I Want To Go To America Need Help

I want to go America, but I don't have money. How can I go?

I’m not sure this is a serious question. If it is, then the question needs a lot a more detail. Why do you think money is the most relevant factor?Where do you live? What is your education? Do you want to visit, study, seek refuge, or immigrate? How long do you want to stay? What kind of work can you do? And how much experience do you have?Do you have special knowledge that the US government or a large business would like to have? Are you in a persecuted group in your country? Do you have relatives in the USA?There are plenty of ways to get into the United States, and plenty to get out. Now, if you don’t want to answer all these questions in a meaningful manner, I suggest you go to the nearest American Embassy or Consultant, go to the back corner, nearest to the United States, and look for the magic button that will print a visa and an airplane ticket. The button is red, white and blue.See you in New York!JF

I want to move to America?

Hey so I started this question before but I don't think I gave enough information. I would like to move to America when I am a bit older (I'm 16 now) to L.A possibly Venice Beach area, I don't want to do this because I have gained a false perspective of the country through T.V shows, I have visited America, around 13 times and have loved staying there each time, I do have family there but I don't think they would help me qualify for a visa as it is aunts and uncles. I would plan on going to university in England to study micro biology but would this degree be enough to help me qualify for a green card? Just a bit of help with the traits etc. you need to qualify , please don't just tell me that i shouldn't move. Thanks

I want to go to America. How?

You’ll almost certainly need to have a visa, which means applying for one well in advance of when you intend to travel. Lately it’s been a lot harder to get one, so I’m not sure I’d buy plane tickets until after your visa has been approved. My Vietnamese sister-in-law has tried applied for a visa a half dozen times over the last decade and has been turned down every time. On the other hand, I also know people who have had their visa approved the first time. I have no idea why this is. Oh - there’s a wait time estimate on the website liked to above - right now it’s say that it’s running less than a week in Seoul at the moment.Once you get a visa, then you’re good to go!

Do I have to tip waiters if I go to America?

Hi, I’m an Australian woman in my twenties and I want to travel to the USA one day. My question: is it compulsory to give tips to wait staff while visiting different American restaurants? What will happen if I don’t tip them? Here in Australia we do not give tips to waiting staff - we just pay the for the food and leave. Some restaurants do have one ‘tip jar’ that you can drop a few coins into if you want, but it’s not expected. If I go to America, I’m worried that I will forget to give tips to waiters. Please, provide me with advice regarding this. Thank you!

I'm american who wants to move to the philippines. I need advice. PLEASE.?

I am a retired Army Warrant officer, I also worked in the Information Security arena for over 20 years. My Filipina wife of 36 years and I retired to Bataan and it's a pleasure living off of my retirement and disability.

You cannot get a job in the Philippines as a foreigner, nor own property. I suggest you bring your fiancee to the U.S., make a living and earn a small retirement or establish a 401K. Then, retire to the Philippines if you both so desire.

Making the move now, without anyway of sustaining your existance will be dis-heartening.

I want to move to America so bad but I'm a young teen?

Hi:) I'm 14 years old and it's like my dream to move to America. I know that sounded pretty cheesy and corny but it just is . The problem is , is that I live in shitty Ireland and I can't move because we'll it's not up to me. I've asked my parents probably around 1000 times but they keep saying they can't. I've even dropped very easy hints about even just visiting America for a holiday but no luck. I've got my mind set on moving there when I'm older but that's years and years away :( Like i would have no problem just packing up and leave all my friends behind and just move there . I don't know what to do because all I can think about is living there! ( well not all the time , I'm not like a freak or anything) I just need some help figuring out what to do and how to cope with it.its so annoying ! :L I would really appreciate it , thanks so much! X :)

18 year old from uk wanting to move to america ; help.?

I want to go on holiday to America and will probably travel alone. Where is best?

My suggested locations you consider:

Boston: good public transportation. Lot's of history with respect to the American Revolution. City has a lot of character. Boston is a walking city, if you stayed in a hotel in the city proper you could easily walk to most attractions. From Boston you could take a train to either Portland Maine or NYC (or further).

New York City: Great public transportation, it's very safe (my 20 something daughter lives (since 2013), works and rides the subway in NYC), there are great galleries and museums. There is the whole 9/11 / ground zero experience. Manhattan should be on everyone's bucket list in my opinion. Lot's of flights from Europe to NYC to pick from. Downside is that it is the most expensive destination in the USA. Excellent value hotel in great location = The New Yorker.

Washington DC: For history/galleries/museums Washington DC can not be topped. You could spend multiple days visiting the Smithsonian alone. If you select lodging that is in the capital area you can walk to most of the attractions. You never know who you might see in the restaurants/bars in DC.

Williamsburg, VA: This is a recreation of colonial Williamsburg, it's south of Washington DC. I find it very interesting. It's also near Jamestown, VA the sight of the first British colony in the new world.

For European travelers I usually recommend the desert southwest, Arizona, S. California area as I reckon you will find the whole wild wild west atmosphere the most appealing? If you don't have a personal vehicle to get around this area will be a challenge. Sedona, AZ would probably interesting for you, but only for about 2-3 days - then what are you going to do? Go out west when you have a driver.
