How to install windows on SSD?
Okay. I’ve been literally doing this for 18hrs so anything helps. I bought an SSD to upgrade my HDD and am trying to install windows on it. I have a USB with the windows setup in it. All other drives are unplugged so I already did that the sector is 4K on this one and my HDD is 512 so I can’t clone it. Whenever I am selecting a Drive to install windows on I select it and it says it cannot install on it because it cannot be partitioned. When I create a partition it says it cannot be installed because the system may not have access to it. I already changed the bios to ahci so I know that’s not the issue I’ve seen countless of YouTube videos and non have solved my problem. The drive can be read by my computer and I know it’s not doa. Anything helps thanks!

It`s very hard to install a different os once you`ve installed ubuntu. I had to overwrite my drive on an old computer I bought with ubuntu installed, before it would let me install xp, and that was from normal xp install disc. If the netbook came with xp, I would restore factory settings, that`s if you haven`t formatted the restore partition. Once you get xp back, you might be able to install 7 from within Windows using the usb stick or try again to boot from the usb stick. EDIT. Sorry forgot.....................
