I Want To Get A Part Time Summer Job But

What is the best part-time job for a summer vacation?

Summer vacations can be extremely useful if spent in a productive way. Back in my days we used to start playing cricket from morning 6-10 and again from 12-2 then from 4-dark. All this in Delhi's hot climate! There was no Quora or internet then. However, gradually I learnt to use my vacations in a productive way. 10 ways to spend your vacations in a productive way:Focus on health. This will probably be the only time when you can willingly get up in the morning and go for a walk or jog. Do it. Meditate too.Take up a sport. Cricket, football, basketball or swimming. Do what you love and play it. Not just play but practice. Improve everyday. Eat 3+ times. Your parents(mum) will be happy to see you healthy. Don't disappoint them by skipping meals. Read. Become a member of a local libraby or Justbooks and read as many books as you can. It doesn't matter what you are reading as long as you are reading something. Comics, novels anything. A part time job. Yes, now I am answering your question. Data entry jobs are good. Sales jobs are good. You can also work at some restaurant or supply store. Depending on your interest and expertise, there are opportunities. Lot of startups are also looking to hire. PM me for Bangalore.  Watch movies. I love them and hence I will recommend you to finish this list: IMDb Top 250 and AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies . You will not regret. No TV. Abssolutely no to TV. Under any circumstances, do not watch TV. Computer and internet has pretty much every thing you would like to learn. So no TV and no social media. Quora is your aid. Spend as much time as you can here. I wish I had your time and but alas, I have responsibilities to handle. Learn from everyone. Learn interesting topics, learn how Tip writers think. Be productive. Improve your writing skills. Pursue your hobby in full stream. It will take you a long way. Do what excites you and get submerged in it. Spend time with your family. Everyday else, you'll be in a hurry. Either for classes, tutions , homework or friends. Spend some quality time with your family and help your mum in house hold work. I have explained about job only in point 5 because in the initial years you have to focus more on building your knowledge than bank balance. Plus, the money you'll earn will be peanuts and you'll end up spending on not so useful things.

How early should you apply for summer part time jobs?

LOOK FOR A JOB NOW!!!!!!!! Right now in the economy jobs are extremely hard to get and hold onto to it.

I’m 17 and I’m trying to get a part time summer job at my local movie theater. I got to the interview stage. How should I prepare for the interview?

Two thoughts:I’d recommend thinking through situations you’ve already been in that would help you do this job well. Focus on the work: serving people, helping them have an enjoyable outing, maintaining a clean space etc. Then use the STAR technique. This is for behavioral interviewing but could apply to almost any question related to the work itself. You can look up common questions in different businesses to get a sense of what they may ask.https://www.vawizard.org/wiz-pdf...What is the STAR Interview Response Technique? Also, think about a few good questions that get the person interviewing you talking. This makes them feel in charge, knowledgable and believe you are interested in the job. This makes you professional, interesting, mature and likable.

I'm still 16 years old and I want to have part-time job. How can I find part time jobs in Jakarta?

Have you considered Starbucks barista?I was applying for their part-time barista when I was in college. Just for the sake of having job experience that is not related with my area (i.e. economics). From what I heard, the salary is quite nice compared to other f&b joints. Additionally, a free beverage for every 4 hours and being stationed in a crowd area, with air-conditioned store.Be mindful tho. The reason why I was rejected was they expected 6-month working tenure, while I only had 3-month summer holiday. They also expect you to work 20–40 hours, with 4 or 8 hours per work shift. Working in retail can be also quite damning, you know. That’s why it’s called retail therapy for buyer but retail torture for the service provider. Also, not quite sure 16 years old is in their age range but there’s no harm to ask them right?Other alternatives for part-time job: courses teacher (english, math, foreign language, etc), paid volunteer for any event, paid audience for tv live shows.

Scared to get a part-time job? (I'm 15)?

I'm 15 and want to get a part-time job (in the summer of 2018) but I'm scared. I'm kind of shy around people I don't know, so it's definitely going to be hard communicating with people. Also, I'm scared about job interviews and etc. I don't want my parents to help me get the job (like to call the hiring manager, themselves), I want to do myself D; HELP PLEASE. What to do?

How much money can I make with a full-time summer job?

I'm seventeen years old and need to start saving up for college... I also want to buy a lap top, and the one I have my eye on is almost six hundred dollars. I want to make as much as possible this summer by getting a full-time job. But I could probably only find a job at a local restaurant or store. (Please give me specific ideas if you have any, by the way! Maybe WalMart, Target, Arctic Circle, Wendy's...?) Anyway, if I were to work at a cheap place like that full-time (which would be 8 hours, right about four days a week, right?) how much could I get over the full summer vacation (just under three months)? Feel free to share any experiences you've had as well :)

My Parents Want Me to have a FULL Time Job?

I'm a woman who just turned 40 and am single. I am what you call a free spirit. I recently was fired from a data entry job about six months ago. With no money for rent, my parents let me move back home. It's been half a year, and they're now bone sick of me. My mother especially has been nagging me to get a full time job. But refuse.

I do work 2 days a week at a coffee shop called Cup of Joe's. I work four hours on Tuesdays and Fridays. I use the money for food and my prescriptions. Other then that, because my parents house is paid for, I don't contribute. My mother is perturbed, scolding me for "mooching" and telling me to get a job, or a man.

Times are tough though. I don't feel like working full time. I'm at an age now where I like to focus on doing other things with my time- like painting, blogging, Netflix and most of all-- sleeping. My mom says I am lazy, but I tell her that I've worked boring jobs all my life, I'm done. They are almost 70 now. I told my parents recently that I can just live with them and take over the house once they pass on, or decide to move into a retirement community. My father found this very rude apparently- and I overheard them whispering in their bedroom that I might be moving in with my mom's sister in Minnesota! Which is SO boring and not something I want to do!

Am I wrong for wanting an easy life?

High School Student, Part Time Job?

Hello guys, Well I'm 16 and I just wanted to ask a few questions and concerns because this has been bothering me for a while about getting a job and being a full time student at high school.

I'm Planning to get a job on the Last Day of School for my school district which is June 4. And on that day I'm planning to apply for a job because I need the money so badly!!!! But Also, I'm planning to Attend Summer School over the summer to get extra credit courses and get finished with my academic required courses so I won't have to take them in my senior year.
I want a job but I'll be taking summer school because I want to take extra credit courses, but I also need the money for my senior year. And also in addition to this, I'm planning to go to a 1 week summer camp program to NASA during the summer.
But I was just wondering because this has been bothering me for a while because I'm broke and my parents don't give me allowances : (.

1. Is it a good idea to have a job during the school year or summer school?

2. If I have a job, will my boss give me the number of hours or days I should work during the summer or will I make my own hour decisions, days etc...?(Like I want to work only 6 hours for a few days in a week during the summer but I don't know if that's up to the boss or me, I don't know.)

3. Will my boss let me have a week off of work for an important business? (Since I'm going on that NASA Field trip one week of the summer of 2009) Should I give my boss a notice or something?

4. Say that I'm working at the job even after my summer vacation is over right. And I get back to school and I have homework and stuff, Can I request to shorten the number of days and hours I can work during the school year. (Like during Summer Vacation, I plan to work for many hours and days. But when the School Year starts again, I only want to work on the weekends and a very minimum amount of time like 5 hours.)

Well that's all I have to ask guys, Please help me, because I'm sturggling with money and I need it badly and I want it by my senior year!!! I need to buy graduation stuff, class ring, etc...and I know my mom won't buy it, I come from a sort of poor family background, I live in a apartment, my mom pays bills and she hardly ever gives me any money, So I desperately need your help guys.

Thanks..

Should I work full time during the summer?

I have been finding a lot of good paying jobs on indeed but their all full time jobs and college semester ends on the 15th of may and doesn't start until late August. Should I get a full time job during the summer? If I get a job how could I possibly make it from a full time to part time job? Should you just ask the boss for it because I'll be going back to classes? My family says don't work full time but I need to earn money even if I have to work full time. Its at a car dealer if it helps out the situation.
