I Want To Chose Topic For My Project Anyone There To Help Me To Chose One

How do I choose my PhD thesis topic from the two projects that I have been given?

Aah we all have that one annoying conundrum don't we?My first suggestion (probably quite obvious) would be to see if you can bridge the 2 topics into one grand slam defense. PhDs are always about being laser focused on one idea which doesn't necessarily help when job hunting in the industry that usually looks for more “well rounded-ness”. Even in academia, collaborations amongst various facets is the new black! My lab for instance is heavily attempting to bridge micro-fluid mechanics and physiology: a mammoth of an attempt I assure you but certainly gives us the edge over other groups that may have deep understanding in only one of those fields.(Assuming one topic is academia tending and the other is industry tending): if there is no scope for a combination (be it time or funding related), I would suggest defending the topic that will more likely land you an industrial job. If you decide to get into academia you still have a 2–3 year post-doctorate “buffer” during which you can train in a slightly (or significantly too, in many cases) different topic (for instance maybe the one you didn't pick in your doctoral program but sill developed a knowledge base for. But once you move into industry, you won't have such a buffer at least one that gives you authority on experimenting with research; there you're mostly going to be satisfying industrial needs (profit more often than not!). So getting into industry, you want to have a seamless transition whereas for academia the post-doc should smooth out any potential “roughness” in your research abilities.Good luck!

How do I choose the topic for my M.Tech final year project?

You need to choose this by looking at what you've done and the current trends in your field.  You should not be asking to crowdsource this - it's your education and you need to take responsibility for it.  If you can't figure out what to do for your project, do you deserve to graduate?

Can anyone help me with how to go about doing a final year project in civil engineering? How do I choose a topic? What if this topic has already been touched upon before? Does it mean I have to change the topic altogether?

Don’t worry about a topic that has been chosen before. After all, you’re an undergraduate, do you really think you’ll have something so unique that nobody else has done? The key is to put your own spin on it or run a test/model to show the idea that you’re trying to solve. When it comes to picking the topic, the key is to make sure to find something that will be both challenging and interesting. If you know all the answers, then it is not challenging enough. This is your chance to put the theoretical knowledge from your classes to practical hands-on use. In this sense, it is prepping you for the real world where you combine the foundation you gained from your coursework with the practical situation and variables in a non-ideal presentation of the issue. If it is not something that interests you, then you are going to have a tough time pushing through the tough calculations and work involved. Much like engineering school in general, things can be tough and some courses can be really rough. However, if you have a positive goal in mind and see the bigger picture, you will make it through. If you like my material and want to see more tips like this for reaching engineering success, please check out my website, www.TheEngineeringMentor.com . First and most importantly choose a subject or topic you are really interested in .You don't have to be good in it ,just be interested and you can learn .Choosing a topic is difficult because there are so many different things we can do .Many websites like Electronic Circuits and Diagram-Electronics Projects and Design ,DIY How To Make Instructions ,Electronics Hub - Latest Free Electronics Projects and Circuits ,Learn at SparkFun Electronics ,etc have thousands of different projects and topics to choose from. Just pick one and do it .Take real world problems and make projects that solve these problems .Go to YouTube and watch videos to get ideas and view demos .Ask your professors or teachers for ideas and guidance .Enjoy making stuff .

If you don't have any other option go for it or try out for yourself, as your final project will help you a lot in future.Based on current trends like IoT, Cloud computing, Machine learning and Automation.Based on current problem to be addressed like traffic, water, energy harvesting and accident control.Search for some IEEE papers on any topic you want to build in.Link- IEEE Xplore Digital LibraryYou will be finding a lot paper, for some you have to pay. If you want them without paying copy the link and try to download at this link- removing barriers in the way of scienceOther links- http://www.academica.edu/ Share and discover researchThere is a lot of DIY(Do It Yourself) projects available for free, google them. One of them are- DIY How To Make InstructionsVisit some industries, factories or any power plants ask them any projects(this is for mechanical and civil departments). You will be provided with guidance but there will some fee for this, as this may considered as an Internship program. If nothing works go for ready-made projects available in markets and online stores.(I'm not encouraging this)
