I Want To Read A Book That Is On The Next Level Of Dark. A Book That Is Utterly Dark And Powerful

Which book should I read-1984, Fahrenheit 451, or The Dark is Rising?

I read F 451 a few months ago for English class. It's kinda slow in the beginning but then it is better in part two and three. My English teacher said that he personally likes 1984 better than F 451. Hope this helps. :)

What children's book is the best one you have ever read?

One of the best books which is taught at elementary level and at PHD level is written by the best dystopian writer ever existed. Animal farm by George Orwell. You got that right. The book is beautifully written and was way beyond its time. Using the caricatures of animals, the book describes the emergence and development of Soviet communism in the form of animal fable. Moreover, this book elucidates the story of how Joseph stalin rose to power and became of the powerful dictator. Furthermore, it teaches the readers how people in power uses bourgeois to stay in power. In addition to that, it also tells how big shots manipulate commoners by playing with the insecurities and weaknesses. Thus, this book is a must read for those who want to broaden their horizons and restrain themselves to get played by these big fishes. To sum up, in order to delve a little bit into the political strategies and power at the higher level, Animal farm is a highly recommended book. Most importantly, it's a small book with nearly 100 pages.Happy reading!

Harry Potter fans: What would Dumbledore have done?

It is in the book too, and I think the quote answers your question. "Did I know that I had just met the most dangerous Dark wizard of all time?" said Dumbledore. "No, I had no idea that he was to grow up to be what he is. However, I was certainly intrigued by him. I returned to Hogwarts to keep an eye on him, something I should have done in any case, given that he was alone and friendless, but which, already, I felt I ought to do for others' sake as much as his." Dumbledore did what he thought was best; he invited Tom to Hogwarts and gave him the opportunity to have a clean slate with the students and staff. He hoped that he would use the chance to turn his life around - stop bullying people, stealing and start using his gifts for good. But, Dumbledore never forgot what Tom revealed to him - he was worried that he was already using his power to hurt and control others. He warned him that behavior wouldn't be tolerated at Hogwarts and always kept a close watch on him. Tom fooled other staff, but not Dumbledore about his true personality. Even at the very end, Dumbledore believed that people were capable of change and hoped that they would, no matter how unlikely that might seem. I doubt that Dumbledore would've denied Tom a chance to do the right thing, even if he could've known what he would later be. He seemed to live by the motto: "Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst."

What Star Wars books should I read up to the Legacy of the Force series?

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I really want to read the Legacy of the Force series, but I'm trying to read a lot of the major Star Wars books before then so I'll have a better idea of what happened before then. I'm currently reading the Thrawn trilogy, and I've read the first 2 Jedi Academy books. What other books should I read in order to fully understand the Legacy series?

What are some of the best Sidney Sheldon books that you've read? Why do you like them?

It was 2 years ago that I decided to buy a Sidney Sheldon book,an extrapolation by Tilly Bagshawe- "Angel of the Dark" and finished it in exactly 2 days despite my exams.I had fallen in love with it, it was so, so good.Full of last moment and unpredictable twists and turns, with powerful female protagonists and exotic locations around the world!List of the books I have read(in no order):BloodlineRage of angelsMaster of the gameWindmills of the GodsThe doomsday conspiracyThe stars shine downNothing lasts foreverThe best laid plansTell me your dreamsThe sky is fallingAre you afraid of the dark?Mistress of the game (Tilly Bagshawe)After the darkness (Tilly Bagshawe)Angel of the dark (Tilly Bagshawe)If tomorrow comesMy favourites:Angel of the dark :It was the first book of his that I'd read and none of the others had the effect on me that it had had.Rage of angels : Loved the courtroom feel. Are you afraid of the dark? : Gripping and edge-of-the-seat suspense.Tell me your dreams :Multi personality disorder ,again, yet it was so good.Specially the last line of the book.Nothing lasts forever : A good and different plot. After the darkness : The last 1-2 chapters revealed a lot of answers to questions that had kept me confused throughout the novel. The doomsday conspiracy : A strong male lead in a Sidney Sheldon novel along with a chase around the world?Whoa.Windmills of the Gods : It is different in the sense that the protagonist leads a more normal and less glamorous life here, so basically a different setting.Anyway, a good book.Bloodline : Lots of people to suspect here- just makes it more interesting!A big twist too.The stars shine down : Has lots of twists here too, but is more like The Master of the Game , instead of a mystery thriller like you'd expect from Sheldon. That's it for now. Will update when I read more of his books.Update:Finally read If tomorrow comes a month back! :)
