How can a non-EU medical graduate get into a residency in the UK?

Being an IMG and getting into residency training  in UK is uphill task.UK and europeans are given these training jobs first by law. Left over seats if any are given to IMGs.To qualify  you need the following1- pass ielts 7.5 each band2- pass 2 part of PLAB medical license exam3- apply 2 year Foundation training(house Job equivalent) Then4- apply 2 years speciality training jobs medicine or SurgeryThen5- Apply 4 -5 years of sub speciality traing job eg dermatology cardiology etcIn theory its possible, practically there are not enough left over seats for IMGs . All most all seats are taken by UK graduates and europeans . IMGs wait years and years , few get lucky. Its easy for IMGs to get into non training jobs , where job is non progressive and you are never going to be cobsultant.

From which Indian bank did you take an education loan for an MS in US studies? If you have re-paid the loan amount, in how much time did you do it? Was there any pre-payment penalty?

I am student who is trying for fall '15. I am sharing the knowledge of over seas education loan.1) State Bank of India - provides loan up to 30L. Interest rate is 12.5% per annum. The repayment of loan starts after 6 months of completing MS or after getting job whichever is earlier. You have to repay the loan within 7 to 7.5 years after MS. This loan repayment strategy is same for all types of "State Banks", what is different is the interest rate and loan amount is 20L.2) State Bank of Hyderabad - provides Max loan up to 20L with ROI of 12.7%.3) Canara Bank - Provides loan up to 20L with interest rate of 11.6% per annum, but the repayment period is just 5 years after completing MS.4) HDFC Bank - CREDILA is the scheme under which educational loan is given. There are two cases:a) They provide loan up to 25L (property need not be shown if the loan amount required is 25L). Interest rate is 12.9% per annum. b) If the loan amount needed us more than 25L, then property needs to be evaluated and interest rate is 13.5%. For the both cases above, you will have same period of 7 to 7.5 years for repayment.I don't know about other banks.Of the above 4 banks, HDFC educational loan gets approved very soon.If you have plans of working in US after MS then you can repay it easily in 2 to 3 years. If you cone back to India after MS and if u think if repaying, it will take more than 6 years

What is the difference between tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 colleges?

Well, this review is according to me and might not be the real definition. But still it might give you and overview of in which category your college falls in.Tier 1 Colleges: These colleges are those colleges which have been already established and have an elite alumni background. These colleges are namely the network of IITs, NITs, BITs and some other colleges. They run majorly due to their students. These colleges have international links, esteem level students ( in major quantity, leaving the reserved ones) and major resources. These colleges already have that reputation and companies have a mindset to get great work forces out of these colleges.Tier 2 Colleges: These colleges are those which are not as greatly established as the Tier 1 colleges, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have brilliant people studying there. Each year these colleges have a reputation to maintain. These institutes majorly lack in resources and student power. This is so because there majority of students are those who either failed to clear JEE or other exams or they were a bit late or took this decision in a hurry. But that doesn’t mean that tier 2 college students cannot be successful. They have equal chance to succeed as that of tier 1 college student or a tier 3 college student. Success isn’t a college dependent entity, it’s a student dependent entity. Thus these colleges lack in resources and mostly provide a bit costly education as compared to that of some tier 1 colleges.Tier 3 Colleges: These colleges are those which have recently been opened and lack many things that tier 1 and 2 colleges have. These colleges attract abundant of those students who just wanted to pursue engineering due their parents or some other reason. The reason can be that they didn’t want to leave their hometown or someone misguided them. But this doesn’t mean that they won’t succeed. The only thing that they won’t have is the links, resources and help from seniors (in other words, student power). They would have to cover the requisite on their own and this is a positive thing that they might end up being superior that a tier 1 or a tier 2 student. The only thing is that they have to put in some extra effort.
