I Want To Become A Professional Soccer Player Im From India

Is 20 too late to become a professional soccer player?

Most professional and National Team level players are in their mid to late twenties. Due to needing amateur status to play soccer in a College/University. (If you didn't know that, you might be in trouble) Scouting first starts with a semi professional team. You still pay to play (in some places) but you travel around the country and play other semi pro teams. Normally coaches start there to recruit for an MLS squad. The next step would be to attend an open tryout. (Again, if you didn't know about this step, you're in trouble.) Open tryout usually cost anywhere from 100-300USD (ouch says the wallet) and there is a slim to none chance that you will make the team in an open tryout. If you are exceptional, you might have a chance to make their reserve squad but that means: No play time, no not being on the roster, and slim hope that you will move on from that position. Take it from someone on the long hard road to NWSL (if you don't know what this is, neither does anyone else). Everything is rough when you are an outsider to the Elite and Academy Worlds. If you are not on a semi professional team: get on one. If you can't make that: keep finding them. If you have tried out for more than ten teams and still no luck, you have no chance of moving forward without improvement.

That is how American Soccer is done.

I am a 13 year old Indian boy and I wanted to become a professional footballer. What should I do?

This is the perfect time to join foreign football academy(england) because these factors can affect your football career.Climatic conditions- India is polluted nation so basically your lungs are weak.Poor quality of food- You already no that.Corruption- indian sports is corrupted.Poor facilities- they can’t provide you with good facilitesExposure- Poor exposure.Money- This is the most important thing in india. I want you to move to england and join any football academy you will get better chances. But i want you to represent india.

Can I still becoming a professional soccer player at 21 years old?

It all depends, I am 23 right now, and Im doing soccer practice 6 days a week, I eat, drink, sleep, wake up and work thinking about soccer, there is not a minute of my life that i dont think about soccer practice, what i could've done better and what i did during. I have a huge soccer background having played in "non amateur" (pro for minors) ligues and being a high school champion. I stopped playing around my 18 birthday, I have 5 months for my College tryouts which eventually will take me to MLS tryouts, I was concidered a "prodigy".
And I still I think I have all but a slim chance!!! AND IM A POSITIVE PERSON.
but never the less TRY...you arent a failure until you fail to try, my mother used to tell me. I have a wife, a child on the way, but i will never ever under any circumstances will stop this time to achieve my goal!! So i tell you my friend, it wont be easy, nothing that is worth it ever is. But if you have the same desire and determination I do, you can..YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND, HEART AND SOUL IN TO.
never forget those words, even if you decide to do something else.
Best of luck to you and i hope you make it to where you are satisfied with yourself brother.

I'm a 17-year-old Indian wanting to become a professional footballer. Should I go to Europe or get in any Indian football academy?

Firstly, you are 17 years old. You are too old to be taken into any academy in europe. You are now eligible for professional contract, hence you'd directly feature in U-19 squad.Secondly, BPL allows players from nations which have a ranking higher than 75 in FIFA rankings. India ranks 143rd. Also, UEFA uses a similar eligibility criteria. You should probably focus on Indian clubs and tournaments. Sunil Chhetri went to Sporting CP's second team for a year, and made only 3 appearances. He also went to US in Major League Soccer, but was soon back in India making 0 appearances. Sunil Chhetri is a noted Indian footballer with lots of experience, still he was unsuccessful abroad. This hints at the demanding nature of top clubs and also the lack of quality (we do not have top class coaching facilities) in Indian players. We need to up our quality to match the requirements of clubs abroad.PS : I'm not judging you or your playing ability. I have generalized the situation based on what I have seen in world football since 2003.

I am 15 and I live in India. How can I become a professional footballer?

This should cover a lot of the issues. In many ways 15 might as well be 18, though it is not quite as bad: Greg Gordon's answer to I want to be a professional soccer player. I am 18 and a half now and I will become 19 in November. I feel that I am over aged and can't become a professional soccer player. Can I still become a soccer player? In India its even worse. No-one yet takes Indian players seriously due to your lack of historic football culture and the industry's endemic racism. And then there's the massive elephant of the room of work permits. You don't get one unless you are a youth international or an established pro at home.In terms of finding an Indian club other will be better placed to offer advice.

Is 23 years old too late to play soccer professionaly?

If you have a soccer back ground is not too late. As a matter of fact in countries where soccer is the sport more money is invested in, the average age of a soccer player is 26 years old. With the 23 year olds being the rookies. I know there are 18 and 19 year old players out there playing in first division teams but those players are rare. Other than Leo Messi, Giovani Dos Santos, and Carlos Vela can you think of anyone else off the top of your head, I can't.

If you have never played soccer in your life than it may take you quite some time to be a pro. I would advice you to join a soccer school such as the one Atlas from Mexico has, I know you don't live in Mexico right. Some school promote themselves and come to the U.S. for a season every year. I know Atlas does that and it's usually in the summer. At times, if you are that good they'll ask you to join their Cantera (Reserves) and then you earn your spot from there.

With a soccer school you will learn how to position your self in the field, you learn hot to play smarter, and what are the areas of the ball you can kick to give it different directions when you kick it. I mean you learn a lot more, it truly makes you a better player. With this in your background you can easily be a starter in a college team. From there on is all about how you show yourself to the public and those people who search for talent. I will have to tell you though it takes a couple of years before you can make it to the big teams I would say about 3 so start now.

Is it possible to become a soccer player after 17?

Hi guys i'm 17 years old turning 18 soon, I am really committed to soccer i pretty much live for it and am willing to train to get there. I believe i am good enough to play on some of the teams in europe already that aren't as big as man u or barcelona but i don't have the money or the support or the recognition level here in canada, my school's team plays in division 2 with very bad schools and which led me to leave because my coach wouldn't let me play because i wasn't able to attend some of the practices, I also made it into a travel teams but I wasn't able to pay for them which might have led to some other opportunities maybe in the us, I'm European. I will definitely appreciate any comments or any help at all as to what I should do and Where I can go to because I really want to do it as I live and breathe pretty much for soccer and have no chances here :( Thanks in advance.

I am 14 years old and I am waiting to become a professional footballer: Should I play for the BPL or the Championship?

Unless you have 2 offers on the table right now from a championship club and a premier league club than you're being extremely arrogant. What makes you think that you can barge in and demand a contract from whatever team you please. Jesus, people work hard for years and years and make huge sacrifices for you to come in and think it's your birth right to play in the premier league. The best you can hope is to work hard, put your blood, sweat, and tears into a football and pray to God you'll get a contract from as Scuntthorpe United
