My haunted house name?

I do a home haunt and last year the name was Frightmare but I already don't like it. I contacted the Reign of Terror haunt in CA and asked if I could use their name but they said they would appriciate it if I didn't. I LOVE that name. Any ideas on a haunted house name for my haunt? I don't want it to be cheesy but I want it to sound cool. And nothing with words like fright, manor, 13th, fear, house, or nightmare please. THANKS

My parents want to put their house under my name so that they can take out a loan on it. Is there any risks to this?

You can only borrow against a house YOU OWN. By your parents deeding the house to you they GUARANTEE they will NOT be able to borrow against it!They also likely breaks loan covenants, which may or may not be enforced by the lender when they find out title has been transferred.Even if it were a play to save assets prior to filing bankruptcy there is a three year look back on asset transfers and this one likely would not pass muster as to being a good faith transaction so even that fails. In short what your parents seem to be proposing is absolutely the worst thing they could possibly do, at least in financial terms.

I want to build a house over the land, which was in my father name, by taking a housing loan. I want to know whether I can apply loan in my name or do I need to change the ownership of the land to my name?

Yes, you can take a home loan on your name and even claim 80C tax exemption benefitsIts a big myth in India that you need to change the land on your name from your father if land is in father or mother name, like Ishant Harjai said in his answer. Why Do I say this ? Because in last week , I have talked to 2 home loan agents, who have shared with me major points related to this topic and have also helped their clients take home loan for building homes on land which is on their father and mother namesLet me share some points and rules related to this1. Land owner should be co-borrower - The first thing is that son/daughter can take home loan, just that the land owner (father/mother) should be co-borrower of the loan, if they are earning , it would be great if they can also share the EMI, that will fasten the process of loan taking2. NOC from legal heirs - If there are brothers and sisters, A NOC will be required from their side, where they agree that in future , they will not create an issue, and bank will be able to take over the land/house if EMI are not paid. SBI and HDFC banks are two banks whom I know give these loans because the two agents I talked to belong to these banks , so I am confirm on this . There might be some banks which might not entertain you, it really depends a lot on quality of your agent and how much experience he has. There might be more documentation in these kind of cases because of the complexity .Manish

Buying a house only under husbands name?

My husband and I are planning on buying a new house. Right now we own a condo which is in both names. We want to buy a new place but if would only be in his name.

Unfortunately I have a lot of student loans that are in deferment, but I want to protect our home in case i default and can't pay back in time so decided that my name off the new mortgage is beneficial.

However i am concerned. Should something happen to him what would happen with the house? Would it be considered mine since we were married at the time of purchase. Should my name be on the deed or tittle? Does having my name on the deed let title mean that should i default on loan they can place lien.

I do not have income nor a wonderfully high credit score so it is not like my info being placed there would help to make a better deal.

My boyfriend wants to buy a house but wants it in his name only?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3.5 years, and have been renting an apartment together for about 2 years now. Everything is great in our relationship, we've had no problems since we've moved in together yadda yadda yadda. He's now talking about getting a house, which I am all for, but says he wants it in his name so it will be "his house". I'm assuming he wants it to be his house so he can be the man, the provider etc. but it's bothering me for some reason. He said I could pay the property taxes on it, and pay for general household stuff which is what I do now, and he would pay the rent. I don't know why but it feels like maybe he just wants a roomate, or maybe he's thinking that we wont' last in the long run.

He mentions growing old together and things like that, but he IS very against marriage at the moment (or he's trying to throw me off....not sure) because he was engaged at 19, the girl cheated on him numerous times, all of his friends that have gotten married are now divorced, as well as his parents. But I'm really not gunning for marriage because I'm still in school, and honestly I don't even care at the moment if I ever get married, as long as we're in a committed relationship I am happy. But I'm wondering if his reluctance to put my name on "his" house is just maybe his fear of committment? or if maybe he's thinking we won't last? I know he loves me, and he is truly committed to me right now. He's never even thought about moving in with a girlfriend until I came along. I'm just a little put off by what he said. Or maybe I'm just being an irrational female lol

I am 20 and my parents want to buy a new house on my name to avoid paying around £30k in taxes, this will make it more difficult when I want to move out and purchase my own property, should I accept?

Reading this question, right off my antenna went up…. something’s not right here. First off, remember that I’m in the U.S., so your laws may be slightly different than ours. How do your parents reduce their taxes by you purchasing a home? They don’t get the interest write off, they don’t get the property tax write -off. Are they diverting income which would have been taxed to them into a home purchase, hoping that the tax authorities won’t figure out that they haven’t reported income? Whoa…. not good. First thing you need to do is understand exactly how it is that they are reducing their taxes by you buying a home.Next, here you have your title on a property but it isn’t yours. If there is a mortgage attached to the property, it probably will have your name on it. That would make it much more difficult to purchase another home in your name. If it is free and clear, then it may actually make it easier for you to purchase a home, but remember, questions are going to be asked about why you need two homes. So, as you can see, lots of questions. I think it would be very wise for you to consult with a lawyer on your own to figure out some of this stuff.

How can I add my house name on Google Maps?

You can add places to Google maps . Here are the steps to add a new place(and is applicable for adding home too).Go to Google Maps apps and drop a pin at the place where you need to add.Now some details will appear pull that up(scroll that up). Now you will see the option called “Add a missing place” . So, click on that .So, do the necessary entries to the appropriate fields. In Category you can select Home.Important Note: As soon as you select the category as home it will be converted to label and will only appear on the devices in which your Google account is logged in and it will be not publicly available for everyone. So, what you can do is to select some other nearest or other more appropriate category other than home. (Do this if you desperately want your home to publicly appear). As soon as the above 4 steps are done, your edit will be sent to google for review (this might take around 1min to 1 day). Once the Google approves your edit then the place will be available for public in Google maps.

My parents want to transfer the title of our house to my name, so I own the property. What is the best way?

If they have a mortgage this could be a problem. If they don't have a mortgage, this may trigger a gift tax owed. Consultant an accountant for the tax consequences. If your parents pass away and you inherit the house then the “cost” basis for capital gains tax (when you sell it) will be the value on your parent's date of death. If they transfer ownership now then you will have their “basis” for the cost.If your parents have substantial assets they may want to discuss it with a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Don't advise them to go with a mere Stockbroker Commissioned Salesperson. He/she may suggest poor investments for your parents because of the inherent commission conflict of interest. They're better of paying a fee to a highly qualified CFP.
