I Want To Go To Disneyland What Should I Do

Do you need an I.D. to get into Disneyland?

Nope. No ID required. All you need is a ticket. You can purchase with cash or a with a credit card online or at Disneyland.

Whoever told you that probably just confused the former "Free on Your Birthday" program, or the "Give a Day, Get a Day" program that required you to have ID.

Why should I go to Disneyland?

That’s something you have to answer for yourself. Are you a big kid at heart, like me? Do you enjoy all things Disney? Do you want to escape from the everyday world for a little magic? Can you suspend your belief to imagine you’re actually flying over London with Peter Pan? Do you smile thinking about a mansion inhabited by 999 ghosts? Or do you think that all of that “crap is just for kids?” Or during your whole visit will you be thinking, “I spent this much money for this?” Do you see a wait time of 45 minutes and get irritated? Me, I’m 52 and would spend almost every day at Disney if I could. I love how the place makes me feel. Even though I have experienced Disneyland over 100 times, I would go again in a heartbeat. Why? Because I love the make believe. I enjoy the different lands and how none of them make me think of all the garbage going on in the world right now. I love going with other people who love Disney and going with first timers who get to see the wonder and beauty that can be found there. But you are not me… only you can decide if it’s worth it in the end.

If I was going to Disneyland for a day what rides should I go on?

Depends. If you want to get onto the cramped Fantasyland rides, go there first. Go early. Those lines get PACKED worse than almost anything later in the day. You'll want to pick a selection of those if you're bringing small kids. Otherwise, probably skip Fantasyland.

Other things to hit early, if you like roller coasters, are Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, and Indiana Jones and, to a lesser extent, Big Thunder Mountain. If you like roller coasters, these are must-rides, and they also get real crowded.

The Jungle Cruise is a fun ride, and a nice historical point about it is that it's an original ride: it was there when the park opened in 1955.

Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion are must-rides, whether you like roller coasters or not.

If you're a big fan of trains, the railroad is good to do. Walt was a lover of trains, so this is a scale model replica (3/8 like Main St. USA, I think), and it's also an original ride. Toward the end as you approach the front of the park I think there's a dinosaur fossil replica embedded in the side of the hill. Don't know if it's still there, but it was long ago when I saw it.

Small World is worth seeing too, though I'd say it's a second-tier ride. So is Splash Mountain, though--warning--it has a loong drop at the end.

Bunch up your rides as much as possible (do Pirates and Haunted Mansion one after the other for instance), since moving around loses you valuable time. Also do your best to take advantage of FastPass, especially with rides like Space Mtn.

New Year's Eve in Disneyland?

The whole month of December at disneyland is really neat. During the fireworks display there's these bubble machines that make tiny bubbles that make it look like it's snowing. It's really neat to see it look like its snowing there. (especially because we don't get it lol.)

The months of June, July, August and December are the busiest times at Disneyland. Because of vacations.. It's still worth it though! If you go on New years Eve, go early in the morning I think it opens at 9 or 10AM may be earlier because of NYE. And DONT leave the park... because they may stop letting people back in...just rest in the shade and stuff over there and get lockers for coats and stuff.

I'd maybe plan 2 days at disneyland... that way if NYE sucks because of sooo many people, you have another day to go there and ride the rides.. because it gets crazyy lol.

Have fun!

If 14-year-old daughter wants to go to Disneyland, What should I do if I don’t have the money?

I told my kids to work and save. I told them I would be happy to transport them to LA, AND provide adult supervision when they could pay for the entire trip.We went to Disney World instead. (From New Mexico) My older 3 worked to get the funds together for a couple of years. We had a fantastic trip. It taught them to that if it was to be, it was up to them to do it. They valued it much more than if I had just taken them and given them money to spend. There are many ways for teens to make money, everything from babysitting to mowing lawns and shoveling snow. They get a real sense of self worth out of it as well.

Second date at Disneyland?

I think it is a great idea to go to Disneyland for a second date! While I think spending the whole day there would be good, it is your decision to only want to go for part of the day and that is ok! I understand you feel alittle weird about spending the entire day there with him, its a new relationship.

Anyway.. If you go on Friday, it will be dark for a good portion of the time. Night time at Disneyland is always more romantic, but since it is only your second date, I don't know if that is something you want or not. If you go on Sunday it will be light out the whole time and will be a more friendly atmosphere for getting to know your new guy. Considering this, I would say Sunday is better.

But.... on the other hand, if you go on Sunday, will your date think it is weird of you to want to leave there so early in the afternoon? If so, then going Friday may be better because you can go after school and it won't be an option to spend the whole day there. I hope this makes sense.

The decision is yours... if you think he may be offended by you wanting to leave early in the afternoon, then go on Friday. If you want a less romantic atmosphere, go on Sunday. Either way you'll have fun I'm sure!

Good luck! Don't forget to look at the weather and crowds before deciding as well.
