I Want To Know What My Rate Should Be For Watching My Neighbors Animals While They

How much should I pay my neighbor to water my plants while I'm out of town?

I am going out of town for two weeks. The college kid next door has agreed to water the plants on my patio every other day while I am gone. What would be an appropriate amount to give him? Thanks!

Do houses on corner lots have higher crime rates than their neighbors?

i've fallen hard for a house on a corner lot. my husband is concerned that it would be more susceptible to crime as a result of higher visibility. is this the case? i'll truly be heartbroken if it is. :(

My neighbor is throwing stones into my garden?

I hate this kind of situation, now listen:

DO NOT UPSET HIM. Why? Because laws don't do anything to protect our beloved animals.

Tell him that you will fix the problem, that you are trying to teach him to stop barking. DO NOT call the cops, it will upset him. If he harms your dog he won't be in much trouble, even if you love your dog more than a human. You want to have good relations with that son of b i t.ch because if he gets mad he might hurt your dog, who knows how far he could go.

Please go and see him, tell him that you are really sorry about your dog's nuisance and that you are now working on it and doing everything you can to fix the situation. Let him be cool with you. Best regards

Yes it is against the law to throw stones but police ain't going to do much, don't call the pigs please or he will be upset, you don't want him to be upset trust me, if he does something to your dog police won't do anything either. No law is going to protect you here

I know but you just can't do anything because the day that he is going to poison your dog it will be doomsday for you, be gentle, I am in the same situation except that my neighbor ain't throwing rocks, just insulting me every week or so,while the other neighbors are saying that there is no prob with my dogs and that he is overreacting, I still do my best to keep him cool because I don't want no drama even if he is 100% wrong, and I am not saying your neighbor will go that far nor that my neighbor will but you are never completely sure

What do you think of hunting? I think it's disgusting but want to hear other people's thoughts.?

I live and hunt Alaska.

Unlike you - I dont have a big choice in what my one or two stores carry for meat. If they want $10lb for junk - you pay $10 for junk.

Unlike you - I actually have moose that wander threw my neighborhood every few days, and we have a caribou herd that lives 100 miles up the road. Typical caribou is over 500lbs on the hoof. Moose - 3 times that. We usually send the hide out for tanning, or, donate it to a local charity. The bones we dont use for soups - our neighbors doggies take care of. We make steaks and roast from the rear quarters and back area. The front quarter makes good pot roasts and burger. The lower part of the quarters go for stew meat, breakfast sausage, jerky etc. About the only thing we do not eat are the guts - excpet I love the heart and liver.

Nice thing about harvesting your own steaks, roasts, and hamburg from wild game - no injected hormones, preservatives, or antibiotics have been added to the animal. No worries about e-Coli because we handle it all ourselves.

Something you dont know. I'm 'ok' with people like you who 'love' the outdoors and cute little critters and animals. I'm fine with it. However - you are not the one paying to keep all those animals on dry land or in good health - I am. The tax on my guns and ammo - it pays for 110,000+ acres of wildlands each year that will be used for animals to live on and never see a mall or condo. The money I pay in hunting license and duck stamps - it pays the salaries of the biologists and people who count the animals, take samples - and make sure we have enough animals for the future.

Sierra Club, Friends of Wildlife etc - including you - have not bought one single square inch of land - or - offered to relocate and save one animal. All their money goes to slick New York City Maddison Ave agencies that dream up new Ad Campaigns and pay for thier CEO jets and new offices. Not one dime to animals.

That fresh meat, canned ham, sausage, hamburger, and other meatty goodies you eat - someone had to watch it die so you could have a snack. Difference is - you pay $$ to have someone else do the dirty work for you. At least I am honest enough to go out and do it myself.

Can cats tell when their owners are sick?

Yes, animals are amazingly receptive to their owners. When you're getting sick, your body goes through various changes. Everything from your scent (breath and body odor), heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and even how you physically feel changes. Animals sense these changes long before you will. Even your moods and body languages, an animal can detect. When an animal is close with you, whether it is a cat, dog, bird, etc, they will act accordingly to how you feel and your conditions.

There are dogs that are being trained for epileptic patients, because they can sense the electrical changes in the brain that occur before an episode. The dog then will do as it is trained, and signal the person to get to a safe place quick, and can even place a "biting block" in the person's mouth so they don't bite their tongue!

My mother suffers from silent seizures. That is she blacks out, and appears normal but has no recollection of the time that the seizure occurred. We noticed that when these happen, her dog will run to her side and whimper, and refuses to leave her.

Your cat knows that you're getting sick and is wanting to comfort you through it. Chances are they won't leave you alone much over the time that your ill. They will also probably try to lay on or beside you while you're feverish as the extra body heat you give off will be a perk for the cat while it "takes care of you."

I hope you feel better soon.
