Keep in mind the person you will be giving the card to and the occasion for giving the card. You can search on web for ideas. Once you are done with it you have get all the materials required to make it .Some common materials which are required are -Card making Paper you can find large varieties of papers at any craft store or even at stationary shops.Obtain the essential cutting utensils like Paper cutters, scissors and knives and glueAttain Embellishments such as stickers, eyelets, tassels and glitter. Beads look beautiful on cards. wooden spoons ,straws ,buttons ,you can even use pistachio shells (I use them to make flowers). Now you have the image of your card in your mind and all the materials also. Just start putting your ideas together. Some ideas are - Make paper flowers and paste them on the base paper.Draw designs or use a ruler to create borders around your card using brightly colored pens. Write wishes in artistic form using glitters or pens.Make heart shapes and use them. These are just few ideas ,you can get lots of them on web ,use them and create your own designs. What are the best handmade oboe reeds?

The best oboe reeds are the ones you make yourself, just as the best bassoon reeds are the ones made by the bassoonist for him/herself.

While it is not easy to do, it is possible to learn from an oboist who knows how _and_ makes their own.

You can get an idea of the cost of tools from:

and get an idea of the process at:

The reasons for making your own reeds are not to save money (although you will, once you get good at it), but to get reeds that consistently do what _you_ want them to do (rather than what some other oboist wants.)

Just remember: use high-quality tools and staples, get good instruction from someone whose reeds you want to play on, and be patient and take notes on everything you do.

If you go on to major in Oboe in college, you'll be expected to be making your own reeds before you get there, so start now!

I have a set of handmade products for which I want to fulfil orders across the country. What is the best 3rd party shipping option of my products?

Hi there! If you want to sell on any marketplace in the world and ship your items worldwide, why not try Shipwire?Shipwire is a fulfillment service. Here’s how it works: you create the item you’re selling, then you send it to a company who can pack, ship, and send it for you. Best part: they send your items with tracked shipping so you’ll always know where it is (and so will your customer). They also replace lost or broken items for free. If that’s not enough, they have warehouses all over the world so your international customers get their items sooner! This process is called “drop shipping”, and it just became legal on Etsy in January 2016. Other online platforms like Amazon will let you drop ship as well. You’ll want to do some research on whether this is for you, but my favorite fulfilment company is Shipwire.Want to learn more about Shipwire and lots of other make-life-easier resources for handmade sellers? What is the difference between diy and handmade?

The easy definition of "handmade" simply means made by hand, rather than by machine. Rather than being mass-produced on giant manufacturing equipment, handmade goods are made by hand, with only simple tools. You can become a professional jewelry-maker and the jewelry you make can still be "handmade."In practice, the word "handmade" is often applied to goods and designs that are given, traded, or sold to others, and has even become a marketing term. Etsy's definition of handmade includes everything from simply designing a product yourself, to actually making it yourself."DIY" is a term that stands for "Do it yourself." As this Wikipedia article indicates, it refers to building, fixing, and modifying things without experts or professionals. So if you are a professional carpenter or car mechanic, the work you do (even on your own house and car) doesn't really count as DIY.It most often applies to working on things for your own home (or car or wardrobe), rather than for selling or sharing with others. Examples include making a desk for yourself, or building a deck. Both of these words and movements are alternatives to the blind consumption rampant in our global culture. Some people are kind of picky about how they use the terms, and may try to exclude people who aren't making things the "right" way. I think it's important to remain inclusive, whether you are making handmade goods or working on some DIY projects. We should appreciate all efforts of people to make things in their own way.

I want to create my own brand of clothes to sell online. How do I start?

Spend some time creating your game plan first before you even create your online site. Most first time sellers end up quitting after a few months because they don’t see the online sales come in after they build their online site.First of all, find out who you’re going to be up against as in your competitors. This will give you an idea on the amount of work and effort you’ll need to put in to sell your own branded online of clothing. The bulk of it would be on marketing and getting your brand out there via organic search and social media without spending on any ads until you’re making profit. You may only want to hold a certain number of stock for your clothing to test the market as compared to having a lot manufactured and then facing the dilemma that they’re unable to sell. Offer limited quantity first and if response is good, you can notify buyers of incoming stock later for them to purchase.List down all the categories and products that you plan on selling and have good product images with models. Clothing sells best when customers are able to see it being worn in real life by models.Determine who would be your target customers. Wholesalers? End users? Both?Work out your costing in terms of monthly subscription fee for ecommerce service provider. If you’re looking for one that does not charge extra for features that you’ll need, consider InstanteStore.Get a domain name that is short and easy to remember. Bear in mind a lot of shoppers these days prefer to browse, shop and and buy online.Make sure your online purchasing process is easy and straight forward.Pick a good payment gateway and check their transaction fees.Offer free shipping for customers who purchase above a certain amount and pick a sensible courier service.Ask for feedback from family and friends to test out your site before you launch it.Reward customers for giving you positive reviews and feedback.Selling online is a learning journey. Give yourself a year to work on it as there’s plenty to learn and tweak along the way.Hope this helps.

What are some things they made homemade in the 1800s?

If I answered this with one of the most interesting it would reveal personal history.

Try getting some information on your great great grandmother she was made for sure in the 1800's.

Edit: Re read my answer, I figured out before I answered that it would have had to have been her mother.
By chance did any of your family join in this story of history? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wotxPTqKd...

Your tough: how about this, my wife has a small collection and this man has some nice work.
