I Want To Know About Homes Sale Laguna Beach

How do people afford million dollar homes in California?

They are leveraged to the hills! Literally the hills… Laguna Hills, Woodland Hills, Hollywood Hills…Living in California is awesome. There is great weather, endless outdoor activities, great food, beautiful people, fresh produce, etc…But it is damn expensive. In most of America, and the world, a million dollar house would mean that you are living in a palace with fancy cars and a full on staff of workers. In California, living in a a million dollar house doesn’t mean squat.Ever hear of “house rich and money poor?”That’s most of California.People are willing to pay that price for the quality of life they want. Is that crazy? Maybe. But you could also say it’s crazy to live in a place you don’t like.So how do people afford to live in California?Like I said before, they leverage themselves big time. They take out huge loans to buy houses. They also work several jobs and hustle as much as possible. Any newcomer to LA or SF can vouch for how hard it is to break in to the workforce - it’s ultra competitive.Of course, not all of California is expensive… but a lot is… and people are willing to pay for it.

Why are Lauren Conrad's parents moving/selling their laguna beach home?

I think it must be related to the financial crisis. Lauren's father is an architect and as the real estate market is suffering, architects are suffering as well. I remember during "Laguna" they said they (Lauren's parents) were building their dream house and that they weren't moving again. Who would leave a beautiful (but very expensive) place like Laguna unless they couldn't afford to live there anymore.

How Much do apartments cost in los angeles?

Hollywood--in and around the Hollywood Blvd./Highland Ave. area--isn't particularly dangerous, I walk around there a lot in day and at night (though usually not after midnight or so) and I've never been mugged or anything. You can get a decent apt. there for around $1000-$1200 a month.

How much does it cost to build a house in Orange County, CA?

You will need to take into consideration: real estate sales compatibles, site location (Flat or hillside), neighborhood( Garden Grove vs Laguna Beach), soil conditions ( sand, rock, expansive soil) baseline materials used (ie wood, steel, concrete) , finish materials (ie tile from Italy), layout of home, number of stories, the use of technoloby (ie smart home), Misc fee costs (architecture, interior design, structural engineering civil, MEP) , development costs (utility connections, site), agency fees (permit, school , development, public works)In Orange County, for entry level clients that are trying to figure out hard costs for construction I suggest a range from $125 / s.f to $175 / s.f . For middle level clients I suggest a range from $180 / s.f to $245 / s.f . For high end clients I suggest a range from $250 / s.f to $500 / s.f . For a full project budget add at least an additional 30% to your hard costs.

Allied Real Estate School - scam?

I wish to echo what Son Of Man and Andy stated about Allied, it is one of the best real estate schools in California to attend to prepare you for your real estate exam and license requirements.

This is all the school do is prepare you to take and pass your state real estate exam. Taking a class through any school does not guarantee that you will be successful in any endeavor that you attempt. This include you attending a four year university such as USC, Stanford or Georgia Tech, there is no guarantee that you will be successful or even that you will complete the requirements of the school and graduate.

Success after the completion of any course or schooling is really up to the individual.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

"FIGHT ON"

Newport Beach or Long Beach California?

I have lived in Newport for 2 years and have been living in Long beach for 5 years now.

I liked living in Newport, but overall the people are stuffy and kind of rude. The police have nothing better to do than harass people for minor traffic violations (got a ticket for turning my turn signal on and changing lanes to quickly).

Pros for Newport - Clean, beautiful beaches, lots of stuff to do.

Cons- Rude people, VERY expensive to do anything, no parking, all new development track homes packed really, really close together

LB
pros - Reasonable prices, beautiful homes, a sense of history, nice real people

cons - some neighborhoods not the nicest, North Long beach

Perfect solution is.........................Belmont Heights!

Has the Newport feel and is a lot less expensive and boarders long beach. I would look into moving to Belmont Heights or Belmont Shores.

Best of luck!!

Where do rich people live in California besides Beverly Hills?

there are a lot of wealthy communities in CA on the beach, but many don't have marinas. if they have a yacht, it's probably in marina del rey, not the same city where they live. newport beach in nearby Orange County is one of the wealthiest communities in the US and has countless docks for all the very rich people who live there to keep there yacht. never the less, some very rich communities near Hollywood are: hollywood hills, bel air, westwood, brentwood, pacific pallisades, manhattan beach, calabasas, and the famous malibu. good luck

Moving from Oklahoma to California?

I lived there most of my life. Pay is good, work is findable. Housing, is crazy expensive.
If its cheap its in a ghetto. Sorry there are no cheap places left in So Cal. My daughter has a regual 2 bedroom apartment, its 1475.00 a month, nothing fancy, nothing great. Not even a big apartment either.
Areas to look at.
Westminster. Huntington Beach, look like off of McFadden Ave and Golden West or Bolsa Chica Road. Tustin is really nice. Almost the entire city.
Seal Beach, Newport, Laguna out of control crazy expensive. Huntington has some apts that are affordable but still over a grand for rent.
