What's the best guitar controller for Guitar Hero Wii?
Same old story: the boyfriend gets his copy of World Tour tomorrow, and I of course want a decent guitar to play bass on while someone else rocks out on lead guitar. What's the best compatible controller, and why? And which is the best for the price? I've never enjoyed pure guitar hero, but love rock band. For this reason I'm not sure I'll buy Guitar Hero III with the bundled les paul, but if the price difference between that and just the guitar is minimal it will be awfully tempting--if only to practice while he's got his game at home!
Does Gamestop take Guitar Hero guitar controllers?
I am only about 68$ away from the fabled 3DS. (the 68 dollars is with tax) and right now I have 104 dollars. Today I am planning on trading them my DSi XL for another 100 dollars. That is 204 dollars. I was thinking this: I have 2 X-Plorer Guitar Hero controllers for Xbox 360 , and a Rock Band guitar controller. I also have Rock Band drumset that I can take apart. Do they take that stuff? If so, how much would I get for the guitars and the Rock Band Drums?
Best Guitar Controller for Guitar Hero and Rock Band (Xbox 360)?
Well, now that the whole music instrument craze is over and the games are selling for dirt cheap, I am considering getting a few. I am looking for a guitar that I can use to play both the Guitar Hero games and Rock Bank games that I can buy separate from any games (ex: I don't want to buy the new Guitar Hero kit that come with a guitar). What is the best aftermarket controller out there that would allow me to do this? As a second question, if I had to chose one game over the other, I would chose Guitar Hero, so what is the nest controller for just that game? Thanks!

If you are looking for a durable controller that will stand the test of time, go with the white flying V.This guitar is absolute beast. I started out playing this one and continued on until I got to playing the difficulty on expert. It has withstood many, many, rock outs. I have two of them and neither of them have shown signs of malfunction.On the other hand don't buy this one….This is by far the cheapest feeling controller I've put my hands on. The strum button gets worn out fairly quickly and begins to double tap by itself and it also makes a weird screech noise. In other words it's absolute garbage. The only thing about it that's good, is the touch sensitive part of the fret board that plays solos but it's not something that breaks the game if you don't have it.Lastly we have the newest guitar controller to add to the list.It's pretty much a new game with this controller. I felt like a complete amateur when I was using it. Does that mean it's bad though? Not at all. In fact I don't have enough time put into this one to give a good enough opinion. I was looking for a refresh of the franchise that I had come to love when guitar hero live came out, but was given a completely new adventure. I couldn't convince myself to learn how to play all over again however.
Guitar Hero World Tour or Rock Band 2 with controllers (guitar, drum, etc.)?
Hi, I am at college and I have an xbox 360. I have Rock Band 1 but i can't bring it with me because my brother uses it more and he is back home. I am going to buy both Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2, but what I need to know is which one should I buy with the guitar and drum set? Which controllers are better? Before I buy these games I want to be sure I am buying the set with the best equipment. I heard from a friend that you have to hit the Guitar Hero drums harder to get them to work, is this true? Can i play guitar hero games without the guitar controller ps3?
You can only play guitar-only games with just the controller (Guitar Hero 3 and Aerosmith). Any of the 'full band' games like GH:World Tour, Band Hero, Warriors of Rock and any of the Rock Band games require you to have the actual instruments. In these games, the controller is considered part of the Singer's instrument (along with a microphone), and to play guitar, bass or drums you must have a guitar or drum controller.
How do you remove stripped screws in Guitar hero controller?
Call a hardware store. There is a tool that will removed the striped screws. If the hardware store does not have it try Sears and if they don't have it email me as there may be a way I can find one for you.

I just answered this question for someone else... "The PC guitar controller is an Xbox 360 wired controller. No, really. I bought the PC version and when I connected it Windows installed the Xbox 360 controller drivers. It has the green "X" button like the middle of a 360 controller and even has a communicator port. They are the same controller, so of course the Xbox 360 controller is compatible with the PC version of Guitar Hero III."

Can I use a wireless PS3 Guitar Hero 3 controller on PC Frets on Fire?
Ok this can get confusing. I haven't had the chance to look at a ps3 guitar yet but i think it charges the same as a sixaxis. The ps3 controller has a mini usb adaptor which you can use to connect to the console physically it can also plug into any pc usb port. this is where it gets screwy when i plug my Sixaxis into my pc the computer recinizes it right away but the CONTROLLER doesn't find a slot, i.e. player 1, 2, 3, etc... and the light just flash. like i said i have no idea if it the guitar has a usb port but i think it does. if not i think you can modify it to work heres a tut. i also heard that the guitars may come with a usb adapter and are not bluetooth compatable http://www.instructables.com/id/PS3-Wireless-Guitar-Hero-Controller/
