I Want To Get A Tattoo But .

How can i get a tattoo if im 17?

D I Y

Do you have any tattoos or do you want any in the near future?

I don’t have any yet, but that “yet” is a massive key word. I already have several planned out. What I have planned so far is:On my left arm, the VNV Nation logo with the following lyrics from their song Illusion underneath.“This world is just Illusion, always trying to change you.”Then this version of the Linkin Park logo on my left shoulder, basically right on top of my acromion process. Some day, I hope to have children, and for each one, I will get the rune Gebo tattooed over my heart. On my right hand I’m going to get a gun with a very prominent safety. The safety will be on. This was inspired by the Twenty Øne Pilots song Guns For Hands.Kind of in this style. Hey Emily, if you know of any pistols with prominent safeties, feel free to suggest some.On my right shoulder, I’m going to have a steel pauldron with fur sticking out, covered with runes such as Algiz, the runic compass, the Aegishjalmur, and Teiwaz.Kinda like the top portion, except covered in runes and also on a dude. And with a little less fur.And the last one is that someday I hope to get married. On my left, inner, forearm I’ll have my vows tattooed, and my spouse’s on my right.

Would you ever get a tattoo?

Definitely YES.I already have got inked twice.Tatto in my life is for purpose not just for showing off.1. My first tattoo is basically a name “LEAH” .It's a name I would love getting heard for lifetime. This name has been given by the person I really love.I don't know what does this name implies/means but I love when he calls me by this name.So my first tattoo goes for the person I love.2. My next tattoo is for my bestest friend I can't tell you how badly I admire, adore him.He inspires me so much that leaving him gives me tears in my eyes but still he doesn't like to talk to me anymore for some reason and that's ok.I truly respect his decision. As he doesn't talk anymore but I still have a faith that he would come back surely one day.I still miss him:)(:So here is my 2nd tattooPS- I used to call him by the name Ullu(english-OWL) so it's about YOU with a hope of coming back in my life. And yes I am very good with remembering dates so my first tattoo was done on 22/11/2014 and the 2nd one on 11/02/2017.

I'm a 15-year-old girl and I want to get a tattoo. Is it too soon for me?

Let's assume that all the other answers ("too young," "no money," "illegal," blah blah blah) have already been established. I'm not going to discredit these points, but they come off condescending and, more to the point, preach to a point that isn't really convincing. All that said, let's offer a far more personal and straight-forward answer that's relevant to you:The body of a 15 year old female is hardly done transitioning.Between growing and all the all-too-well-known changes happening, getting a tattoo just about anywhere on your body will serve an immediate gratification before falling victim to warping. You ever see a muscle-head who got a tattoo when he was a string-bean? How about somebody who got a tattoo when they were incredibly heavy but then decided to drop 100+ pounds? Tattoos distort with skin, and while you can't exactly plan ALL shifts and changes (who knows that you won't decide to be a body builder in 20 years and warp any ink you'd gotten before then) it stands to reason that if you're in the middle of a such a dramatic "transformation"--for lack of a better word--getting a tattoo now would be committing to a warped piece in only a few short years.Better to just make a note of the tatts you want now and rock them when they've got a "finished" canvas to work with.

I want to get a tattoo at 18, but my mom (who I will still live with) is against them. How to convince her?

Going to be tough to convince someone who does not have a tattoo. Personally I don’t know anything I would want on my body. Even when you consider I am 56 and the rest of my life is less than I have lived. My niece has 1 tattoo that is the date her mom passed. She was 30 when she had it done. It is small and on her foot (so she sees it every morning). That is very different than getting a sleeve done. Do you want it visible and have it as a talking point?Check out older people with a tattoo that you are thinking of getting. Are they still happy with it? You are injecting a foreign substance into your body. What are your thoughts on it from that perspective? If you get it and still live at home is it going to be a source of friction? Will that be worth it? What is the issue to wait until you are on your own. Be interesting to wait til then. See if you still want it.If it is written make sure the spelling is correct. Lots of spelling errors on tattoos. Images are a tough one too. There was a case of a parrot head jimmy Buffett fan. He wanted a tattoo of Jimmy on his back. The tattoo artist googled Buffett and the guy ended up with a tattoo of Warren Buffett instead over his entire back.Just kidding it never happened. But, that scenario strikes me as being funny.I suggest wait until you are on your own. If you still want it then have it done. If you don’t want it then that is something to think about. In the end your body and your decision to live with good or bad.

I want to get a tattoo, but I don't know what to expect.?

I want to get a tattoo of a sun (spiral center, yellow, orange, and red spikes) that I drew at work on my right shoulder blade. I know from my friends and co workers, most of whom have tattoos, that they are painful and require alot of care to prevent drying out and infection.

One thing that scares me is that i've read that there are needles involved. I am extremely scared of needles. Its more the puncture than the actual needle. I have a low threshold for pain, even though i've been kicked in the head, thrown my back out multiple times, had a pinched nerve in my neck, a neck sprain, and strong electric shocks shot through my arms and needles stuck in my thumbs, I figure that I could handle a tattoo.

Lower back is too cliche, i've heard that neck and ankle tattoos are beyond painful. I don't have alot of fat tissue to do one on. I doubt I would regret it when i'm older.

How much do you feel the needle, and what should I expect if I have one done?

I want a tattoo but my husband doesn't want me to get one...?

This question is trickier than most people think. Anyone who has been with a person for an extended period of time and is accustomed to making decisions together will understand why you are in fact "torn". I feel for you. I have been with the same man for 11 years now. We haven't always been good about making our decisions together or even agreeing for that matter, but we do understand how our bodies are our own and neither one of us can tell the other what to do with it. BUT, we do have the right to express our opinion whether it be negative or positive. You husband has every right to disagree with your decision and to tell you how he doesn't want you to get a tattoo, but he doesn't have a right to stop you. Whats the worst that could happen? He could divorce you? Well, if he divorces you over body art than the heck with him is what I say. Love is a really tricky road to navigate and there tends to be more fighting that kissin' and lovin', but one thing is for sure, you need to tell you husband that you respect his opinion and you have considered it. And really do that if you are going to say that, then tell him that if you don't get this tattoo, you will regret it forever. Because if you really do feel as deeply or as passionately about getting it as you say in your question, then you should really do it. Nobody likes to have regrets. Ever.

I want tattoos but am scared I'll regret it. Do I go for it?

I was scared I’d regret my tattoos the first time I was getting one too. I had always wanted them. I think what’s important is that whatever you get is important to YOU. It means something. Don’t go to some ghetto place where they are going to charge $100.00 for a piece that should really be $600.00. If you’re going to have it on your body for the rest of your life, just spend the money and make sure it’s well done.A big reason people “regret” tattoos is because their family or friends don’t like the fact that you have them or maybe they are okay with tattoos, just not the ones you got, or if they are visible, etc. But it is YOUR body and YOU decide what goes on it. I like to think of the body as a blank canvas that we get to be creative with and express our life journeys in that way. All of my tattoos mean something very special to me whether other people understand it or not.I thought having a tattoo would be intense and that I would regret that it’s there but now I have 6 tattoos (a couple pretty big ones) and I don’t even notice them. Once you have them, it’s just not as much of a big deal or as noticeable as you thought it would be. Which is why people always say once you get one tattoo, you’re going to get multiple. I don’t think I’ve ever met a single person with one tattoo that doesn’t at least plan on getting another one. And I’d also rather spend a great amount of money on what’s going on my body the rest of my life than some china cabinet full of fancy shit I’m never going to use. Every day I’m reminded of my struggles that I have overcome just by the ink on my body and that makes my life so much more beautiful.Your body is beautiful and if you want to put a bunch of art on it then do it. Fuck everyone else and do what makes you happy.(Mic drop )

I want to get a tattoo but I have acne on my back does that affect me at all?

It's not that I don't want to clear up my acne. I'm on 2 topical medications for it and I am also on an antibiotic for it so it isn't horrible but i do get flare ups, I don't pick at them though.
