I Want To Know About Iiae International Institution Of Aeronautical Engineering Give Me Some

So I want to take up aeronautical engineering. I am currently in my 12th grade. Should I do mechanical engineering and then spealise in aeronautical abroad or take up aeronautical directly? Which way will ensure a good job?

If you are passionate about Aerospace then you can go for it. If you are very sure that you want to do Masters abroad (Aerospace or Mechanical ) then taking Aerospace is not a bad option at all. But take Aerospace only if you can get it in the top colleges of India- IIT-K, IIT-b, IIT-M, IIT -Kharagpur. Being in Aerospace will let you explore you a wide range of Interesting subjects.  You become almost sure which is the specialization you want to choose for your Masters (Controls, Aerodynamics, Propulsion and Structures ). Aerospace Profs in India, are well aware of the struggles of a student in this sector in India and are very generous in their recommendations for students wishing to pursue their education abroad. Aerospace is a glamorous discipline to follow, if you are willing to work for defense institutions of other countries and willing to take up their citizenship. It takes time and if you are willing to go for Phd, Post doc then the best option would be to start with Aerospace Bachelors, which will help you properly prepare your mind for a specialization topic for MS in Aerospace. It will basically allow you to take a well informed decision.Mechanical is actually a good option for MS if you are planning to return back to India. This degree has ample opportunities in India. Aero will have opportunities too in India in future with increased budget for Defense Expenditure. Also many areas of Mechanical and Aerospace Converge so you can easily specialize in a topic and work for Aerospace Institution. MS is about working in a particular topic of your Interest, It shouldn't matter if the topica is in mech or Aerospace. There are many Aero Profs in IIT-b who has mech degrees with only the Aerospace Phd. But decide logically, and don't let your judgement be clouded by emotions and heard talks of relatives or just that Aerospace means 'NASA'. Personally, I am an Aerospace B.Tech going for MS in Mechanical - Thermofluids since this area is common to both Aero and Mech.

Is there any scope for aeronautical engineers in india?

I am an aeronautical engineer, pursuing my master’s education in aerospace engineering in the United States. So, I think I am quite adept at answering this question.Aerospace engineering, as some pointed out, is a combination of two intertwined sciences: Astronautical Engineering and Aeronautical EngineeringAstronautical Engineering refers to the science of flying specifically in the outer space. Therefore, space science is very closely related to astronautical engineering.Aeronautical Engineering is the subject dealing with aerial machines and their complete functioning in various domains such as structures, aerodynamics, propulsion, and avionics. In India, you have institutes mostly offering Aeronautical Engineering. Now coming to the scope for aeronautical engineering in the country, I won't bluff but it's pretty meagre. It's tough to secure a job post your bachelor's. Of course, there are a few government companies such as DRDO, HAL, and NAL; but most of them require recommendations to get in or may have their own entrance exams especially in the case of IIST to later on join ISRO.When I graduated from my undergraduation studies in 2015, none of us got a job in a core aerospace firm. And our college, although not an IIT or NIT, was an acclaimed institution for aeronautical engineering. Most of us had to go for Infosys or Google to find some employment.I did have a chance to do an internship at Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) which was rewarding. But you still cannot deem it to be great and in most likelihood need connections to get through the door. So, in short I'd say, the scope for aeronautical engineering in India isn't great. But of course, master’s degree from an IIT or NIT would definitely help, but don't dream to be a rich man by your degree. That's just not happening! Finally, pursue Aerospace for the love of aerial machines, flight, aviation, sky, and aeroplanes; and not for riches and a super comfortable, effortless life!

Which institutes are good for AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) course in India?

Its not tough to become an AME engineer in present scenario with right method , right vision, hardwork and right institute one can easily become an AME . There are many OPPORTUNIES arising out of aviation sector which are creating numerous jobs opportunities in india and abroad with perks and handsome salary ….Institutes in india where you can pursue your ame course1.Bharat Institute of aeronautics2.IIAe Pune3.Hindustan academy4.Same college ( school of aircraft and maintenance engineering)Eligibilty :Eligibility Criteria10+2 Pass with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as major subjects.Minimum age at the time of admission is 16 years.Medical fitness certificate issued by Registered Medical Practitioner.COURSESCATEGORY A 1-LINE MAINTENANCECategory A1 licence is Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers licence to cover Jet Engine Powered Aeroplanes. The holder of category A1 licence directly employable with out Type-Rating. He is authorised to issue 'CRS' (Certificate of Release to Service) to an aircraft after minor scheduled line maintenance and simple detect rectifications as per the authorisation issued by the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation or Airlines employing him/her.CATEGORY B 1.1-BASE MAINTENANCECategory B1.1 Basic Licence includes all the privileges of category A1. After attaining Type Rating for a particular aircraft, the person becomes a full fledged Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to cover maintenance, repair, replacement or rectification of structure, engine, mechanical, electrical & Hydraulic systems for that type of aircraft.

What is the scope after doing aircraft maintenance engineering?

Practically Nothing!! Until & unless you know someone really influential in civil aviation, it's of no use to do AME.To cite an example I did AME from a college in Pune. The college ran in a 500 square yards building where the owner of house lived on ground floor and our college which was on rent had its admin block, library, labs, classes, hostel and mess on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and top floor of the same house.AME is a specialized license course, so if you don't get a job in civil aviation you might end up wasting 3 crucial years of your life. It holds no significance outside civil aviation sector.Although AME is a technical course, it doesn't include Engineering Mathematics in its curriculum. The semester mark sheets which I got from there were handwritten which sometimes feel forged.I gave ₹10,000 just to do an OJT in a flying club in Raipur (Chattisgarh) along with four more friends of mine. We used to toil hard in soaring high temperatures with no hangar facility. To add cherry to the cake, flying club was shut down owing to some financial crisis and all our hopes of getting a job over there turned bleak.Moving ahead I applied in a non scheduled operator in Raipur (Chattisgarh) to gain experience, to which I got an unfavourable reply along with the reason that there are no vacancies for a trainee at present. On the same day my friend joined as a trainee in the same place, because he had one of his relative working over there.Later on, in order to gain experience of heavy aircraft I joined a non scheduled operator in Pune, again as a trainee and that too after paying ₹15,000 to trainee incharge over there.Later on, I gave an interview for the post of technician in a reputed airline company in New Delhi where I wasn't able to make cut to the final list.Amidst all this I sent resumes to many companies and visited many more personally, but nothing helped my cause of getting a job. Moreover, there is a lot of disparity in the salaries of a technician and an engineer. Only a few get a chance to become engineer and rest of the people are left behind as mere spectators.Final Verdict: If you want to screw your life, go for AME.
