn’t make it any more or less rational for me to believe any part of what you believe - or vice versa.

Birthdays and/or parents in Islam, Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) birthday?

Ok there is a serious problem here. Celebrating somebody's birthday is NOT innovation in the least bit. Whoever told you that it is wrong or haram to celebrate somebody's birthday is an extremist/delusional individual who understands nothing but a perverted sense of what Islam is.

It is NOT wrong to celebrate a birthday. How is celebrating a birthday innovation? Please, stop listening to whatever delusional Muslims are feeding you such lies. It is a shame, I mean truly a shame, that some people believe this. This is the first time I have ever heard of such a thing. Yes, you can attend such a lecture. Again, unless you can answer how celebrating a birthday party is innovation......
Celebrating one's birthday party has NOTHING to do with replacing God or anything of that sort.

The Prophet body PBUH is untouched and still in Madinah. There are many people confused about the prophet PBUH grave and many pictures in the internet of weird coffins and tombs which is completely wrong so this is a simple explanation:Usually Muslims dig a hole in the ground then at the end they make a room on the side to put the body in so the sand or soil won’t crush the body of the person then they let a pile of sand to exceed the ground level to indicate someone is buried here with a rock where the head is to indicate a man and two rocks one where the head is and one where the feet are to indicate a woman, no coffin is used. The person is wrapped in a white cloth with nothing else is buried with him.In the prophet case some miner decoration are putten outside the grave like curtains as one of the previous Caliph Umar ibn Abdulaziz has build walls with no doors around the Prophet grave from volcanic rocks and the green curtains is used to hide the walls.Underground around the Prophet PBUH grave is surrounded by lead as a centuries ago two crusaders came to Madinah and they tried to steal the Prophet body by digging a tunnel from their house but they were caught before they reach the grave. This is how the Prophet chamber look from the passage as normal people are not allowed inside the Prophet champer only head of states may enter the chamber:P.S. Just to clarify the Prophet grave is inside the chamber and the chamber in inside the Prophet mosque.

First of all, get a Bible and read it for yourself. Christians believe that it's literally the Word of God, so you can't really go wrong there. Start with the New Testament. You'll find MANY people on the internet with so many theologies, it's crazy. My "theology" is to read the Bible and take the simplest, clearest meaning as truth, while taking into account who the original audience was. This way, you can easily realise when someone is just twisting the Word for whatever reason. Furthermore, not all branches of Christianity require classes or meetings before conversion. I don't know where you're from, so access to churches may be difficult, but if you can get in contact with some, then that's a good start. When you have a more firm understanding of the Bible, then you can easily spot when a church is not doing what the Bible says. And then you can ask why and take things from there. A good guide to when a church is not good, is when they require loyalty to that specific church only. Your loyalty should be to God, not to man. Also, you can't "be converted". It's not something someone else can do for you, you have to do it yourself. "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom 10:9). I believe that's all you have to do to be saved initially, it's this deeply intimate relationship that saves. Not works, nor prayer, nor miracles, nor worshipping, nor being a good person necessarily. After that it gets interesting, then it's all about having relationship with God and allowing Him to change you as He sees fit. And no, you don't HAVE to be in a church to be a Christian and you don't HAVE to follow any church's theology. As a last note: Converting to Christianity is not the end of the race, it's just the ticket to enter the race. If you have any further questions, or just need to reflect on some opinions, you're welcome to contact me.

Christians: Why should I worship Jesus (pbuh) as God?

Read throughout my question very carefully, I just want to make sure there is no misunderstanding. I mean no offense with this question, this is only my hundredth (literally) attempt at trying to understand the concept of the Trinity. You say that God is composed of three parts: The Father (in Heaven), The Holy Spirit, and The Flesh (Jesus).

God according to the Bible is Immortal, Eternal, and Invisible (I Timothy 1:17, I Timothy 6:16). We know that God cannot die, he has no beginning or end, and cannot be seen.

Jesus (pbuh), which is the supposed God in the Flesh form, did in fact have a beginning, an end, could be seen, and died. These completely contradict the verses in 1 Timothy and other parts of the Bible. For this reason, we can conclude that the Flesh is not God, but the Spirit that dwells in him. Therefore, there is no God "flesh" but always Spirit.

So if the Spirit is God and He dwells in Jesus (pbuh), which makes him "worthy" of worship, why do you not worship yourselves? Or other people? If according to the Bible, God also dwells in us, what makes Jesus (pbuh) so special?

According to the Bible, Jesus (pbuh), you, and I are:

- Children of God. God is the father of all.
- Less than God. God is greater than us.
- Flesh, and God dwells in us.
- Servants of God.
- Cannot do anything but by the will of God.
- Worship God.
- God (the Father) is our God.
- There is only one God of all, the most important commandment.
- And more...

Jesus (pbuh) is also the Messiah and the prophet in the Bible, but I know Christians don't worship other prophets like Moses (pbuh) and the likes.

So, if the flesh isn't God, and God is Spirit, and only one entity, why should I worship Jesus (pbuh) exactly? If Jesus (pbuh)'s flesh is now in heaven, sitting on the right hand of God, why should I worship him? If God is one entity and one spirit, and He is not flesh, then neither is Jesus (pbuh), right? Since Jesus (pbuh) is sitting, in his flesh, by God, who is now one entity, then Jesus is always flesh and therefore not God.

God bless and thank you.

* Copy of question saved in case of reporting.

Luke never met Jesus pbuh, Is the gospel of Luke really a hearsay.?

No, if you want to be saved you have to learn about Christ.

Luke is regarded by historians as a very good historian. He appears to have also written Acts (its an almost certainty they were companion volumes.)

He would have interviewed many people. He wasn't hooked into an unknown angel giving him a revelation, although He had the Holy Spirit with him, who is God the Spirit and greater than any angel and sent by Jesus to guide us into the truth (John 14:17, John 16:13). God's way with us is not to literally feed us everything by revelation, but to train us to think, judge etc. A revelation of the type Mohammed received from his angel source, is likely to make a man very proud and angry towards those who won't listen ... thats why there are very angry passages in the Koran where Mohammed gets very hard with his opponents .. in ungodly violence and wickedness. God won't lead a man that way.

God won't let His real revelation mislead. The disciples were born again, men transformed, who died for their beliefs, and not chancers, but honest men. They didn't set about lying to us. Reports of the bible being corrupt stem originally from folks like mohammedans - people who needed to explain away why Mohammed's 'revelation' contradicted Old and New Testaments.

How can muhammad(pbuh) be honored as a prophet?

I love the religion of islam and I want to convert but muhammad marrying a six year old can not be justified on any grounds. In ancient Egypt, marriages occured around the ages of 14-17. Ghandi and his wife married at around age 13 but they were around the same age. I have been looking for examples of a marriage like muhammad but i have found none. Probably because he committed an error in marrying a six year old(which muslims try to justify(DAMN HOW YOUNG DOES SHE HAVE TO BE B4 YALL OBJECT-4 OR 3). Every prophet has commited some type of an error(except maybe for Jesus).
I am not trying to offend muslims, but in terms of age difference that is pretty sick. I mean how do you relate to a six year old when your 40. You must admit that is very odd.
