Is losing weight fast bad for you?

Please be careful.... it sounds like you are setting yourself up as a yo-yo dieter. This type of behavior can really screw up your metabolism, with the end result being that you will gain weight very easily as you age and have a very difficult time losing weight.

I suggest you focus less on weight loss and more on feeling strong and healthy. That said, you can

- exercise twice a day, as long as you balance your sessions and do not over train. For example an hour of yoga and an hour of walking would probably be ok. Two hours of hard core running following by a later session of one hour of intense weight lifting every day would probably lead to over training. In an over trained state your body actually clings to fat, and eats at its own muscle.

- Eat fresh veggies, lean proteins, 2 servings of fruit, organic soy milk, - six meals daily

- Drink ginger tea

Dad and uncle make fun of my weight?

So I'm 14, girl, 5' 1" and I weigh 115-118
Lately my uncle has been saying rude things about my weight like "you're going to get fat by doing that?" "Are you trying to lose weight?" "You just sit there. do sports" "you only like sugar and unhealthy foods" and it's really getting on my nerves.
My dad on the other hand makes fun of my moms weight constantly. He's always making her seem like she isn't good enough and grabs, pokes, plays, touches at her fat. I've stood up for her repeatedly but he doesn't like it so now he plays with the fat on my arm and yesterday I stood up to him it's not in a bad way I just say stuff like "she isn't fat! Before you say stuff about others look at yourself" I give him his own medicine and he got up close to my face grabbed my stomach fat and just went on saying how I need to mind my own business.
I've went through phases where I'd fast or eat 200-700 calories a day and I don't think I can take it anymore. I've confronted my dad about my uncle but he didn't do anything, I've talked to my mom about it she helps me but he doesn't stop. At times I feel so worthless and fat. He also goes through drastic mood swings like he'll say stuff like oh I'm proud of you I love you but the next he gets so mean and cruel. Also if he knows what aggravates you he will use it to his advantage. I just don't know what to do anymore I just don't want to go through another 4 years of my life with negative emotions built up. Please help me idk what to do :'(

Hey you seem to be Indian ??? U wanna wear anarkali ?? I reduced my lot of weight recently yet I am little plumpy for my height ,,, but reduce in healthy way , don t skip food , have 2-3ltrs of water like 250ml every hour , have fruits , avoid junk/ oil deep fried foods ........ But you can have meat like seafood , chicken so that you need carboydrates.. And need to consume some calories in good ways like olive oil , ghee , paneer/cheese ,,,,, but not heavy like a dash ..........

I did not reduce to wear anarkali lol ............ just for being healthy......

Consuming lot of Greens leafy will reduce a weight ........

Lose Weight before summer?

What I have been doing the last couple of weeks and a different time before is a diet that my uncle told me to do. It has really helped and with some exercise you will see good results.

Breakfast: Cereal, preferably Special K, or maybe Cheerios. Not Honey Nut Cheerios, or any other sugary cereals, like chocolate cereals or Frosted Flakes. Use a low percent Milk like 2% or Lowfat or Non fat. Or maybe every once in a while eat one piece of toast with peanut butter. WHEAT BREAD. And NO butter.

Have some sort of protein bar before lunch. South Beach, or Special K. Not ones with tons of calories, just protein.

Lunch: Have like a sandwich or a salad. No Ranch Dressing because that is really bad for you. Try fruit with it. Maybe some yogurt, the light kind. DO NOT eat cheese or mayonaise. Those are not good for you. Make sure you have wheat bread also. Not white. That is very unhealthy.

After school eat another protein bar or some kind of fruit.

Dinner: have whatever you want, just not pizza or any unhealthy things like that. Make sure that it is a small amount. Don't eat too much.

Nothing after dinner. No bed snacks or anything. I know this is hard at first because this is when i like to eat too but, you will get used to it. Also Drink ONLY WATER. No pop, juice, milk (except in cereal for breakfast). That is very important.

Exercise:
To start out, walk a mile everday for a week. Then the next week run 1 minute, walk nine. Do this 3 times a day to equal up to 30 minutes. The next week after that, run 2, walk 8. Again adding up to 30 minutes each day. Do any extra exercise you can like riding a bike for a while or taking a dog for a walk, etc.

First I want to clarify first I’m no diet expert, I get most of my diet tips from the internet and my uncle who quote “has read a lot of men’s health over the years.”There is no perfect way to diet and it’s mostly about making healthier choices. Certainly cutting out junk food for a week will be helpful, but carbs aren’t inherently bad.I suggest cutting out only processed carbs such as white bread and sweets like cake and cookies. Whole wheat pasta, breads, and anything else that is also whole grains should be fine.I’d also like to point out that there are carbohydrates(aka sugars) in many healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables which I would suggest against purging from your diet, even for a week. Overall, just try to make better choices in the types of carbs you eat, and any time you eat something that has a lot of sugar make sure you make up for it by making sure you are also taking in enough dietary fiber to offset the sugar. That’s why the sugar in fruits is less bad for you than the sugar in soda: it comes with fiber which means your body processes it slower and your liver does not turn all that extra sugar into fat.Hope this helped! lemme tell you this, it's not going to be easy. over the winter i gained some wight and its a pain in the *** to get rid of it. eat 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones to help stimulate your metabolism to digest food quicker. do some ab exercises in the morning before you eat. i suggest crunches on an exercise ball. then go for a morning run. eat breakfast, i suggest oatmeal or some sort of healthy cereal or some fruit. go running later in the day again, ride your bike, go swimming or do some jumping jacks. the idea is to do lots of cardio (cardio= anything that raises your heart beat). if you ever want a snack, grab some celery sticks. they only have 6 calories, and it takes more than 6 calories to digest it. that is why celery is considered to have negative calories. you need a healthy diet too. fruits, nuts, fish, vegetables and olive oil is really good for you with like whole grain bread. your going to have to stick to this and exercise every day, not just sometimes. it takes dedication. and once you lose the weight, you need to keep it up or you will gain it all back. good luck, hope this helps, it helped me.

2 months= 8 weeks, which means she would be losing 5 pounds a week, that is not a crash diet. it's possible to do it while still eating right

I need some tips on how to lose a lot of weight I get teased at school for being fat. I eat a lot of snacks. I do sit ups a lot but they aren't working. I drink lots of water but something is not working. I need to lose some weight and also am I obese or overweight?
