I Want To Become A Singer But How

I want to become a singer, but I'm way too shy. Help??!!?

I had my first stage experience when I was your age. (I'm an old man now.) In my junior high school play I got the part of a villain. Well, it's opening night; I went out on stage and I was so scared I just frooze. Then, the audience started to boo me. I started shaking and crying and ran off the stage. "What the blazes is wrong with you,?" said my irate drama teacher. With tears running down my red face I replied, "They're booing me."
"They're supposed to," he said in disgust, "You're the villain; that's part of the show!"
No one told me before I went on that this was part of the show. Well, I went back out, still a little shaky and scared, but made it through the play OK. My friends told me I was really good. From there, I eventually went on to win acting wards -- locally -- and loving to get out on the stage. You will too, you just need to get through your stage fright. There is no way around it, so just get out there and do it!

Can I become a singer?

Definitely a Yes from me - a person who has a naturally coarse voice.Let me tell you my story (Not that I am a professional at singing but I am a descent singer). To give a background about me. I am an Indian guy and as a kid I always wanted to become a Cricket player. However my Parents had plans otherwise. They wanted me to learn Indian classical music. I was forced to learn singing at age 7. When I turned 11-12 my voice started changing to masculine and coarse. I gave up singing after that  as I was not able to adapt. However at age ~16, I developed great interest in Music with all the Singing TV shows(Indian Idol)  around. I started again where I  left but now with this rough voice I had. With training under an experienced Indian Music Guru, I did Riyaz(Practice) of my voice. I was made to practice more on Lower notes in Indian Ragas one hour, six days a week. I practiced for two years. Suddenly I was in command of my singing.  I was able to replay any note with ease which my brain processed.Great Singers in India Like Bharat Ratna (India’s Highest civilian Award) Pandit Bhimsen Joshi excelled based on hours and hours of voice training. In a nutshell, you can become a good singer if you have the passion and dedication to become one. Constant practice will follow with your passion and that will help you become a good singer.

What should I do if I want to be a singer?

Being a good singer takes a lot to work on. Here are some useful tips on how to be a singer. Just believe and have faith that you can make it, and everything you desire will actually come in to reality. Some say you need to have a voice instructor for you to develop your confidence, vocal chords, proper breathing, intonation and a lot more. Developing your voice really needs to have a major training may it by yourself, with your friends or best with a voice instructor. I myself enrolled to a voice lesson with my friends not to be a perfect singer but just to help myself become a good one. You really need to know the notes for you to be able to use proper breathing. Here are my personal tips I got from my very good voice instructor;1. Relax your vocal chords before you start.2. Exercise your jaw and face- you cannot sing well especially when you are nervous, so just relax.3. You can practice proper breathing while you are swimming, Inhale, Exhale to open up the air passage and soften the diaphragm.4. Do not drink plenty of water. Do not eat plenty of chocolates or other sweetened foods. You are also not allowed to drink plenty of coffee and tea.5. Lastly, practice phrasing songs that you are so good at. Better record it so you would know where your weak points. Then work it out again.

I want to become a singer and live my dream but I can't SING!!!?

I've always wanted to become a singer since I was 9 years old I love singing I love music but I can't sing at ALL!! It I really sucks because I record myself singing and when I hear it I sound like I'm dying in pain, I always end up crying because I feel like I'm useless I can never have a voice like Ariana Grande or Adele because you have to be born talented you can't just learn how to sing . I don't give up easly so I don't want to throw away my dreams. Should I forget about becoming a singer?

I am 20 and I want to become a playback singer but I dont have any professional experience, my voice is average according to people. What should I do?

Good that you planning for back-ups but these many back logs are not good. Because, you are not doing anything for your interest as well, it is important that you must get professionally trained since you know your voice is average. You will need training to improve your vocals and this may take lot of time, there are playback singing from childhood and yet, they are met with many unimaginable difficulties. This is not to demotivate you but set your priorities right. If you love something then you are going to pursue your dream today or tomorrow, don’t destroy path of your education. Focus on the task which is in your hands now, if you show considerable improvement in your studies, your parents might allow you to get your vocals trained or else they will assume, you have lost it. And it’s true, it’s India and art has no support or any helping hand from the government.Life’s not easy, making it difficult will only create issues for you and your family. Keep working hard, concentrate on your education and take training for vocals.

I know that I want to become a singer but I don't like practicing. Should I quit singing?

In music practice is one of the main factors that separates amateurs from pros. Innate talent is probably the biggest factor, along with drive, ambition, opportunity, and ego. Professional musicians tend to be obsessive about their craft and, even if they don’t enjoy it, will practice for hours a day (especially when young) because their desire for success drives then to do so.99% of professional musicians have practiced very hard to acquire the skills they need to make a living as a musician. For those who don’t like to practice or have the drive there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy music as an amateur or semi-pro. Singing in choirs, with friends, in coffee houses, local clubs, and weekend bands are all ways to make music part of your life.
