I'm a swimmer and i want to dye my hair?
I think mc has a good answer. I will add that red fades very quickly from hair no matter what you are doing, so I would imagine swimming will make it fade faster.
I really want to dye my hair black but I'm scared...?
Okay, I have short hair. It's cut like this. (I know the link is long, sorry.) http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0PDoKniFJhRG2sA94CJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMTQ4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dshort%2Bscene%2Bgirl%2Bhair%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D41&w=300&h=400&imgurl=3.bp.blogspot.com%2F_sq4gkJ5ms9w%2FTTvGlOVyblI%2FAAAAAAAAALY%2F1kVP78Qd8Fk%2Fs400%2Fshort-emo-girl-hairstyles-women-hair-styles.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fall-hairstyle.blogspot.com%2F2011%2F08%2Femo-haircuts-for-girls-with-long-hair.html&size=24.6KB&name=emo+haircuts+for+girls+with+long+%3Cb%3Ehair%3C%2Fb%3E.+haircuts+for+long+%3Cb%3Ehair+%3C%2Fb%3Eemo.&p=short+scene+girl+hair&oid=7212c18fd23bb6f4daee0a8f9373255f&fr2=&fr=&tt=emo+haircuts+for+girls+with+long+%3Cb%3Ehair%3C%2Fb%3E.+haircuts+for+long+%3Cb%3Ehair+%3C%2Fb%3Eemo.&b=31&ni=40&no=41&ts=&tab=organic&sigr=12kjts3as&sigb=12magjkpb&sigi=13nap49hd&.crumb=YLt2SEz2QU.& Anyhow, my hair matches the coloring of that girls to and I have some blonde streaks in it, by not many. I have the whole emo/scene look, such as clothes, makeup, and asscesories, and I'd like to dye my hair black, but I can't get it done professionally. My mom said if I decided I wanted to dye it she'd help me, and she's been dying her hair for years so she's gotten good at it. Will the dye mess my hair up? Will it make me look trashy? Please help! And if you know, what kind of dye is best? I have really thick hair. Thankyou!
Ok i have dandruff, but i want to dye my hair(read on)?
Start using Head and Shoulders - it's great stuff. It makes my dry hair very soft and shiny They have a formula just for color treated hair too. I buy the shampoo and conditioner most every winter when my scalp gets dry and flaky. I also color my hair from its natural light brown to a medium brown. It works well for me and I hope it helps. Since you haven't colored yet, use Head and Shoulders for a week or two and see how your scalp looks. When coloring hair it's important to not massage the dye into the scalp. That goes for everyone, and especially if you have any scalp condition. Use a hair color brush to apply the dye to ensure even coloring without putting the dye all over your skin. They can be purchased at beauty supplies (like Sally) for a couple of bucks.
HELP PLEASE i want to dye my hair and im scared...?

Can i dye my hair if im a swimmer?
I strongley advise against it. If you swim that often the clorine has really damaged your hair already...and the clorine will also alter the color to a very odd color...for instance...if you dye your hair blonde or even just highlight already blonde hair it will turn green. Not really sure what black will turn to but I really dont think you want to find out because being in that pool that often can be dissasterous and to try to repair it and continue in the pool could damage your hair beyond repair .
I really want to dye my hair but my mom is strict. How do I show her that I respect her opinion but that it's my decision, and I don't want to wait?
Due to the lack of details here, it is hard to answer. Answers have to be based on some assumptions. The number one assumption is that the person asking is a minor living under their mother’s roof and being supported by her. With that assumption, Mom’s house = Mom’s rules apply. As the parent she is allowed to be strict, make the rules, and enforce them as long as you remain dependent on her for food, shelter, etc.You could always do a LOT of research on the hair dyes you want to use, the costs of getting and maintaining the hair color, the pros and cons, how YOU will pay for ALL costs and issues pertaining to having your hair colored and then have a quiet, mature, thorough discussion with her about why you want to dye your hair now, and then LISTEN to her answers/responses. Granted, she will probably still say no, but this would show you respect her opinion and her as a person, and show her you also are mature enough to think things through and gather information to make an informed decision about things done to your body. The thing is, if you want to dye your hair, really truly want to do it for you and not to be “one of the cool kids” or rebel or follow some trends, whether you dye it this week, or in 5 yrs, it will still be your decision. Part of growing up is learning that there can be a HUGE delay between when you decide you want to do something, and when you are actually able to do something.
Can you bleach dyed hair? If so, how?
Absolutely you can! It just takes a little more caution than bleaching virgin hair.I recently bleached my hair from bright red to very light blonde, and it turned out just fine. It kinda depends on what colour your hair was dyed (for example black and dark browns are harder to get out,) but here’s a general overview:I went to Sally Beauty Supply and purchased Prismlites Blue toned Bleach, 30 volume developer (creme, not liquid [personal preference]) and a shiny new tint brush. (But I’m no professional. Use caution and commonsense…I ain’t liable for your hair.)Since I was doing more of a balayage-highlighting technique, I didn’t get within a couple inches of my roots, so that was one less thing to worry about.I sectioned my hair carefully, and as soon as I began applying the bleach I worked quickly to pull it through evenly (in the places i wanted). I started timing immediately and actually stopped halfway through bleaching to rinse the bottom section, so it wouldn’t overprocess.Once your hair is a pale yellow at the lightest, (mine had a teeny bit of orange in places,) you MUST wash the bleach out or face all the hair catastrophes I’m sure you’ve heard about. If your hair was really dark, you might want to stop while still orange (or once the time suggestion on the bleach is up,) because it’s better to go back later and re-bleach then to fry it trying to go super light in one day. After that, shampoo, tone if you want, or wait and dye it. Good luck!Oh, and don’t freak out when it’s still wet. My hair looked bright yellow-orange when I was fresh out of the shower, but once it dried it looked much blonder and better. First appearances can be deceiving!
I want to dye my hair black with purple dip dye but my hair is naturally brown. How should I do this?
Hi,I’ve been asked this question multiple times. So much so that when I see someone with dipped dyed ends I stop and ask them how they got the results as well as what products they used.Raven Black Hair With Pink & Purple EndsLast week-end I was having lunch at a restaurant and the bar tender, a woman of color, had raven black hair with pink and purple ends. Her color was great and really popped.Much to the consternation of my dining companions I peeled off and headed to the bar to ask her about her hair. It was worth the effort.30 Volume Bleach & Paul Mitchell ColorShe was lovely and explained she had tried a number of things on her hair which did not work. One thing she said she had great hopes for was the SPLAT color which is supposed to work on dark hair colors. Unfortunately it didn’t work for her.The bartender said she finally had to go to a hair colorist, have the ends bleached with 30 volume bleach and then have Paul Mitchell colors applied to the ends.Best Buy Guy’s Dip Dyed StrandsI also met a very cool guy at Best Buy who had very dark brown hair and vibrant purple ends. After apologizing for being rude, I asked him if he had to bleach the ends to get the color. He told me the only thing he found worked against his dark hair was to bleach out the ends and then he applied Manic Panic. It looked great.Bleach For Best ResultsBottom line? Either have someone help you bleach your ends and apply your dream color or go to a color expert at a salon and have them do it for you.I know bleach has a lot of issues, but when applied to just your ends, you can always trim off any damage. There are some color brands which promise you can dip dye the ends without bleach, but so far everything I’ve heard indicates it;s difficult with less than fabulous results.Sometimes you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Only you can decide what you’re willing to do in order to achieve your dream hair color look.Colored Chalks Or SimilarIf you want to go with temporary color, you could play with colored chalks or similar. However, those wash out with every shampoo. The only other option is to go with clip-ins in vibrant colors, which would not only add color to your ends, but would still look very edgy.Good luck to you.DISCLAIMER: I neither sell nor promote any companies, their products, nor do I have any online shopping outlet of my own to promote.
