I want to get lean and muscular, should I cut or bulk first?

It depends whether you are willing to potentially gain fat in the short term, in order to retain muscle mass in the long term. The standard bodybuilding cycle consists of bulking and cutting. During the bulking stage, you should be consuming more calories than you normally would, primarily protein and carbs, and lifting for hypertrophy. This should last for a few months, according to your own plan. Gaining fat is expected during this period. After this comes the cutting stage. When cutting, the goal is to retain the muscle mass you have put on, and get your body fat down. This is done by dieting, and continuing to lift regularly. At this end of this cycle, your body should look substantially better than it did before.TL;DR,Maintain a healthy diet, and lift regularly. Make sure to get your cardio in!

How should a 14 year old boy get muscular?

If you're going to start working out, start by eating right. Stay away from fatty foods and junk food because they put on fat calories and unnecessary carbs. You want to eat foods that are healthy and that are packed with protein. Foods like lean beef, steak, grilled boneless skinless chicken breasts, and fish. These foods are packed with protein and other key vitamins and minerals. You may want to get on a protein supplement, the best kind is a whey isolate protein. You will also want to get on a multivitamin to keep your body healthy. Don't consult GNC because they will try to put you on a weight gainer and that is just filled with sugars, fat calories and tons of unwanted carbs. Now to start with exercises. I play football and do the workout that our strength coach devises but in the off season I have a personal trainer at the local gym. Since you are still young and just want to be fit, get a free weights home gym, preferrably one that you can squat in. You will want to do workouts like bench, in bench aka close grip, squat, curls, etc. Also, for abs, just do crunches every day, I do 3 sets of 50 reps on my Ab Lounge but you can do them laying down on the floor and you can tone it down some. If you look online there is numerous web sites that have really good workout plans but the best one that I found is www.bodybuilding.com. They have a great online supplement store and have awesome workout plans that you can do. Good luck!

How can i get my pit bull real muscular?

No,No, No. Your going about it all wrong. Protein and exercise is the way to achieve muscle and maintain great health. So feed healthy protein, such as eggs and quality meat. The chain is a awful idea. Pit bulls have weak windpipes, and can easily crush them if they pull too hard on a chain. Super bad idea. Pit bulls are naturally hyper, so being outside playing is enough for a pup her age. When she gets older you can start running her regularly, and that's when she will build muscle. Just like we can't have muscle bound bodies as kids, neither can puppies. They don't have the proper hormones for body building yet. You can start a good protein diet now, and as she gets older add an exercise routine.
Just remember large amounts of fat are unhealthy. Don't give fat to your dog. You won't see good results that way. Just an unhealthy dog. Don't use a chain, and don't rush her growth.
I hope you just want a pretty pit bull. I'd hate to think I helped you otherwise.

I want to get fit and muscular but I’m very busy in my workdays, how can I achieve my fitness goals?

In all honesty if you want to reach your fitness goals you may need to prioritize what’s most important to you in this season of your life.Your job and school are important things in your life right now, but you seemed to be interested in wanting to get fit and muscular. While getting fit is a great goal it’s not that realistic to make changes to your body by only training on weekends. In order to build muscle I would say you could do 2 things:Train at least 4 times a week so that you hit every muscle group.Do full body workouts only 3 days a weekNumber 2 may be a better fit for you because you only have to add another day.If building a muscular body is what you truly want, you’ll make the sacrifice to add in just one more day.A full body workout would look like this:Train Every other day like Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.I know you train on weekends but I would try this to see if it will work for you. These workouts do not have to be that long, 30–40 minutes only.Try and find a gym near your job or school.Another suggestion would be to workout during your lunch break (you’ll have to be very prepared to accomplish this)You could also do “at home” body-weight workouts that will only take you 8–10 minutes a day. Here are a few workouts you could do at home below:Body Weight Workouts Archives - TurnAroundFitness

I don't want to get beefed up but wish to be lean and muscular. What should I do?

You should train like the beefed up guys you don’t want to look like. That may sound ridiculous, but hear me out.As a dude who has been lifting weights a minimum of 5 times per week for the last 5 years, I’ve heard and seen just about every kind of person at the gym now.Even guys who don’t want to be very muscular. There’s nothing wrong with ^that^ by the way.I even once had a friend say to me, “I just want to build some muscle, but I don’t want to be as muscular as you are,” which made me nearly cry with joy. That was the first time I got called big. I was so happy!I gave him a full plan based on my education in the field of fitness. And guess what?He looks exactly the same. You know why? Because his initial goal was extremely misguided.Saying “I don’t want to get too big” is like saying “I don’t want to play basketball too much because I might accidentally make it to the NBA.”Being good enough to make it to the NBA is a matter of years of hard work, dedication, optimal training, and genetics. So is being one of those “beefed up” guys you mentioned. From Nerd Fitness. For example, this woman had been training with everything she had to build muscle for OVER 2 YEARS.Most people couldn’t become one of those beefed up guys if they tried. Also, it takes a LOOOONG time to build a lot of muscle. We’re talking years here. You’re not gong to wake up one morning looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger. So, my suggestion is this, train like a bodybuilder, weightlifter, powerlifter, or athlete, and work your ass off. When you notice that you’ve achieved the physique you want, let off the gas little. But, you may find that in the 1–2 years that it takes you to reach your goal, your goal might change. The Best Exercises For YouYou said you just want to make your chest and arms a bit bigger.I’d suggest you start with push-ups and pull-ups.The push-ups will take care of your chest and triceps (the muscle on the back of your arms). And the pull-ups will handle your biceps. If you have nowhere to do pull-ups around your house, go find a playground somewhere and do pull-ups on the monkey bars.If you can’t do pull-ups, check this out→ Wilfredo Thomas's answer to What's the best way to start doing pull-ups?PS If you want to learn how to build muscle based on science and research, my website is for you. How do I get really muscular at 17 years old?

You are at a perfect age and it’s nice of you to start lifting.First of all you have to eat right in order to build muscles. I guess by what you’ve said that you are an Ectomorph. Since it’s hard for you to gain fat, it’ll be hard to get muscles too. One of the things you have to know is that you have to create caloric surplus. What is that?A caloric surplus is when you eat more than you spend. Let’s say that you burn 2000 calories daily, but you eat 2500. That is the way go get some muscles. How to create a caloric surplus?By consuming healthy and planned diet. You have to do that in order to gain muscles. Your food has to be rich in proteins, healthy fats and healthy carbohydrates. I don’t know if you a vegetarian or vegan or meat-lover, but you can do it whatever you are. I can give you a quick example of how your diet should look like when you are on caloric surplus and you can moderate it as you wish. This is example of one day only:First meal (breakfast)-1.5 cups oatmeal, 1 serving of your protein, 1 cup soy milk/or low fat milk, 1 bananaSecond meal (snack)-½ block of tofu cheese, spinach and one small cucumber, 1 apple, 1 almond butter sandwichThird meal (lunch)-4 oz of chicken breasts, 1 avocado, 1 baked potato, salad4. Fourth meal (post workout snack)-1 banana, 1 serving of your protein, 1 cup soy milk/low fatFifth meal (dinner)-Lettuce salad, 1/2 cup cooked peas with 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/2 pound steamed broccoli.Meal six (snack)-1 can tuna fish with 2 slices of whole wheat breadP.S. When I make a diet, I like to make combinations of plant-based and meal-based food. This is just one small example of one day eating healthy for growing muscle mass. Also, I don’t like to consume too much dairy fat so I use low fat products. Now let’s move on on working out.First of all, you have to go to the gym often, not just 1–2 times a week. If you want to build solid muscle, you have to pick it up a notch. You can go for 4 days of weight training and 1 day of cardio.Ex. On Monday you work on your chest and triceps, Tuesday you work on legs, Wednesday is back and biceps, Thursday is rest, Friday is shoulders and arms, Saturday is cardio and Sunday is rest.If you are a beginner start with slow and eat right. After some time, when you build your strength, increase the weights and the gym.
