I Want To Order A Los Angeles Dodgers Authentic Sweater But I Don

Los Angeles Dodgers Seating?

Okay, so I'm from Northern California, and I'm planning to take a trip to Los Angeles CA. We're going to watch a Dodger's game and i was wondering what the best seats are? (I'm looking to pay $50.00 each or less.) I DON'T WANT THE LAST 2 ROWS OF SEATS AT THE TOP! =]

P.S. I was wondering if and where they sell those lifeguard sweaters that say "Lifeguard Los Angeles California"?

Please help! =]

Good Dodgers Insults (See Description!)?

I'm a long time Giants fan (also from the city, too) and I will be having my long-awaited vacation to Disneyland/Los Angeles area during the week of June 22. I'm planning on wearing my Giants cap and jacket the whole week to show my support.

I'm also thinking of watching the Dodgers-White Sox series at Dodger Stadium starting Jun 24 (wearing my SF gear). Certainly, I'm going to get booed and insulted (hopefully not jumped) when I'm there. Can you think of good Dodgers insults for me to say at those games? And please be honest. I'll also be looking for the best answer.

What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

Which baseball team should I support while living in London?

A2A.  Unless you have some kind of a tie (friends or family in Atlanta or New York, for example) to a particular team, there's no need to choose.  Teams like the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Brooklyn Dodgers (now Los Angeles) and Chicago Cubs have a storied past, with such great names as Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Jackie Robinson, and Mickey Mantle.  You can't go wrong following those.  For that matter, check out videos and documentaries of the great players of the past.  That will give you some real appreciation of the history and heroes of the past.  Especially note the integration of the Negro League with MLB in the 50s and 60s. Equally as important is your access to the game broadcasts.  Which team's broadcasts can you receive in London?  Can you get WGN (Chicago), WOR (New York) or TBS (Atlanta)?  That may determine who you follow the most. Since you're a fan, I'm assuming you know the rules, and maybe you've even played before.  If not, just watch any games to learn how baseball is played.  Hopefully you'll gain a real appreciation for baseball's gracefulness, heroes, skill, drama, and heartache.  If you just can't grasp the skill level required, note that many pitchers can throw a fastball between 90 and 100mph.  Find a local batting cage and check your speed, throwing as hard as you can.  If you can throw 60mph, I'll be impressed.  Enjoy the game.Update:  I've been watching the Ken Burns' series, and it is absolutely excellent.  I'm on the "4th inning" now.  Highly recommended.  If you want to learn about the history of baseball, this will provide more information than you could ever imagine.

What are some of Los Angeles' best kept secrets?

LACMA Go there on a weekday and walk around the grounds. Bring a picnic. Enjoy the equally cool architecture, and the quiet. The Getty Center GardensParking is cheap (or free, depending on the day) and there's no charge for entry. You can visit the grounds at sunset in the summer and see some LA's best views of the ocean. Bring a picnic and hang out on the gardens out back. It's a good spot for a date. Palos VerdesBeholds LA's most beautiful parks, tide pools, coastal drives, and point breaks. It's an oft-forgotten part of LA. Del Cerro Park is a popular spot where locals go to hike and mountain bike. The view panoramic view of Catalina and the dynamic coastline are breathtaking. This is by far my favorite look-out in LA.Señor G's Mexican Restaurant - Playa Del ReyThis is my favorite place to eat lunch. The food is tasty, and the Zen Master is known to hang out here from time to time. I'm actually writing this post over a Carlito's Way burrito. Damn good.Casablanca's Sunday Brunch ($13.99) - VeniceCasablanca could quite possibly have the best tortilla on the planet. Make sure to try it with butter and the tomatillo green sauce (with chunks of cheese). You could make a meal out of just that. The Old L.A. Zoo in Griffith ParkGreat place to hang out with friends, or just explore.  It's equally cool and spooky. The Kibitz Room in Canter's Deli This dive bar is a classic LA hangout. I love its personality. Also known to be a favorite among grizzled Hollywood musicians. The Library Bar at the Roosevelt HotelThis might not be a secret among the barhoppers, but for those who are looking for some of the most incredible mixology out there, it's worth a try. You'll find the bartenders behind a mountain of herbs, fruits and assorted juices. You might even see a celebrity or two.The Grove on Fairfax Parking Garage RooftopOffers one of the best views of Los Angeles, and it's so close to everything.Picnic Area 3 at the Hollywood BowlAlways sunny in the evening, this is an ideal spot for meeting friends before the show. But don't tell anyone!

How did the tradition of the Yankees not wearing names on their uniforms evolve?

Originally, players wore numbers that indicated their place in the batting order. That's why Babe Ruth wore #3 and Lou Gehrig wore #4. When some teams began putting names on uniforms, other teams like the Yankees said it was pointless as everyone already knew their players. But there was another reason. Ever hear the expression “You can't tell the players without a program.” Teams realized that names on uniforms would hurt program sales, a significant source of income. The Yankees contend that wearing the pinstripes, sans name, emphasizes the team over the individual.

Should I get a women's or men's NHL jersey?

I want a customized one because retailers don't seem to carry more than one player's jersey, so it's more expensive. So I'm wondering if I should get a woman's jersey instead...since it's slightly cheaper. I like the more authentic look, so can anyone tell me if the women's jerseys have stitched on numbers and letters? What are the differences besides the fit?
